Pirates Cove is a great place to bring your dogs! They can run and swim and have fun on the dog friendly beach. It isn't super huge but it's big enough for them to have fun. The staff's dogs run off leash everywhere so be prepared for that and make sure you don't bring any unfriendly dogs. They serve food and drinks but didn't have any iced tea which was disappointing and they only serve pizza on weekends. The cheeseburger and fries were good and hot though and they have fountain drinks. Basically it's a place for your dogs to have beach time since it's really difficult to find any beaches that will allow dogs.

We wanted to check out this restaurant because it is dog-friendly. The food was amazing and NOT overpriced especially being right on the water! Our black lab mix love this place also. All the dogs played well. This is one of our favorite places to eat and chill with our pup!

Hidden gem and local landmark. Friends took us by boat and it was an amazing experience. Best Bushwacker I’ve had. Didn’t eat but the food looked delicious. Lots of sand and shoes are optional. Extremely dog friendly!

Great cheeseburgers and onion rings… our dogs have a great time! Very busy today with boat traffic.

We went this past Sunday for Mardi Gras & had a great time. Enjoyed a few Bushwackers & burgers & there was a great live band!

This place is always a great place to stop off on a hot day for a regional delight....a bushwacker. Don't forget to get a floater of 151 on top. Trust me on this. Of course, there are drinks for the kids as well. The cheeseburger and onion rings are a big greasy mess of deliciousness, and well worth it. There are a lot of kids and dogs in the water, so be careful pulling in your boat (there is ample boat parking, though). Also, if you come on the right day, you just might have live music. For non-boat owners, you can get here by land if you travel through Josephine. On any given day there is an amalgam of types of people, and people watching is a sport here.

Enjoyed a relaxing atmosphere with a yummy Bushwacker. On another day, took my golden doodle. She loved splashing in the water and playing with other dogs
Both times brought a smile to my face!

Really cool, laid back place! Very chill atmosphere! We had a pizza... Amazing! People wrote on the walls and ceilings, dogs are welcome. Pretty much anything goes here! Had a great time and we're definitely going back!

This is a good place for grown folks to have a good time! Its relaxing! If you are wanting the beach and waves this is not the place. It's set up more like a lake. We loved it though!

Wow! So many great things to say about Pirate's Cove! The dog-friendly beach...YES!!! Our pup had a BLAST playing with the other dogs and romping in the water! Lunch was great, too. Cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings...yum! I hate to recommend it because we want to keep this jewel to ourselves, but the more dogs the better! Bring your sunscreen, appetite, and best boys and girls (of the canine variety) and have a great day at the Cove!

Excellent burgers and onion rings. Super friendly staff. Our kids jump off and boat and run off to play like they're at a neighborhood playground at the protected swim area. Love the bushwackers. Souvenirs and fundraisers for autism. Spend as little or as much as you like.

Really fun place to visit by boat, the drinks were excellent and the service was very good. Though we didn't have any food, it smelled really good. There is a beach to be able to get in the water and they are definitely pet friendly. I definitely recommend checking this place where you can relax by the water all day.

Pirate's Cove is a local favorite dive bar/restaurant that has been around for a very long time. Honestly, no trip to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach is complete without an afternoon or evening spent at Pirate's Cove. The burgers are terriffic, as are most things on the menu - and they make a fantastic Bushwhacker too. Very dog friendly. There are two ways to get there, but the very BEST way to get there is to hire yourself a boat tour captain or rent your own pontoon boat and go there by water (call Bear Point Marina in Orange Beach for fastest access). The drive requires going north to hit Hwy 98 east to Old County Rd 95 south (all the way til it ends). Takes 45 minutes or so, but well worth it in this local's opinion!

Delightful and a little on the trashy side! They really do have the best Bushwacker I’ve ever had in my life. A very laid-back, fun atmosphere. You can even bring your dog!

What’s not to love about this place! Awesome cheeseburgers in an unbeatable atmosphere! Pull the boat right up on the sand, or drive down there by car. Set up a chair on the beach and go swimming, or hang out on the outdoor decks with a bushwacker or cold beer. My favorite thing about going here is all of the dogs that roam around and play with everyone! The black lab knew just how to win me over for a bite of my burger! Wether your local or visiting this is a must visit spot for good food and a fun time. If fancy is your thing, then don’t bother! This is one of the best dives around!

Laid back beach cove. Good drinks. They have food. Live music. Separate bar area away from the main bar and restaurant. Great staff as well.

If you want upscale dining with quick food and quick service, don't go here. If you want to hang out on a lazy afternoon, forget about the clock, watch dogs laze around in the sun, and enjoy brick-oven pizza and mouth-watering burgers along with the best bushwhackers around, then this is your place!! Throw in some great live music and a beautiful view of the water and you have Pirates Cove!

I've always come here for a good time with the friends. This is the best little beach bar around and you can just pull the boat on up!!! Dog and music friendly to a degree (of course)
Also have awesome food and friendly service
Also as a local pro tip- don't even try to bring a fake in here they will call you out so fast and make sure everyone knows that you had a fake.

While on vacation, we visited Pirates Cove since it's dog-friendly. And very dog-friendly, since you can take your pup off leash and they can play with other dogs and visit all the hoomans also there and play in the water. Great food as well as great atmosphere. Our dog Pelham was exhausted by the end of our visit but rated it four paws up!
