Grit & Grace Family Restaurant

I've never really heard of a decent restaurant in Amherst. Until today, if your looking for a great place with awesome food I highly recommend you check them out. The service is great as everyone is friendly with a good attitude. The food is great with everything being fresh with great flavor. I came in for lunch and the restaurant was pretty busy but they handle that like a pro. We didn't wait that long from the time we ordered to the time our food came out. Definitely a nice family restaurant with great prices and awesome people.

Great fresh, homemade food! Owners great, service friendly, fast. Definitely this restaurant on my favorite to stop and eat on way up or down from up north. Clean restaurant with local homemade syrups and other products. Love the homemade Door County cherry pie. Thanks, God bless.

I went with a group of seven. Everyone was happy with their meal. The server was attentive and we shared a few laughs. I enjoyed my mushroom burger. Next time I’ll order a salad the salads were great!

We stopped by for breakfast after leaving the Iola Car Show. Our waitress was very friendly and very efficient. Drink orders were filled quickly. Our breakfasts all came hot and exactly as ordered. Great place for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

What a fantastic place! Very nice atmosphere, fast and friendly service, and the food was excellent! Jalapeño cheddar bread was amazing! Can't wait to go back!

What a gem! It's hard to find a down-home small town resteraunt. Excellent wait, staff, and the food was exactly what I had hoped for. Too bad it isn't closer to home, I hope to be back on our next trip through.

Our family dined in for breakfast on Mother's day. The restaurant was extremely busy but the service & attention to our requests was outstanding, & the food was great! Definitely recommend

Had a wonderful sandwich and bowl of soup during my first visit. Nice staff who took the time to chat with us. Looking forward to Taking my husband on Friday for your fish fry.

If in the area, please stop! They are phenomenal! Friendly and efficient! The food is homemade, hot and delicious! Wish we lived closer! Great job!

What a gem of an establishment! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent. I would highly recommend coming here if your in the Amherst area and looking for good meal in a cozy atmosphere.

We have now been in the area twice and went there both times. Love what they stand for and will continue to visit when we are in town.

Always greeted with a smile. Wait staff is right there to get you anything you need. Food is home cooked and amazing!! Desserts are delicious!

Hubby and I had a delicious lunch. Broasted chicken for him and All American Cheeseburger for me. Delicious cheddar cheese soup and homemade potato chips. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful place to work. Not only have I been wholeheartedly embraced and accepted here, but I have been shown the fruits of a sincere team effort towards a common goal. It is clear that this establishment cares deeply about serving its community with grace and kindness. The food is absolutely tantalizing, I would eat at Grit and Grace forever and I don’t think I would ever tire of it! On a busy Saturday morning the food was so good and the owner waked around asking if everything was OK. Outstanding!!

It was a pleasure to stop. We remembered the old place and hadn't been there in years. Stopped for breakfast. Everything was great. Our waitress was fantastic, and the food was excellent. I'm definitely going to frequent it there again.

We always enjoy going to Grit and Grace for breakfast or lunch. The food is very good, and the wait staff is always super nice. It's a pleasant atmosphere. What else could you possibly need?
