J SLOPPY BURGER

My wife and I shared a #1 which is the flagship Sloppy Burger. I’ve never seen anything quite like it aside from on TV. It was huge! I kept looking at everything on it and noticing something new.

Funny thing about it is, it came in under $14.00 with fries and a drink. Not too long ago, my family and I went to Eugene and went to a fancy burger joint. The burger itself, with no fries, was $20 and it was terrible.

This place is great and nice to have in the neighborhood.

Owners are amazing, and so was the food! Additionally, they were very accommodating to my dietary needs! The atmosphere was good except you couldn't see out the windows and I don't recall any artwork on the walls. But I was there for the food and that gets high marks for sure.

My friend and I stopped here on a whim looking for something to eat as we traveled down the 5 to San Francisco. All I can say is yes Lord and thank you Jesus for delivering some flavorful and WELL seasoned food.. Being from Texas we love our food seasoned and this place definitely gave it to us! We were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly pleased. Excellent food, superb customer service and wonderful prices. Highly recommend 10 out of 10. 👌🏾😋 (we had J's BS Burger)

The flavor you get and Jay's food is so delicious. Everything he serves tastes better than your own mom's cooking. Sorry but it's true. The service is excellent.

Awesome place. Hubby got breakfast bowl special; eggs, sausage, potatoes, onions, pepper. It was sooo good. I had chicken and steak street tacos which were really yummy, and I'm from SoCal, so I can be a taco snob. French fries were home style, thick with skin on, just like mom's. Service was so friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.
Only downside is they're not in Roseburg. Haha

Food was delicious 😋 and service was excellent, but you must have a big appetite. It's a must stop at place.

Sunday southern buffet was great! Being our first time, we tried a little bit of everything. It was all very well seasoned and delicious. Not sure I can choose a favorite side, loved the red beans n rice, collards with bacon, scalloped potatoes, even the carrots were extra yummy. We tried the beef ribs, fried chicken and fried catfish. All good, but the fried chicken was frankly perfect. Not a big fan of the lemonade, but it did the job. We are definitely making a habit of this Sunday meal.

Home made food done right!! I had a steak burrito, it was huge, fresh and delicious. My husband had a cheese burger and fries. The burger was juicy and yummy, fries where great! All food was perfectly cooked. Very nice folks! We can't wait to try the soul food on sundays!

If you are looking for Southern style food on I-5, Make the stop!
Enjoyed a Sunday Buffet of ribs, fried shrimp, collards, beans, and fried okra. Loved the food and the hospitality! Burgers look great, will try them next time.

We were heading back to Texas and stopped here to eat. So glad we did, the Burgers and onion rings were so good , as were the chili cheese fries plate. Word of advise, get the child’s size, it’s huge! Can’t wait to stop back in on our next trip!!

Great burgers and fries, tasted like home cooking and I don’t use that phrase loosely. I had the double cheeseburger and it was perfect, the house garlic ranch dipping sauce for the fresh cut fries was the icing on the cake. Location couldn’t be better when traveling through on I5. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. A+

Best home cooked food. The food was perfect. Great flavor. Culturally correct. The cook is absolutely the sweetest man who puts a lot of love into the food. They dont seem to be getting enough business due to 1) bad parking. 2) small dinning area that's a bit uncomfortable. 3) they change their menu depending on the day and week with no set in stone hours. No burgers on sundays. Hope to see them grow.

This is a great little family run burger restaurant! They also serve breakfast, which I will be going back to try.

First, the owner is a super nice guy, secondly, the breakfast burritos are outta this world and last but not least, the after church dinner on Sunday is AMAZING!
I had fried chicken, red beans & rice, cornbread, Mac n cheese, shrimp stir fry, collard greens and cheesy potatoes and unsweetened tea all for $12.00. He had catfish and okra also but I don’t dig okra. If you want a great meal, definitely come to J’s ♥

Favorite place we have found in a long time.
Operators/owners were great to talk to, food was fantastic and good prices.
Hidden gem, we will be frequent visitors from here on.

This was the best breakfast ever. I ordered my bacon crisp and it was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to go for a meal there again. Super nice people with family friendly atmosphere. ❤

Family and I stopped here as we passed through off I-5. It happened to be a Sunday, and although my husband and I were craving a burger and fries, we were pleasantly surprised with the After Church Supper. The catfish and gumbo instantly reminded me of home. And fried Okra?!! Yes please! A tiny place with huge flavor and soul! Now all they need are some hammocks in the parking lot for an after supper nap 😉😍
