I went there on Oct 29 at 7:30pm. John was great! He was very polite and took serious initiative to order my size because he knew my size is special order. My brother was on the phone speaker and asked John specific details and he knew the answers. I showed him a picture of the suit and found me a pair to match a dark grey and navy.
He also made sure I would get them by Thursday.
John is great! I am definitely going back in the spring when he is there.

When I arrived I was warmly greeted by Henry the store manager. Although most shoes were out of my price range, Henry took my measurements and brought out several pairs for me to try with no expectation of buying. He then worked with me to find two pairs on sale that fit my budget, and he even polished my old leather shoes for free. I left with two very high quality pairs of shoes and the satisfaction of genuine customer service. Highly recommend!

Henry was incredibly helpful with a shoe return, sizing, and as a style guide. Highly recommend this store for help whether you bought shoes online, need to get fitted, or just want to see the shoes in person. He also helped me with how to care for the shoes and said I could bring in the shoes any time for help with polish and shine. Highest level of professionalism in the store and I will definitely be returning for any of my AE needs in the future.

I had a wonderful experience at this Allen Edmonds location just the other day. For starters, the store is designed very well. The layout is simple and easy to navigate, while the displays themselves are spacious yet not overwhelming. Henry was incredibly attentive and followed COVID guidelines to a tee, which I appreciated greatly. If I ever need anything from AE again I’ll be going through this store without a doubt!

Like others I had an excellent experience with Henry at this store. I went to exchange a shoe size and Henry took the time to size me up and determine that the length was fine but I actually needed a B width. Boots came in the mail this week end they’re a perfect fit.

The staff member who helped me was very knowledgeable, helped me figure out the finer points of my shoe size, was very patient and brought out several sample pairs in different sizes for me to try on. I would definitely recommend this store. Allen Edmonds customer service and products are top notch.

I highly recommend you purchasing your Allen Edmonds from this store. The manager Henry and his sales associate Austin provide excellent customer service. You will not find their level of attention at any other Allen Edmonds store. I had fit problems with previous Allen Edmond shoes I had purchased. Stopped in this location to browse and we were greeted by Henry who was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining the different shoe styles. He took measurements and brought out a few pairs to see which would fit best. Highly recommend, Great selection of shoes and clothing in the store.

Henry, the store manager, offered wonderful advice to me for an upcoming wedding. He was incredibly accommodating and flexible with his time. I bought a great new pair of leather sneakers for a beach wedding and couldn’t be happier.

The Allen Edmonds CITYCENTERDC store in Washington, DC has a wonderful and helpful staff. I was recently in the market for a pair of men dress boots and was having trouble finding the right fit. Luckily, I stopped by the Allen Edmonds store in DC where I was greeted and fitted by Store Manager, Henry Clavijo. Henry went above and beyond to help find the right size and style for what I was looking for. I had visited other men shoe stores in the previous months and none came close to the level of attention and support that I received from Henry. I bought the shoes that Henry recommended. I highly recommend this store and this brand!

Went into store to verify my size to be able to order the shoes I wanted online (factory seconds to be fair). Employee was quite helpful and placed the order for me to ship to my house. A week later I attempted to ascertain the status of my order and to hopefully get a tracking number as I was told 4-5 business days. I called the corporate help line and was told they had no record of my order and was informed this happens when its shipped from store and it was suggested I contact the store for further info. I called the store and rep asked to call me back, 2.5 hours later he calls me back saying they didn't actually have the shoes, telling me that he had called other stores during my purchase. He never did such as it was placed online. The next day I contact corporate again and asked what my options were, new lady says she found the order but they couldn't fulfill it. I of course ask for my order to be cancelled and to be refunded. Rep says no problem and gifts me a 20% code which is less than what I purchased under and was useless at this point. A short while later I received an email from the store asking me to contact them to cancel. Seriously?

Overall for a higher end brand I found my experience to be quite bad and would advise caution when dealing with them for ordering items not in store. I should not have had to go through so many hoops to determine my order was never going to be fulfilled despite charging me and to cancel.

Went into the store today to process my refund. Henry apologized for the error and offered to make things right. I left the store very happy with the service I was provided, Henry turned my negative experience into a positive one.

We had a great experience here. I went with my husband, who needed at least 2 pairs of shoes for very different purposes. The girl who helped us actually was not based at this location, and was only in town for the weekend. However, she was really great to work with and incredibly knowledgeable. My husband had been fit incorrectly previously, and the shoes he got this day were perfect and he's had no complaints. They also have lasting power - they now make some of their nicer shoes but with the rubber sole for daily walking, which really fit his needs - and it's still a sharp looking shoe. It's a small store, and there can be a wait - but the employees are all attentive and they know their products.

I’m now an Allen Edmonds convert. I realized I’ve been wearing the wrong size shoes for years. I went into the City Center store and got fitted by Henry. He and all of the staff are pretty knowledgeable, patient, and not pushy. Going into this store to make my purchases is always an experience.

I was looking for a hard to find model(Arezzo). They had a couple in stock and one pair in my size and held it for me for the few days until I could get back into the store to pick up...just in time for an out of town trip. Thank you!

I started shopping for an AE shoe for a black tie event. I went to pentagon city first but they did not have a factory fresh shoe (fifth avenue) and Steve contact Henry at City center. Henry was able to articulate very clear a solution to have the Carlyle have a better fit as they were too snug in the ball of the foot area. Although, I may be exchanging my fifth ave at another store because it wasn’t available in city center. Henry was able to help during the buying process and accommodate my needs.
Definitely, will recommend Henry to my buddies.

Henry is the man. He'll fit you into the right size shoes impressively well because he knows the construction differences across all the shoes. He knows his stuff, he's up to date with the industry, and I'm glad I learned what I did about dress shoes. He'll save you money and make you feel like a million bucks. I can't be any happier with the shoes I got. They're perfect and look better than any shoe I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and experience this new world of a great fitting Allen Edmond. You will want to buy from this store instead of online. You get the same prices as the website during sales and whatnot, you can get advice and fitting recommendations on top of it, and you support the knowledgeable reps that know their stuff by doing so. We need people like this, trust me lol.

I stopped in during their twice annual sale. I love their shoes and typically just buy online, but I happened to walk by this location and decided to stop in. I'm so glad that I did!

I appreciate how helpful they were in person and haven't had customer service like this in a long time from a retail store location. I'm still building up my shoe collection, so I valued their advice on what style and color to get next.

I'm going to a wedding soon and wanted to replace some old black shoes. I almost went for wayyy too casual of a pair (the 5th avenue) which I hoped to also wear at the office. Per their advice, I didn't to instead get the more classic and formal Carlyle. While I won't wear them nearly as often, this way I will have one incredible pair of formal shoes to go with the occasional formal event (wedding, big job interviews, etc.).

I highly recommend picking up their shoe cleaning kit. I didn't start taking care of my shoes until recently, and it has been night and day in terms of how nice the shoes look if you put in at least the bare minimum of effort (shoe trees, shoe polish and leather lotion at least once a quarter, etc.). Their polish and cleaning products are all surprisingly affordable and it is great to have the colors matched exactly.

I stopped in just to look, but was so well accommodated by Henry that I ended up buying a ton of stuff. Best salesman I have ever met. I would come back to DC just to buy more shoes, even though there’s a branch in my hometown.

Rachelle was amazingly helpful. Her customer service was perfect in store, and she continued to help afterward, answering questions and addressing concerns via email. I would not hesitate to return for another pair in the future.
