Jantz Café & Bakery

Easy access off the freeway and worth the stop! We stopped in for pie, but ended up buying a cute Tshirt, decorated sugar cookies for the granddaughters, and coffee from their shop next door. So many beautiful pies to choose from! Plus a freezer case stocked with grab & go meals, a lovely, caring staff and a comfortable setting. My peach pie & coffee were delicious! I only wish I would have brought home a whole pie and a couple meals from the freezer case. Will definitely stop again next time I'm passing through.

Extremely tasty and high quality meals!! Maybe the best taste wise in Atwater. The service is almost perfect. The only bad thing I have to say at all is I had one friend get a “rude” waiter on ONE occasion. I don’t think something like that should diminish how great the food and service usually is. It is a bit more pricey than other places but the value and quality of what you pay for is unmatched. This would be my first recommendation for anyone where money isn’t a consideration. Also a nice dine in atmosphere but not as nice as a high tier restaurant, obviously.

Everyone is very considerate and the food is excellent. Especially liked the tuna melt, it has a nice tangy flavor and the sour dough bread is top notch.

I especially love the staff. They r so gracious, polite and respectful. The food is amazing. Recently, had clam chowder on Friday. Scrumptious, and a great price. I have nothing that could be improved. Sometimes there’s a long wait for lunch. But, you’re popular, and it’s worth the wait!

Great mom and pop vibe to them for a local diner. Been here many times and they always deliver great service and good food. Their bakery is amazing. Also the macaroni salad and house Caesar wrap is a personal favorite. I go out of my way for them time and time again.

The food is very good here and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the deserts they offer, as they are all homemade and very high quality. The workers are always very friendly and attentive to the customer's needs and requests. Jantz is one of my favorite local restaurants and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Truly loved going Jantz, for my first time I liked it so much I came back the next day. I really love their coffee, the taste is great and the names are unique. The atmosphere of the cafe was really comfortable, clean, and welcoming. I highly recommend going to Jantz cafe.

The service was excellent - friendly and professional. The food was also delicious! We ordered a French Dip sandwich with baked potato salad and a Jantz Original hamburger with macaroni salad. We also brought some cheesecake home, which was also delicious! It was our first time dining at your location; we will definitely be returning!

The food and service was phenomenal this time! They made sure my sauces were in there and I had ranch for my salad! I love their food and only have enough time for pick up so I’m excited they got my order correct! I had a great lunch! And their staff always nice!

This place is always busy. But for a very good reason great food and good service. The avocado toast is amazing as well as the cheeseburger chowder! Make sure to join the rewards program for tasty deals!

Jantz Cafe & Bakery is a hidden gem, don't let the secret out or we will have to get reservations weeks in advance. Everyone is friendly and the food is out of this world. The meals are huge, and everything tastes delicious, because it is homemade. The service was excellent & they were super busy reopening after Christmas. We are sharing our cinnamon roll.

When I arrived to check in there was quite a line waiting to get a table. The gentleman hosting did a good job keeping everyone updated making the atmosphere lighter and the wait didn’t seem so long. This gentleman became our server and did an excellent job in this position as well. My only disappointment was that the chicken in my cali chicken sandwich was a little overdone and dry.

Fantastic food, generous portions, outstanding service. They also made a great effort to accommodate our gluten allergy and ensure that there was no cross contamination.
What a wonderful, family friendly place. I wish there was one near our house!

The brewed coffee was terribly weak. Staff said that's they brew it the same every day. Shame, since they are a coffee shop as well, and a latte is almost the same price (which is excellent BTW)!

Love the omelets and fresh fruit option! Something for everyone! Everything is top notch quality. I get the feeling it's almost all made from scratch which you can absolutely taste and smell. I think I prefer lunch menu because it's easier to split with spouse since they have HUGE portions LOL! Best Potato Salad ever! Love the environment, sooooo clean, tasteful and relaxing. I try and get there every two weeks and it's over 40 minute drive!

The food is delicious and I love the frozen dinners to take home, especially the cheesy enchiladas. The coffee bar is the best by far!! The staff is always friendly and you are greeted with a smile when you walk in.
