Love the place! Nice layout and the coffee and pastry I had was delish! I look forward to coming back to try some of the food as well.

Californian sandwich was everything you want out of a turkey sandwich and more. Crisp greens, good hearty bread and bright dressing to lift it all up.fills you up without weighing you down. Will have to try the gelato next time.

Always a reliable and cozy spot for quick breakfast and lunch fare. Can get quite busy on weekend mornings as would be expected.

This is an independent, neighborhood coffee shop. The staff are good, caring people. Always a great way to spend some leisure time or work from home. They make their own coffee!

Neighborhood mainstay does their own roasting. Very nice espresso drinks. Gelato looked tempting even on this very cold day! Plenty of space for dining in.

I tend to find cafes in big cities to be show offs with more effort on presentation than quality, but this is not the case with Java house.

The coffee is delicious and the food is great. My husband and I had breakfast sandwiches. I was thrilled to see and taste fresh ingredients for the sandwiches. We are from out of state, but we look forward to coming back here in the future.

Java House is a well-established cafe in the Historic Dupont Circle neighborhood. Situated on the warm side of Q St NW, Java House’s large patio offers power outlets along the railing, as well as umbrellas and an extendable awning for shade during warmer days.

Java House is a great place to study, grab weekend (or any day) breakfast & lunch, or extend your work-from-home office for a few hours.

A 17th Street staple. Cozy neighborhood vibe. Good food, nice place to hang out, and they always play good music.

We had very good coffee. My egg and avocado sandwich was yummy but could have used a touch of salt. Nice outside seating.

The shop is on a great corner in DC and out of 50+ coffee shops, has the best Chai lattes. The salads are generous and wonderful as well, fresh and made right on the spot. I go out of my way to come here consistently and friends are starting to come as well. Definitely must stop in!

The people who worked there were super friendly. The coffee I had was just how I liked it not to bitter or sweet. I got a sandwich there that was so good and made fresh and they had probably had one of the best cookies I’ve had at a coffee shop.

Really good coffee. Small and tight inside, but wonderful staff. Granola is quite good. Generous with bananas and strawberries. Have not tried pastries or breakfast sandwiches.

Great place to grab a solid breakfast sandwich and coffee to-go, but its also a great atmosphere to stay a while and work/chat. Love the food, service, and atmosphere here. Also there's an easy-to-use printing service inside if needed.
