The Wheelhouse Bar & Grill

I’m just checking out football right now. Looking at current game between the Alabama and Texas. I’m sitting back enjoying the beer. The tall beer and Jason back watching the game. I had a good meal with jambalaya. That was awesome and I’m just checking out the atmosphere here. I have a pretty good crowd for the Iowa versus Iowa State football game after the game is over. The crowd died out but that’s to be expected.

Visited from out of town for the first time the day after Christmas. Food was excellent with a great appetizer! Our waitress never checked on us after taking our food order. When the kid from the kitchen brought our order one plate was completely wrong but with no service we just ate it. Later while finishing we up got the correct food delivered to our table. At this time we noticed our waitress drinking at the end of the bar. Shift change perhaps? We left a good tip as the guy tending bar was great, he made things right! Service rating would be 0 if not for him!

We got there and were seated immediatly. Ordered drinks, waitress was friendly. They had a small game area so I reccomend bringing around 5 dollars for them. The food was pretty good and it was made pretty quick.

Went to Wheelhouse to see an NFL playoff game on their big screen televisions. My son absolutely loved his bacon cheeseburger and said fries were good but nothing unique. I had a great club sandwich with a bowl of chili (a slight upgrade over standard fries) and thoroughly enjoyed my alternate combo. Service was fantastic despite being very busy that night. Wheelhouse is located in a popular strip mall so found a parking space and did some walking to the bar.

Great service, great food, we had wings and onion rings as appetizers, my wife had Swiss burger and I had quesadilla burger and it was all delicious. The wing did need a bit more sauce but they were delicious. We came on a Friday night so it was a bit busy, we waited about 4min.

Mmmmmmmm. Good stuff. Look at that cheese pull! We were not disappointed! Great food. Friendly and fast service. What more could we want?

There was a party next to us that was very loud and rude tonight. Screaming and laughing very loudly. Other than that, it was amazing. Our server was attentive and polite. The food was amazing as always.

This is a great sports bar that was great with a large group. Food was good! Definitely will be back when in town bc I have other dishes I'd like to try.

My husband and I went tonight to check it out. It was busy but we were seated pretty fast. Our server, Kendra was amazing. She was busting her butt but with a smile. She was attentive and so sweet. I had a small pizza and it was great. My husband and I absolutely loved the funnel fries! Will definitely be back.

Great food and service, the staff was friendly and the prices are not bad ethier.

This place has excellent food. We came here our first night in Sioux City and we loved it. The bartender was very polite and she recommended some of the best wings. The wheel house is located in a strip mall with a plethora of stores and restaurants in the area. If your in the area you have to check out this place.

Had lunch there today with a couple friends. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich with a side salad instead of fries. The salad was good but I gotta say the Reuben was one of the best I’ve ever had! Our waitress was excellent! Great personality and very attentive. Two thumbs up!!!

This is definitely our go to whenever I am in town. No matter how large a party, everyone can find items to their liking and everyone is content. Both food and cocktails are excellent. This trip our waiter Scott made the meal fabulous. He was attentive, polite and helpful even though we were straggling in, could not make up our minds and had the attention spans of gnats, he made our time delightful. He helped us make decisions and brought all out in a timely manner. He was attentive without being annoying all with perfect timing.

Hotel recommended this as a locally owned place...I don't care to travel hundreds of miles to go to the same restaurants I can go to at home

Greeting and seating was quick and friendly. Service was excellent. Food was extremely fast and excellent all around.

My daughter wasn't partial to the BBQ sauce and the waitress was all over it having her try another.

I'm surprised that the food was as good as it was with such a large menu...seems like a nightmare to manage and get the quality right on. Props to those responsible.

Wanted something new to us and we settled on this. We very much enjoyed the food, even with a minor problem of the Cuban sandwich was cold in the center. The order was quickly remade and a discount given to make up for the extra wait. We will definitely stop here again.

Very friendly staff and very upbeat during the Iowa Hawkeye Come Back WIN!!! It was very busy but they never missed a beat!

I read a few reviews on this place. Decided to try it.. Street tacos a must and the Ruben was great!! And the drinks awesome… definitely coming back!
