My Son Anton has been doing karate here since he was 4 and loves this places and can’t imagine going anywhere else. Been on the tournament team for the last 6.5 years. Great Sensei’s and really easy to communicate with. I would Highly recommend one of three dojos in the LC Valley.

I strongly suggest Warabay Karate. My Kids have been in the program for almost 13 years. Sensi has worked with both of my kids, son and daughter, to help them become the amazing, responsible and respectful kids they are now. They have learned leadership, competition and humbleness through Warabay Karate.

The skills my son has learned through Warabay will help in his future. After teaching with Sensi Brian my son has decided that he will be a Math teacher. He learned how much he enjoys kids and showing them fun ways to learn. He has learned to adapt to each child’s needs and to speak with parents. This program has helped shape my son into a caring functional adult.

With my teen daughter, Warabay has given her the confidence to be who SHE is. Not to follow the crowd. She is responsible with work and respectful to people in her work.

The Warabay family became the “Village” that helped raise my kids. I am so thankful for them!

I absolutely enjoy bringing my child to this dojo. The energy is so positive and I have just as good of a time as the students, laughing at almost every lesson watching the controlled chaos of all the littles having fun. My child has been participating at ages 4 and now 5 and is already stoked to be a black belt one day

We have had multiple children attend Warabay Karate over the last 15+ years. We have found the staff to be respectful, kind and knowledgeable. The instructors are excellent at giving their students the tools they need to succeed both individually and as a team. The staff has always been available to meet and discuss any challenges my children have faced and work with us to overcome any issues. It has been a joy to watch my children gain self confidence through their training at Warabay.

Both my kids started training a little over 2 years ago. I've enjoyed watching them grow in both their training and their self confidence. The instructors train with strength and patience. I've enjoyed watching my kids so much that I just joined the adult beginners class. Everyone at the dojo is so kind and encouraging that I can't think of anywhere else we'd rather learn karate from.

We enrolled our son at Warabay in 2013 after the recommendation of several friends. Five years later, we are so glad we did! Sensei Morrow’s education and experience as a teacher make his training style second to none. He fully understands the capabilities of children at every age and sets reasonable expectations for them based on their development. He has designed a program that allows for as little or as much training as you like, easily allowing for other activities and sports to fit in your schedule, if you so desire. Whether you’re interested in self defense or competitive karate, Warabay is the perfect place to train. We have enjoyed the family atmosphere at Warabay and cherish the friendships we have built with other families there. Warabay Karate has exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it for anyone interested in martial arts training.

My son has recently joined the warabay tournament team. In 5 weeks, their program helped my son reach his goal of 1st place at local tournament. I knew the training would help, but Wow, 5 weeks. I am beyond impressed. Thank you so much!!! Sensei Brian had a personal meeting with my son and I to answer all questions and explained program expectations from my son as a student and me as a parent. They had a variety of packages to choose from , clearly listed services included. Thank you again for helping my son to reach his karate goals.

Brian and Noriko run a top notch karate school. My son started taking karate this year and he absolutely LOVES it. Brian does such a great job with the students. You can tell he has worked with kids for a long time, he knows how to communicate well with them and encourage growth in the sport as well as growth in the values that karate teaches. We are so happy to have found this school!

This is now our 5th year with this dojo and we are so thankful for the patient instruction our son has received. What I find most helpful are the many levels of participation. You can learn basic self defense all the way to joining competition teams. The instructors are skilled enough to inspire the beginner and yet coach people to the world competition level. My son isn't interested in competition but is enjoying the leadership program they provide where he is gaining lessons that will help him throughout his life. There is a place for anyone to grow and be challenged in this karate school. I highly recommend it.

My son absolutely loves attending his karate class. He not only grows in physical strength and mental endurance, he has committed to reaching his goal, and his confidence has increased as well! He looks forward to his lesson each week. As a parent I love the environment: focused, encouraging and FUN!

My son has been a part of the Warabay family since 2010. One of the best decisions I ever made was enrolling him. He has gained so many valuable life skills that have helped him grow over the years, from respect, self control, discipline and teambuilding to patience, trust and leadership. Sensai Brian has a strong program that encourages growth and positivity in both his students and his community. In addition, my family has experienced a warm welcome from the other families in the program from the very beginning, we have a karate family that we can always count on. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of such a wonderful karate school.

My wife and I had 2 sons go through the Warabay Karate program with Sensei Morrow. Both sons enjoyed the skills, goal setting, friendships they made, and most importantly the martial arts/self-defense lessons they learned. One son earned a Junior Black belt and the other a Brown belt. I personally have trained with Sensei Morrow for 18 years and plan to continue training for years to come. I strongly recommend the Warabay Karate Program to any parents who are considering entering their child in a Karate program. It is in my opinion the best program in the LC Valley.

