Betsy is awesome! She made every effort to help us have a good experience. The empenada's are awesome! Shrimp and beef were both great. The egg sandwich was great! Everything we had was terrific! Cant wait to go back!

Was a quick take and go for work. Everyone loved what they had and quite honestly, i think i took about 3 or 4 of everything in the case! A regular customer shared how he loves everything he's tried. Super friendly - Betsy is very kind and thankful to share her love of baking with the community. A small, local business with reasonable pricing, great ownership and wonderfully baked goods - not a bad combo!

Visited again this morning and wasn't disappointed! Enjoyed a couple of the empanadas...muy bueno! Local and great!

The individuals who run this Cafe are so sweet and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, definitely recommend this place for anyone curious in trying a new place.

These will always be my favorite finds ❤ Walking around Winder with friends who suggested we check this spot out for dessert. As soon as I walk in I see pictures on the wall of tequeños and empanadas.... These are Venezuelan dishes. I look over at the gentleman behind the counter and ask "where are you guys from? 😳 " Micky replies "The owner is Venezuelan, from Caracas... She just opened 3 weeks ago" ... SAY NO MORE!! give me an order of everything 😅 Unfortunately they were out of Tres Leches cakes as it is a hot seller but I did get myself a few goodies. They are working on expanding their menu so you'll soon see items you may recognize as well. If you're in the Winder area looking for some sweet treats, stop by to say hi to the owner Betsy and get you some awesome cakes, pastry treats or food... Or all of the above. Never in a million years did I think there would be a Venezuelan spot all the way out there!! 😅 Great little spot ❤

From Miami to Winder, GA through her hot warm beverages. You taste the love of her baked goods, sandwiches, and warmth when she greets her guest! I absolutely love this place! Empanadas are delicious, my favorite is chicken! Go visit!

Hands down the best kept secret in Winder… actually for miles around. The cheese sticks are best consumed by the dozen!!!

Such a wonderful owner. So nice and hard working! The macrons are perfect! The buttercream on the cupcakes is so buttery and not too sweet! The cupcakes are so light and delicate.

An excellent customer service, personalized. Betsy (the owner) is very knowledgeable in the field, lovely and kind. All products are of excellent quality, fresh and delicious. A cozy and very pleasant place. Definitely recommended.

I went to Mel’s bakery this morning for a coffee and something to eat. I got a iced caramel macchiato and a beef empanada. Absolutely delicious. Both of them. It was very tempting to get a danish or baklava too. Next time. I will definitely go again.

The shop itself is nicely decorated and clean. No better place to have Saturday breakfast.

OMG!! These pastries are to die for. I love this bakery it has such a great environment and Betsy the owner is super nice and friendly. You have to try the sweet roll bread and the pan campesino. LIFE CHANGING!

The service is of course to say top notch. I’ve had the pleasure of being served by the owner and two other gentlemen. As soon as you walk in the smell is warm and inviting, both sweet and savory. The atmosphere is warm. I mention this first to say that once you’ve tasted any delicious baked goods, the food is even better. I’m so glad we have such quality here

We enjoyed the trip to Mela’s. They have a good selection of typical bakery items, but the real treat is the Venezuelan items on the menu! They also have plenty of options for lunch foods as well, so you won’t leave hungry. Don’t miss the tamales for takeout either. We will be back.
