The proprietor was awesome and incredibly helpful, letting me poke through the music I was buying and was helpful with finding what sorts of records I was looking for. Hugely recommend, even worth a drive to visit, in my opinion!

Maynards music has a Impressive selection, Vinyl records from both new and old Artist and genres they also had a plethora of CD’s and even cassette tapes for your listening pleasure!!! Super cool tie-dye t-shirts and tapestries all very unique! The owner was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable…. Best music experience on the coast!

Great vinyl shop! I have been several times. I love rummaging through their vinyl. I have found some gems while going through their stock. Well, gems to me anyway. Only downside is I don't particularly like the incense buring, it messes with my sinuses, but hey no big deal. I will still return, more gems to find.

I absolutely love this store. The most recent owner has done a fantastic job of giving life to this once near death store. Honesty and integrity goes a long way and I have never been given wrong information or bad explanation as to why something is priced the way it is. I have even had old equipment repaired here which is a difficult service to find these days. May Maynard's music rock on forever.

Great selections, awesome atmosphere, friendly and helpful.

Great little shop. Went in there today and was very pleased with the selection and the owner is very knowledgeable. He let me browse without constantly hovering and nagging me about needing help. When I had questions he was extremely polite and recommended that I try the records on his turntable before I bought. Ended up by buying three records and two of them came from the $1.00 rack. All three played perfectly when I got home. Highly recommend this shop and will be back for all my vinyl purchases!

I've only purchased 3 records from here, but every time I went, it has been great I love the shop it has a nice aesthetic and vibe. I will be coming back for more

Awesome record store. I am too young to know what record stores used to look like when they were more prominent, but Maynard's place is exactly how I imagine them. Great selection of records - I really liked how Maynard put together the store and the different sections, because the store itself is relatively small I suppose; however, there were more than enough records for one to spend hours looking through. And that's exactly what people need to expect when you go hunting for a good find. Record stores are almost like the bookstores of the music industry, and Maynard's Music is the perfect place for anyone to explore a classic record store.

I love this store and there is nothing wrong with a man trying to make a living. I don't get to go often as I'd like.
but i usually find something I'm looking for every time i go. Maynard is always friendly and usually busy. If he's in the back and you need him. Just call him he will be right with you. If your lucky like i was you might just meet a band member and get a cd signed.

Awesomeness! Mom was very friendly while Maynard was on break. My son and I went and we didn't want to leave, but he had band practice and we had too! He has been back a few times since and is going to take some musician friends with him today! Yes, a bit dusty, but that just tells me that these albums and CD's are the real deal! Look it's a small resale, buy and sell, music/record store with Vinyls!! If you love vinyls but cannot find a specific one, GO TO MAYNARD'S! HE JUST MAY HAVE EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR! That is what true American capitalism is all about!! We love the place and are return customers for life!

The owner is hilarious. His sarcasm is appreciated in an all-to-serious world.

Some rare titles, authentic tunes, a good place to browse and easy going. Not one of those places in the mall where a sales guy or clerk is up in my face. The guy is very chill. Also, he knows his music. I think he use to work at a radio station- very helpful if you don't feel like spending 10 minutes searching wikipedia.

As a fellow vinyl record dealer in Mississippi, I love the shop! Quaint and laid back. Maynard and I could talk for hours about records. He always has something I need for my customers, so rather than competition, we are building relationships with fellow record lovers on both sides of the coast. I highly recommend at least wandering through this store one afternoon. It is a great place to dig through everything, if you dig long enough, you will stumble on some great deals!!!! Shhh -dont tell Maynard, he might mark it up..... Just a joke M. Seriously, check them out.
