Route 2 pizza

We live in Cedar Lake and have been on the search for our go to perfect pizza since Bronkos in CP closed. Finally! This is as close to our perfect as we have found. Only request we will make next time is for the crust to be cooked a little longer because we like a crunch to our crust, but other than that it was PERFECT. Yum! 😋🍕

If you like(d) Bronko's pizza, this is the place for you. Pizza is great. Recently changed ownership and it seems like it is actually a bit better. This used to be a Bronko's awhile back. Previous owners kept the Bronko's one-cut down the middle style, but new owners do regular square cuts. The three stars for atmosphere is although there are some tables, this isn't really a restaurant. This is the same building right next to the Town Pub on Commercial & Mill in downtown Lowell. The Town Pub is a smoking bar, but if that atmosphere is your thing, I'm sure you can eat in there and have a few beers!

By far the best pizza in town. Every time we order it’s 20-30 minutes tops, the pizza always tastes the same and the staff are always friendly. I saw a poor review about the smoky atmosphere but, it’s a bit misleading. This pizza place shares an entrance with The Town Pub, which allows smoking. Route 2 Pizza has another door to keep the smoke out and, once in their part of the building, it’s not smoky at all. Try it, you’ll love it!

Update as of March 2022: My husband picks up our pizza here so much they know us by name. We have never had a bad pizza after many many orders at this point. Tonight we had an extra pepperoni pizza and the cheesy breadsticks. We love their breadsticks so much so adding cheese to them, oh man, were they good!!! There was so much pepperoni in every bite it was crazy loaded. The price compared to other local places is outstanding and the quality just makes it all the better.

Small brand new pizza place in town! Ordered a small cheese pizza at 9pm on a Friday night and it was hot and ready in 15 minutes. The parking is really bad, had to just throw on the hazards to run in. There is so much cheese that's nice and browned and a yummy flavor!! We are so excited to have a new pizza place in town after driving 30 minutes to Crown Point every week. We will be back!!

I find it hard to order pizza from any other place in Lowell since Route 2 has come around.

The food is great, the prices are fair, they’re fast as hell, and they have yet to mess up my order. Can’t beat that!

First day in town and I picked this place. Girl on the phone was very polite. My order arrived in the time she said. Delivery guy was a good guy too. Meat lovers pizza was hot, perfect and delicious !!! I got the garlic cheese bread as well, sooo good. Highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be ordering again!!

Excellent pizza. Great flavor! The tomato sauce is so good. The cheese, sausage and mushrooms were fantastic. Great job. Our first time ordering, it won't be our last.

Love this pizza.. Fresh tasting, love the ground sausage topping, reminds me of the old Tivoli Tap in Gary back in the day.

Best pizza place in town, GET THE CHEESY BREADSTICKS WITH JALEPENO! you will not regret it! The pizza is delicious, for any Lowell House of Pizza fans, this is the closest I've tasted to it.

My 2nd time to order there...1st time...they were new..so so pizzas...this time WOW..absolutely great...dont know what they changed but great pizza...ordered cheese/sausage/mushrooms/jalapenos and a regular cheese/sausage...best in town👍

Best pizza I’ve ever had In lowell. I hope they consider getting Canadian bacon one day. A little pricey but we’ll worth it.
