My brisket sandwich was quite good, but my vanilla flan chocolate icing tart was extraordinary! I love most desserts, but this blew me away. From the buttery casing to the way the vanilla and chocolate complimented each other - I can't rave enough!

The owners are also extremely friendly. I bought a mushroom gallete to take to my mother later, and they explained how to reheat it so it would be like new.

Wonderful food, wonderful people, and fresh local ingredients. You can't go wrong!

They have handmade pastries both savory and sweet! I had a pork pie that was absolutely delicious!!! You can either bring it home or get it warmed up for you to eat.

They have a variety of locally made food and products including coffee from Four Monkeys which is a roastery not far away.

I was trying to put together a Mother's Day Brunch for my mom who is gluten-free (GF) and I wanted either a GF quiche or a crustless quiche. I must have called 20 different places and found that very few even made any type of quiche let alone a GF one until I was referred to Colleen. While my request for GF was not on her usual menu, she was willing to make a GF one. Let me tell you it was delicious! Even those of us who are not GF loved it. And the rapturous look on my mom's face while eating it was awesome to see. My mom told me due to GF, she hasn't been able to eat quiche in a very long time. Thank you so very much Colleen for bringing my mom joy on her special day.

I've had the good fortune to grace my palate with the culinary masterpieces of Heart and Hearth on several happy occasions. From expertly smoked meats to vegetarian and vegan treats. This mom and pop shop has got their shiz dialed in!!!!!

I’m visiting my hometown for the week and happened upon the beautiful photos on the Heart and Hearth Instagram. What a treasure trove of delicious lunchtime delights. I ordered several sandwiches to share with family. Every ingredient is thoughtful and simple - altogether richer and lovelier than the sum of its parts. I always find gems in kutztown, but Colleen delivers the food every town needs.

My order - herbed egg salad sandwich, split pea soup, pork bbq, brisket sandwich.

Everything is locally sourced which is amazing! The owners are kind and welcoming and when I tell you the biscuit with butter and jam blew me away, I'm not kidding. Seems so simply but it was fresh and so flavorful.

Gourmet artisan foods with quality local ingredients. Amazing smoked savory or baked sweet delightful finely crafted treats.

This place has the best pastries I've ever had. The hand pies are a great melding of their smoked meats and the pastries. The different salads are not something I'm used to but they were delicious nonetheless.

I was so excited to try this place after seeing posts on social media, and it exceeded my expectations! The owners were warm and friendly and the mushroom galette was fantastic. Looking forward to coming back for more!

Great, homely food. Great service. Charming environment. My friends loved it. Will come again!

Typically to get food of this quality you'd need to pay upwards of $100 a plate, not $9

The BBQ sandwiches here are fantastic, and their hours are great for late-day food and coffee.

I haven’t had a single thing that wasn’t excellent. Lots of different soups and the lentil salad is outstanding

Love this deli! The food is amazing. I’m a particular fan of the barbecue sandwiches but the mushroom galette was worth the wait- it was sold out for weeks before I got my hands on one. The folks that work here are so kind and I love the store itself with the open door and radio jazz and classical music. I’ve always found easy street parking at lunch time.