My son started at this dojo when he turned 4 and we are still here over 4 years later! The confidence and self discipline he has gained speaks volumes of Sensei Morrow and the rest of the staffs knowledge and skill. We have become part of a supportive and encouraging karate family and look forward to continuing our journey with Warabay!

My son absolutely loves his karate class. The class sizes are small enough that they get one on one time with the sensei. The owner and his wife are super sweet people, can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend!

We are fortunate to have several good schools in the valley but for my family Warabay is the best! My son began training in 2009 and has been a Jr. Black Belt since he was 8 yrs. old. Karate has helped him gain confidence, discipline and strength. We train in self-defense weekly and have been on the only demo team in the valley performing at LCSC games and Silverwood. However, his love has been competition.
Thanks to Sensei Brian Morrow and both his children, Jon and Tabatha, who have all three competed at the WUKF World Competitions, my son has competed all over the West Coast, Hawaii and AAU Nationals winning silver in kumite (point sparring) this year in Florida.
I have seen kids with ADHD or behavioral issues flourish in this program, from fidgeting and not knowing boundaries to focusing and learning complicated katas(forms). The Warabay School offers something for everyone age 4 to over 50...self defense, demo team, competition teams, jiu jitsu classes, weapons (kubudo) training, a very active parent led booster club, family activities and the school even hosts a yoga class. This is a family friendly school and I encourage anyone who is interested to educate themselves prior to visiting. Karate is not only self-defense, it is building ones character, mental training and focus, humility, and yes, discipline. Then come in and watch a class or two, meet some of the families...it is a great program!

Sensei Brian and Noriko are amazing. We have been so happy with our experience. They teach wonderful values while keeping the classes fast paced and individualized. My son is 6 so he’s in one of the younger classes. He struggles with self control/impulse control and has an incredibly short attention span. I was worried how he would do but knew he would benefit from karate. He and I both love it.

We have been a part of the dojo for around 2 years. Love the program! We are really impressed that they have Team Storm, a group of youth mentors, who assist Sensei Morrow in training and karate classes. I have heard from other parents this aids in reinforcing the karate they have learned with leadership skills. My daughter strives to be one someday. They say you truely don’t learn until you have to teach. My son has SPD and we have watched his behaviors improve dramatically. When they have a higher belt they learn that with with higher rank they get more responsibility and they become class leaders. We watched our mostly quiet and introverted son become more engaged, more vocal and proud when he got the chance to become class leader. We love the life lessons, discipline; firm but fair, positive reinforcement, kids love hearing when they are doing things correctly, leadership. Just so many positives.

My son started karate at Warabay at 4 years old. He is now 8 and has really excelled. We have Sensei Morrow and his staff to thank for that. Sensei Morrow is excellent with all the kids and really puts a lot of time and effort into helping them succeed! Highly recommend Warabay Karate school!

My son, who is 11, just started. The instructor is highly skilled in communicating positive reinforcement. He points out things like resilience, responsibility, self-confidence. He links these character traits to self-defense, which is primary to Karate. My son was very worried about starting this class because it was so intense. To date, you can't take the smile off of his face. I can't ask for more.

UPDATE 2019: We have been here for almost a year and my son (who is 12 now) is currently a yellow belt. He enjoys the experience every time we come. Sensei Marrow is very motivational and will encourage my son to take healthy risks. Also, Sensei makes a point of showing his students that the dojo is a safe place to fail as well. Otherwise how will they grow? In all, I appreciate Sensei's style of communication with the kiddos and Noriko is always available if you have any questions. Still is five stars in my opinion.

UPDATE 2021: We have been here since 2018 and my son (who is now 14) is currently an orange belt. He continues to enjoy his time here. There were a lot of problems that happened as a result of COVID precautions but everything is mostly back to normal. Sensei Brian, has taken a step back from the dojo in order to pursue a counseling practice. His son, Jonathan, has stepped up and is currently my son's main sensei. I have been pleased with my son's continued progress with Jonathan. Like his father, Jonathan is a highly skilled in the art of Karate and is an internationally recognized athlete in this sport. Jonathan has more of a no-nonsense approach and my son has quickly learned his boundaries with his new sensei. The dojo is still going through a time of transition but it is looking to emerge from this purgatory stronger than ever. Still is five stars in my opinion.

Warabay Karate is a very family oriented place for your kids to learn self discipline, respect and self defense. They teach with kindness and rules!! Kids need strong rules to follow so they may progress into functioning adults. Thank you to Brian, Noriko, John and Alex for working so hard with these kids.
