Blue Spruce Saloon And Diner

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon in March and apparently they do Bingo here every Tuesday and a huge crowd shows up. Had a blast chatting with a lot of local folks and had a very good grilled chicken burger and slaw.

They prime rib both Friday and Saturday night. It is good and you can get a truly rare piece if you want one. Horseradish is raw (so much better).

Best place we found if you are anywhere near Packwood. The chef's salad was fantastic. As was the hamburger steak perfectly cooked to order. Crispy tots! Also went back& had the Carbonara chicken wrap. Loved it! Great fast & friendly staff!

The Blue Spruce is a sprawling sitdown restaurant that has two general areas, one for families, and one that is more bar like. It is incredibly efficient on a busy Friday night in seating arrivals, and in taking and delivering drink and food orders. It has a fine selection of beers and a very nice ambience.

This place is fantastic. I had the Bigfoot Burger. I had to share it because there's no way I could finish it by myself.

Place is awesome! Wife and I had the same thing, 8oz steak with baked potato and salad. Both of our steaks were absolutely done perfectly! Best steak and baked potato we've had in awhile. Our server was "on the spot" always! Excellent service! We will definitely be back here without a doubt. The only reason I gave atmosphere a 4 star...just a little loud for me, but that's just me. Typical bar atmosphere, lots of people, it seemed to be a pretty popular spot for a Friday night. The food was piping hot, the fries were crispy, the beer was super cold. All in all this was a great spot to kick it for a few hours before we went back to our cabin. We ended up outside in their gigantic covered beer garden and chit chatted with an owner/manager and she was very friendly and helpful and even gave us some great recommendations for things to do and places to see before we head home. I really liked it here. If I am ever up here again I will definitely stop by. 😁

The waitress was busting her butt to keep everyone taken care of, she was efficient but didn’t make it feel rushed. The food was good, just got a cheeseburger and fries. As my mom says “remember where you are” when ordering. Was overall happy to find a place in a small town so I didn’t have to cook.

Fantastic food and great service. I came in for lunch around noon and was one of a handful of people. The bartender/waitress was very friendly and attentive. I had the 1/2 lb Spruce burger with beer battered fries and was very satisfied. The fries were crispy and perfectly cooked. The burger was juicy and had fantastic flavor.

Staying in the area for the week. Stopped in for dinner, drinks, & loose $20 in pull tabs lol.our waitress Tia was wonderful & friendly.

Had a great dinner. Enjoyed the Halloween decorations.

Great service, great food!
Stayed in Packwood while hiking around Rainier and came back here all 3 nights.
Staff was very friendly and super fast with the food!

Awesome burgers happened to make it on taco night need I say less great place to stop. And staff is awesome drinks are cold especially after hiking!

Yeah Buddy. Great burgers and drinks await. Try the 1 POUND burger -- in one patty, made in-house. NOT a frozen patty. Real fries too. This is only half of the ONE POUNDER.

Best place in town to hear all the local news. The kind that never makes newspaper. Tee hee hee.

I am a bit biased towards country side diners 😁. This one in particular had a story to narrate through the framed pictures on the wall. Food was freshly prepared. Service was cool, furniture and sitting arrangements were nice too.

The blue spruce saloon is a classic small town bar. The food is deep fried and the staff is kind and friendly. An interesting election of warm specialty cocktails and a variety of beer and wine selections make for a comfortable experience. Not usually crowded, the locals from both sides of the mountains come out strong for the Apple Cup. It's a warm woody cozy place to recover from a long drive or day out in the mountains.

Been here a few times over the years, beer is good the food is tavern fare, sorry to say they were out of a lot of things due to supply shortages and a very busy weekend. Staff was a little harried due to being busy but they did a fine job.

Awesome place! Great food! Good service! Must go!
