Beautiful water view, great seafood menu. Mahi Mahi tacos is a definite recommend! Super chill low key locals joint where your kids can run around in the grass by the water as you watch the sunset!

Had a lovely dinner here last night. Several seating options: outside on the deck, inside a screened porch area, or inside in the air conditioning, so really something for everyone. No matter which you pick there are amazing views of the river and sunset!! All the staff were super friendly.

Menu is simple with a focus on fresh seafood. I enjoyed the flounder basket which was super crispy and very flavorful. Husband enjoyed the grilled shrimp salad—was glad to try to comeback sauce as his salad dressing. Nice to walk around on the lawn and dock after eating. Can’t wait to come back.

The food and scenery are both incredible. Great place to take pictures right on the water. It even has a pier right next to it. Food is delicious and it has one of, if not the best customer service in the area. Steve, the owner, is also such an amazing person. Would 100% recommend

Had shrimp basket with coleslaw and fries ($18), flounder basket with fries and red pea & rice salad ($17), and unsweetened iced tea ($2). All was good. Fries have an old bay type seasoning on them. Seafood batter was light and crispy. Reusable baskets used (yay for environmental consciousness). Plastic forks though. Red pea and rice salad is a vinegar base (like a macaroni salad) and has a bell pepper flavor to it. Recyclable cups and recycling receptacle. Order at the desk and seat yourself with a table number for them to bring food to you. Inside seating, outside seating (screened and unscreened) with view of the Cape Fear River. Clean bathrooms. Variety of draft and canned beers and ciders available. Wine, and a couple frozen cocktails. Canned soft drinks and iced tea (sweet and unsweet) available in dispenser as well as ice and water. Dog friendly.

Beautiful place and great tasting food, not much more to say. Everyone that worked there was very friendly, we ended up talking to one of the owners Steve who was very nice, I hope they end up successful.

The place is very casual, you order at a counter and food runners bring you your food. They have wine, domestic cans, and draft beer as well if you just want to come drink and watch the sunset. Perfect for families with small children since they can pretty much roam free in the yard. I feel like we could have gotten some more shrimp for the price but it was such good quality I can't dock them for that. The fried flounder was the best I have ever had. In summary, we will be returning.

Enjoyed a delicious calabash style seafood diner with great views of the river. Looks like they are closing for the season on October 8th.

Order at the counter and wait for table delivery. Pretty inexpensive considering it is water front. I had the PoBoy flounder, it's lightly battered and it was good.

Great atmosphere. Went for a drink and had the peel and eat shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. Kind of a hidden gem and we will go back.

I’m not sure where you currently are but you should be here! Well hidden off the beaten path and quite. The food was outstanding. Ima need you all to keep this place going while I’m gone so I can enjoy some more mahi tacos next year. Well?…. GET TO IT PEOPLE! 10 🌟

Fantastic view and location on the Cape Fear river. Great staff. Casual service and food style but that work here. Had both the flounder basket and shrimp tacos. Good! Also good wine, beer and draft selection. 5 stars

Fantastic little spot! Wait staff awas super friendly and attentive. Husband ordered the fish tacos and cucumber 'n tomato salad, he says was some of the best fish tacos he's had! I ordered the shrimp basket, pleasantly surprised how well they were fried, just like I'd do at home. Not to bread and not over fried, very delicious for me!
Heard about the sunsets, so will capture when able. Great views though with screened porch or open deck seating, or if you don't like outside dining, plenty of seats inside where the ac is running.

Looking for a new experience, you now have an option. Riverview restaurant in Kure Beach, At Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation area. On the Cape Fear river. Undoubtedly the most beautiful sunset in New County fresh seafood, beer and wine. Something this area and island has needed for a long time. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This place is unbelievable! Talk about a hidden gem. My only regret is not finding this restaurant until the last night of our vacation.

The food, the drinks, the vibes, the VIEWS are incredible. This was our favorite experience of the entire week spent on Carolina Beach.

It’s a casual, beautiful setting. ALL OF THE FOOD IS GLUTEN FREE - battered in corn flour. A celiac girl’s dream! I ate here with zero issues. Super family friendly. We watched the sunset while my toddler ran around in their front yard. We even saw an alligator and watch someone catch a shark.

Don’t miss this unique and beautiful spot!!!

Good food, GREAT views! The people here were kind and friendly. There is an open air deck, a screened porch and an inside area with AC. Very casual atmosphere.

This is a true hidden gem out near Fort Fisher on the Airforce Recreational property. You can't see it from the street and I wouldn't have known about except a local person told me about it. They have a small menu that they do really really well. Specialties are typical po'boys and baskets, which are fried, but there are also taco and salad options that can be ordered with grilled options. Seating is inside in ac, outside in a screened porch, or outside riverside. Wonderful views right on the river with cool breezes off the water even in August. Service was friendly and prompt. You order at the counter and get a number. Your food is brought out to you where you are sitting pretty quickly. I will go back everything I'm in the area!!!

We are local to Kure Beach and this was our first visit. The restaurant was clean and well managed. We ordered at the counter and there was a pretty long line of people waiting but the process only took about 5 minutes which was really fast. The food came out about 10 minutes later and was nice and hot. We ordered the seafood combination platter which consisted of shrimp, oysters, and flounder all fried of course with two sides. The food was delicious and seemed to be of a very good quality of seafood meaning the oysters were nice and large and the flounder was thick and fluffy. All of the staff we met were friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. We sat on the outside porch which gave an awesome view of the Cape Fear River and a very nice ambience due to the setting sun just across from the river. I was thoroughly impressed and will be returning soon. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Wasn't anything like we thought it was going to be had two great drinks 🍷 and shrimp and tomato and cucumber salad also a rice and red beans it so delicious 😋 my husband has flounder and shrimp and oyster and fries and coleslaw ! It was delicious . can't wait to go back .we walked the deck and the grounds really nice .then watched the sun go down ♥

Amazing view right on the water. Lots of seating options. The food is fantastic. I’ve now been several times and have tried the shrimp, flounder, tacos and have all been top notch. This is a little hidden gem of a place and will soon have a line out the door every day they’re open. Definitely check it out. I was also told that a full bar is coming soon, so I’ll be expecting some delicious boat drinks to pair with the food. Five stars all day!!!
