BBQ Bears Restaurant & Catering

So good! Had brisket (only available on Fridays), pulled pork, mac & cheese, onion rings, fried okra and sausage, and it all tasted. Great! The fried okra and the onion rings were freshly fried and not greasy. The breading was nice and crispy. The meat was seasoned real nice, and was not overly seasoned or salty and you could add barbecue sauce, which they make and is also amazing! The brisket had a nice great burnt outside.

We moved to Winder 6 months ago and we have been looking for a good BBQ place we have tried several in the area. By far Barbeque Bears is the best we have found. Their prices are good, their meats are very tasty and they have variety of sides that are very delicious as well. I met the owner, Amanda she was very nice and helpful. Try them and you will not be disappointed.

Christmas Eve!! Maybe their last customer, STILL being sweet and kind!! The ribs were fabulous, but the stars of the show (to me) were the Brunswick stew and those incredible green beans. The Brunswick stew was beautifully flavored and had the different textures you want in a good Brunswick. The green beans took me back to Mom’s; cooked enough to be soft but not a bowl full of mush. Overall, some of the best BBQ I’ve had.

Amazing brisket!!! By far one of the best places in town. They have a good selection of homemade sides. Specifically the mac n cheese and coleslaw. I couldn’t leave without their homemade banana pudding!!! The staff is amazing. They’ll take good care of you.

I think this might be the best Brunswick stew that I’ve ever had! It tastes just like Carolina Hash n rice, minus the rice. So good. We were very happy with everything that we ordered. The cat fish and smoked sausage were delicious as well.

Excellent Excellent Excellent! I had the pork ribs with Mac n cheese and green beans as my sides and it was insanely delicious! My only regret is that I had to eat on the go and I wasn’t able to savor it enough since I’m technically at work right now!

Very good all the way around. Service with a smile, ribs were perfectly cooked, sides were just as good. We'll be back!

I just door dashed bc I have a summer flu. First time trying the food. AMAZING. I've been home for 5 yrs looking for good bbq, pretty much let down every time. Not today. The food is perfect. Yall enjoy!

Another rave. For those of you who have not tried Barbecue Bears, you should. It has become one of my favorites. The place is always clean, the employees are always friendly and helpful and the food as always is fresh and good.
I had the pleasure of meeting Andre today, an employee. He was very patient and helpful. Andre, the young man with the welcoming, contagious smile enjoys his job as well as conversing with the customers.
I ordered the wing plate, which is one of my favorites. They always offer delicious sides and generous portions. My friend had never been before. She ordered the pulled pork sandwich. She agreed with me, the food is good, reasonably priced and a very friendly atmosphere. She also made mention that the bathrooms are very clean, which is hard to find in Winder.
After our meal Andre came over to our table and thanked us again for coming in and asked how everything was. I told him everything was very good, as usual and explained my friend had never been there. She told him she was was impressed and said we would be returning.

This is hands-down, the best barbecue in Winder. All of their sides are delicious. If you haven’t tried this place you are really missing out.

The stew was great because it tasted just like mine! But is it only a side? I wanted a large bowl of stew when I ordered from Uber - got a tiny little side dish. :( Great food though!

Great customer service I got the Brisket which is only available on Friday . It was moist with a nice smoke ring and bark. I’ll be back

Ordered the pulled pork plate and wasn’t disappointed. Enough finely chopped pork for 2-3 sandwiches and it was meat, not a bunch of fat. The fried okra and baked beans were good but what surprised me was the Brunswick stew, it was delicious. We’ll definitely be trying them out again. Only advice I would give is when a new customer comes in and isn’t sure about what sauces to use because they’ve never tasted them, give them a sample. And also One cup of bbq sauce isn’t enough to cover all the meat you’re putting into the plate. Overall though good job BBQ Bears…

New place in town, reminiscent of an old man who had a BBQ place that had to be sold due to retirement. I've missed that place, and finally, something is actually a little better than the old man's. First, I only had the pork plate with sides, but here we go. The pork was very finely chopped, and the portion was healthy with a very nice texture but i would have liked it warmer than room temperature. I was asked about my sauce preference and chose sweet and a second version of spicy. They offered another option that escapes me. I would like to see smaller bottles of all sauces served with the plate vs. 1 big bottle of sweet and a condiment cup of spicy. The Hushpuppy side was better than my Grandma's, and Potato Salad was very creamy, mayo based, not mustard, and the baked beans had the right tint of onion and green pepper. The management touched base during the meal, and the place was emaculate. Soda water on the fountain drink dispenser was a rare and noticed touch for customers that like fizzy but not sugary drinks. Plenty of tables and bright surroundings. Will certainly go back and try some different sides just to see and I'm thankful for another local business that we certainly can support with food as good as this. Keep up the great work.

Great Local BBQ. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've only been twice and I've tried as much as I can on their menu. They have great ribs. I look forward to going back. I have been impressed.

Stopped by last night to give it a shot. I’m pretty impressed. We got 1 lb of pork, fried okra, green beans and greens. Everything was great. Customer service was fantastic and prices were right. They have the finely ground Brunswick stew which was a treat. We will be going back for certain.

Great looking shop and the food taste really great. I ordered a little bit of everything and have wonderful flavors. I really enjoyed the chicken and ribs. I will definitely come back again!!!😊🤤

What a delicious surprise!! Pulled pork plate with 2 sides. Pork had a very good flavor. Our Brunswick stew was very flavorful and not real mushy, thank ya'll. The onion rings are "handmade" and fabulous!!! Not to mention the fried okra that was amazing! Thank you 3 Bears for your friendly service, too!
