Casa De Empanadas

Tried this new place in Kutztown and we will be back! The yellow rice on its own is delicious, and we loved the empanadas we tried: spinach, chicken parm and (our favorite) the Cubano. Very friendly staff and food cooked to order.

Decided to try this new place out and I have to say, I’m thoroughly impressed!!!! My boyfriend and I got pork & yellow rice, fried pork & yellow rice, and 2 chicken bacon ranch empanadas. I give everything a 10/10 for flavor, portion, and price. Will definitely be returning soon and will be a very frequent customer, great work!!!!!

The atmosphere is so welcoming and the service is spectacular! The empanadas are delicious and budget-friendly, I would totally recommend checking this place out.

We ordered a variety of empanadas to try out. They were a nice large size and everything was really tasty. My personal favorite was the beef. The seafood was also good - I feel like I want to dip it in something but haven’t figured out what would be ideal yet. We had some left over and they also reheated very well. Recommend this place to anyone wanting to try empanadas or needing their empanada fix!

So good! The owner was friendly and made us feel at home! We tried 5 different empanadas with the spinach being our favorite but all were so yummy. This is a must go to in Kutztown!

One of my new favorite spots in Kutztown! The food is delicious, especially the empanadas, and it's got a nice, casual atmosphere. The staff are friendly too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I highly recommend it!

My office ordered an assortment of empanadas a few days ago to do a tasting, and they were enjoyed by all. I especially loved the breakfast empanada with egg, cheese and sausage. It reminded me of an elevated, much tastier version of the toaster pastries I used to eat when I was a kid. Nostalgia always wins! The meatball parm empanada was also very tasty, and so was the chicken and yellow rice platter.

But looking at the menu, I noticed the dessert empanadas, which work did not order. Dessert is always my downfall! I decided to treat myself at the end of the week and ordered one of each. The caramel apple was as delicious as I expected, but it was also surprisingly light and I scarfed it down very quickly. The chocolate chip brownie was understandably heavier--it's basically a brownie in a fried casing--but not as heavy as I anticipated. It wasn't quite as sweet as I expected it to be, but that actually works well because otherwise it might have been a bit too much. Overall I was very pleased, and will definitely be back for an actual meal.

Very good food and very nice owners! I also really appreciate the fact that they have vegetarian options, I usually can never eat empanadas but they have a spinach and cheese empanada and delicious desert empanadas!

Tried this place for the first time and loved the food! The platters are great and the empanadas surpassed my expectations, I regret not coming sooner.

I got a pizza and cheesesteak empanada with the yellow rice and it was delicious!!! I was super excited to try this place since it’s the closest restaurant to my house now!! We will definitely be going back and trying the dessert empanadas.
