Wow... I was not expecting this. It's been a while since I had some good catfish. I knew once there was a little wait on my food it was going to be good. This is not fast food. Even the fries were good. Flavorful food, great service, and I'm ready to try other menu options. Please try them out!! Thank you

Hands down the best soul food that you are going to find in Springfield. There was 4 of us. 1 got fried chicken. 1 got fried fish. The other 2 of us got the brown beans w/fried potatoes and sweet corn bread. The greens were the absolute best. Cajun fried corn was so good. We were all just sharing everything. It was all just awesome. The portions are also good sized. Will be back, a lot.

Amazing dining experience. Food ( Brown beans with fried potatoes and sweet cornbread with a side order of collard greens) was exceptional with an authentic southern soul food stamp of approval. Definitely, makes you feel like you are at Ma Dear(Big Mama)'s family Sunday dinner with the entire family around the table.

Customer service was fast, warm , respectful and kind.

if you have not been to Mimi‘s, I highly suggest you get in that car and go! The prices are great and so are your portions. The food is absolutely a blessing to your tastebuds and soul. The staff is wonderful they are super nice and know just what to get for you if you can’t decide!!
I’ve been eating here too often, but I don’t care my soul is happy!!
Plus take out wait time and dine in wait time is always pretty quick!

It was pretty amazing. Real home-cooked, cooked to order food. I can't begin to explain how delicious this food was. I mean...it was seriously good. And the prices were on point. It's a family owned and run business and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. And they also cater, which I would be thrilled to have them cater one of our work events. I highly recommend.

Super good food, the fried chicken was superior. Most importantly FAMILY OWNED and operated! It took a minute to get my food but good food should always take time. 5 out of 5 for me. 🙂👍🏼

The collard greens are the best I've had in Springfield. The cornbread is sweeter than I normally would prefer but I put it in my greens and it was delicious. The greens are spicy like I like them. The chicken was also great. I ordered through Doordash and my food arrived fresh and hot. I will definitely be back for those greens.

Best place in Springfield. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere is calm and clean. The fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and juicy with crispy skin. The cornbread is sweet and moist (best I've ever had). The fish is perfectly seasoned and flaky. This is the only place in Springfield that I've been to that knows how to cook okra. The okra is perfect. It's not slimy in the middle or oily like these other places. This is very delicious soul food. Real soul food like I grew up on.

First time at Mimi's, excellent fried catfish with perfect amount of cornmeal breading and it was hot and fresh. Cornbread was wonderful but would have been better warm with butter. Collard greens were good with a bit of a kick. Check them out! I will return for more. 😋

Growing up in a family that was all about food, you start the Crave certain food that your grandma or your mom used to make and this place hits me with that nostalgia right when I walk in. The smells are great the sound coming from the kitchen sends me back they got gospel playing with R&B reminds me of my dad in the kitchen. Then you get your food and every bite remind you of Grandma's home cooking I wish I could get this place 10 Stars it made me feel home. I want to support this place as long as I can I recommend it to anybody who loves good food

Sides were cold, no ice in the beverage dispenser, indifferent service, but those pork chops were by far most delicious things I’ve eaten this trip.
EDIT 6 months later: Went out of our way to return home from the eclipse through Springfield to eat here. Verified their hours (open till 9 Monday), but were told they were closed at about 7 pm. Mentioned we had driven all day (From Little Rock) to eat here, and they said - "Well in that case, what would you like"?

It was simply wonderful. My whole perspective on Corn Bread has been changed. One of the best places for food in Springfield. I will be visiting more frequently. ❤

The food was really good! My first order was through DoorDash, which altered my initial experience. I went in person the second time and it was so worth it! Great food made by sweet people! I recommend the fried catfish and greens, everything was fresh!

First time ordering food from Mimi’s, and it’s safe to say I’m blown away. Everything me and my boyfriend ordered was absolutely delicious, right down to that cornbread. Let me tell y’all something, I come from the Deep South and I was far from disappointed. Five star rating.

Yum!!!😋 I am from out of town and was recommended this place. I ordered the fish with the spaghetti and it was fantastic! I thought both were very flavorful, especially the catfish! I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town.

Clean, Home style friendly, comfortable space. The food was outstanding cornbread done right some of the best collars that I have had since Texas. Try them out… Good Food, Good friends, Good times.

Right near the top, if I had to name places with the best fried chicken I've ever eaten! Texture, thickness, and seasoning of the batter was nearly perfect. It reminded me more of "home made" fried chicken instead of commercial mass-prepped.
Same can be said for the fried okra and cornbread. Most places that serve fried okra seem to use a food service, pre-battered, frozen product. Mimi's okra taste like they cut the okra fresh themselves, and then used just the right amount of either flour or cornmeal. It's more of a light coating, not a batter! I loved it! ❤

Outstanding customer service! Very seasoned food! Well worth the wait, quality food takes time! And it’s black owned, highly recommended!
