The Mockingbird is my home away from home. I’ve been coming here for the last 12+ years. When I walk I instantly feel welcomed and my heart is warmed by the sweet staff. The food is by far some of the best in town! Everything is homemade and you can taste the love they put into everything they do. And don’t get me started on their chia lattes! 10/10 would recommend you try the mockingbird, and experience the difference. ❤

Decided to check out Mockingbird Café in old town Bay St. Louis and I’m glad I did. The ambience is very nice. It is in an old house with a wraparound porch. You can sit out front of the restaurant or you can sit on the side of the restaurant, surrounded by green foliage and plants or you can dine inside if you wish. They have a lot to offer breakfast and brunch. The barista was constantly busy as they offer all types of coffee creations. They also offer spirits in your coffee something for everyone.
They have an à la cart menu, breakfast and sandwiches. Their menu is actually very diverse, but it is not too busy. They also offer children’s 12 and under menu which is awesome, and of course their specialty items. Today they even offered the soup of the day was chicken and sausage gumbo. I was tempted to try it, but leave that for another visit. I decided to try the second street sandwich for breakfast which it was awesome! Ingredients were fresh and tasty although it is big enough that you could probably share… considering I took half home. The ambience of the whole café is nothing but positive and very welcoming.
If you’re over in old town Bay St. Louis, you should check them out definitely a great place!

This is an enjoyable morning spot that is neighborhood supported. Has a fun outdoor seating atmosphere in a very calm area.
We enjoyed the homemade biscuit with two chicken tenders and maple butter, which all composed into a chicken biscuit. The biscuit was very good, not much stability, not a bad thing 😉. The tenders were tasty the maple butter was good but did not have much maple flavor.
The drip coffee was a great morning blend that was mellow. The sidekick enjoyed an iced vanilla cold brew and gave two thumbs up on sweetness and flavor! We will be back.

Come in, order and pay at the counter, get a number and pick a seat. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I got the breakfast fries, which is fries, house made sausage gravy and a fried egg. It was amazing. Good service, reasonable prices.

Very pleasant Cafe! Really enjoyed the ambiance. Area was well maintained, service was prompt and courteous. Food was delicious and my Cortado was perfection. Recommend the Good Karma hash and French Toast with berries. 🧡👏🏽Also the butter on the waffle was scrumptious 😋

Brisket and grits are incredible I've eaten here several times and never had a bad experience. Perfect location fits perfectly with the artist vibe of the Bay....food always comes fast....

We’ve been to Bay st Lou’s Louisiana and I was looking for the best coffee and break fast near me.
I thought to try this place.

Ambience -
The place is decorated with different paintings , coffee quotes and coffee flavors.
Really place makes me to feel pleasant.

Coffee and breakfast -
I ordered a double macchiato with caramel and 2nd street breakfast sandwich.
Breakfast is healthy and very tasty.
Love to visit this place again.

Service - The place offers semi self service and once you place order and associates get the food onto your table with a smile and help you get comfortable.

Fun cafe with amazing coffee selection. The espresso was delicious and many of the syrups were homemade. I tried the purple potato latte iced and added homemade pistachio syrup. The granola was homemade as well. We also got the avocado toast with added fried eggs. Very nice selection of food that accommodates different dietary needs!

Had a extremely delicious lunch at Mockingbird Cafe yesterday. This was our first time here. Beyond the amazing aromas of the food and drinks, there was a wonderful vibe throughout the cafe of splendid artwork and unique decor.

We both had a burgers: I had the Mockingbird Burger with the addition of bacon and a fried egg, and my wife had the Summer Garden Burger.
(both came with house chips)

We also both had cocktails: me the bloody mary and she the blood orange mimosa.

The food, the drinks, and the staff were all amazing!

Looking forward to the next trip to the Mockingbird Cafe!

Mockingbird is HOME! Beginning in 2006, my friends and I would spend almost every day after school sipping frozen mochas. We used to dance to Star & Micey and spend long summer days chatting in the arm chairs. In 2018, I brought my now-husband on our second date here. Now, we bring our two kids! Mockingbird has always been there for us, to comfort us when we’re sad, to relieve us when we’re hungover, to help us celebrate when we can all get together. I will forever be a believer in and an admirer of Mockingbird and all that it has to offer. Go make memories here!!!

My favorite spot in Bay St. Louis. You can grab full breakfast spread or a la cart homemade baked goods. Coffee is full flavor and the add-on ingredients taste natural. A few spots to sit inside but the outdoor seating is where it’s at. You can feel the ocean breeze and enjoy the fresh air.
There’s also yoga studio directly out back.

Amazing vibe! Delicious food and in an incredibly cool part of town. Very reasonable prices and everything is made to order.

We loved our visit to the Mockingbird Cafe. We are from Oregon, so finding cafes that remind us of home is one of our favorite things. The service, food, and drinks were all wonderful here. We felt welcomed and treated really well by the staff and kitchen! Love how quiet it was when we visited, too. We had the 2nd Street Sandwich (mine with brioche, my husband’s with the waffle) and it was very filling and delicious.

This is a place you don’t want to pass up. Friendly and homey environment. Will definitely return.

We sat outside after ordering our food. So delicious. I enjoyed my veggie burger so much! Great coffee. Beach nearby. Homemade chips. Artsy atmosphere.

We had a lovely brunch! You order at the counter, seat yourself, and clean up after your done, but that keeps it simple! All of the food was perfectly cooked and flavorful.

This is as good of food as you can find. One of the best omelettes I've ever had. Grits were really smooth. All the young ladies working here are supper nice. Only reason they only get a five star from me is you can't give a six. Most excellent.

My favourite breakfast restaurant in the town; should definitely visit if you ever come to this hood. Lots of free parking available. Great service and yummy food.

Great little cafe. Lovely vibe with lots of local art on display. Friendly staff. Menu is decently varied and serving sizes are generous. On top of all that, coffee was also quite good - even by Australian standards.

Atmosphere:
The Mockingbird has created an atmosphere that is comfortable and packed with charm.

Coffee:
I have had the cappuccino and cortado. The espresso is great and locally roasted.

Food:
I couldn’t expect anything better! The food is definitely a once in a while treat!

Chicken and waffles:
The batter on the fried chicken was different than I expected, but it was crunchy and perfectly cooked.

Biscuits and gravy:
The gravy is PACKED with flavor and covers buttery biscuits. You won’t be disappointed!
