I met up with my friend last Friday arrived around 11:30 am and it was somehow a bit full but nothing major. We were seated and the waitress was super super friendly, I didn’t get her name but she’s was wonderful and kind. The food was really good, and before I left I bought some cinnamon rolls and they were super fluffy and delicious, I’ve never had a really good cinnamon roll like that before it’s so worth it. Overall we had a wonderful experience.

Good food, best service. The corned beef hash has some gristle, but definitely not from a can. Potatoes could've been fried a bit. But hashbrowns were perfection, and so were the eggs. The omelet was putting off a pizza vibe but perfect. Will eat there again and try the club!!

If you enjoy diners, you'll love Homestead, a legit old school diner that leans into a country vibe. The restaurant looks like an old barn and it is dark inside with cozy booths.
I had the meatloaf on my latest visit and it was excellent: flavorful but not too salty, tender, a large portion with excellent mashed potatoes and gravy.
Baked goods, including bread and pies, are made on premises and are delish. They make Indian fry bread and different dishes with it ...I definitely have that on my to do list.
The waitresses are fast and efficient. They chat with the regulars and know what they want.
There's a large parking lot making it easy to visit. Located across from the B&I.

This place has a great menu of creative breakfast items with large truck-stop portions.

One day I'll save room for one of those cinnamon rolls!

This place has been here since time began, but don't feel it's too late to visit! I have to say, the coffee, which by all means should taste like dirty dish rags was actually amazingly good! It tastes like coffee!!
The chicken fried steak omelette was the choice and it was amazing. Home fries were well cooked and crispy. Service, which is hard to rate nowadays, was on point and friendly.
If you leave without a cinnamon bun that's on you....

Not only were they kind from the first step in the door but the food was excellent! They serve breakfast all day and they didn’t have any problems making our custom orders. We’ll be back next time we are in town!

Laid back restaurant, with great service staff. Great waitress, she recommended the veggie mess, which was actually very good. Cozy private booths. I highly recommend this place. It's an excellent little spot to socialize or catch up with a friend.

Quaint and cozy country themed restaurant with lots of character. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and on top of things without being too much or too little. I was greeted promptly and never felt forgotten even though it was just me at the table.

I ordered the chef salad with grilled chicken and was impressed with the amount of bacon you get as well as how juicy the grilled chicken was. Highly recommend if you're in the area. The menu has a lot of comfort food favorites as well as lighter options for those minding their diets. There is also a special seniors only menu.

It was a bit pricier than I was expecting, even with "inflation" however it tasted good so I can overlook that for this occasion. (Chef salad with chicken was $16 or $17)

Edit. We tried once more and it was great. I think the last times we were there the staff was probably tired, or just having a bad day. The portions on our plates were great this time. Our waitress was Kathy tonight. She was super friendly and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed.

We use to love coming here. But sadly our last few trips to the restaurant have been not so nice. The waitress was pretty much rude. We order drinks and then never receive them. No one greeted us to feel welcome like in the past. Portions are much smaller. Which would be okay if service was better. All in all it's just not the same anymore.

I’m gone be honest I haven't lived in Tacoma since 2019. But this place was she beat American that I’ve ever eaten between 2017-2019. That roast beef and mash potatoes taste better that your Nana and Papa's. So please support your local restaurant. Just FYI I’m not a Tacoma local. I’m from Bama if that says anything.

First time there. Delicious food with large portions, if that's your thing ;) had the squatch. Fry bread and gravy were so good

Wow what a great fine! This restaurant boasts chicken fried steak done 11 different ways, so we'll be back at least 10 more times! The cinnamon roll breakfast sandwich is a must try if you like a sweet and savory breakfast.

So we discovered this place by accident due to me taking a wrong turn (again). The girlfriend saw the big red barn and wanted to check it out so we did just that on Wednesday.

We walked in and the girlfriend was immediately delighted with how good it smelled in there. I was quite pleased with how comfy and cozy it felt.

Tamara was our waitress and she was fantastic and although she was super busy running to all of her other tables, she was making sure we were set (refills, extra napkins, etc).

The prices were super reasonable, the environment was great, the customer service was spot on, the owner (who we later met) was super friendly and the food was fantastic!

The food was absolutely amazing, everything was delicious and the portions were huge. Service was friendly and fairly quick despite them being so busy. I would definitely come here again. We ended up spending around $20 per personand only drank water. Photos are of the Eggs Benedict and the Country Mish Mash.

Can't speak on service or atmosphere because we ordered delivery,but it was really good.
I'm fairly picky and usually disappointed with most breakfast places but the only thing I would change is I would ask for crispy home fries.
I had the croissant sausage sandwich and even being delivered it still stood up,the sauce was great,nice flavor,eggs were cooked as ordered (medium) and the ratio of egg,meat,bread was near perfect .
My son said the cinnamon roll French toast was awesome as well. Definitely recommend and will be a repeat customer.

Super cute country restaurant!! Our waitress Kathy was fantastic and the food was delicious!! We will definitely be coming back again soon!!

Oh. My. Gawd! Chandler. Bing! Is this place to die for?! We decided to eat out after church.
I don’t even know how to describe the style of food. Innovative country diner style? So good! It’s greasy spoon meets country cooking meets bakery? Either way it’s a guilty pleasure place. I feel satisfied and honestly a little too full. The prices were decent. The portions were enormous! And everything was good. My oldest kid got a French dip and fries, my husband got the Squatch, my daughter got the kid’s chicken strips and I got the Wagon Wheel! We all shared bites and I honestly loved my husband’s more than mine. Man, that chicken fried steak and gravy! Aaaahhhmaazzing! What really put this place over the top was our server- I think from the South East. She was insanely fast, attentive and genuinely nice. I wish all servers were this good, but we probably just got lucky. The music was nice- Johnny Cash and fun old rock n’ roll. Keep up the amazing work everyone!

Too hungry and forgot to take photos of the food before we ate, and I’m so sorry because it was all very very delish! Plenty of parking in the back, lots of seating inside with a fancy farmhouse vibe. Will go back soon and will always leave with a cinnamon roll.
