We visited this place for dinner on Saturday. The staff was very friendly and they arranged a quick seating for us. We ordered Cut Mirchi,Butter Roti,Chilli Garlic Naan,Paneer Kadhai and Veg Biryani.
The food arrived early,very minimum wait time. The cut Mirchi pakoda was fresh and piping hot. It had a good flavour. Butter Roti was good and Kadhai paneer was flavourful too. The highlight of the meal was Garlic Chilli Naan.It was so light and flavourful that I will go back to eat it. I can say that it was the best naan I have eaten till date. Veg Biryani was delicious and good too. I wish they give more Raita(we can always order extra Raita but it would be good if they give it in a medium size bowl rather than dipping bowl).
We have been going to this place since 2017 and food here is great. We will definitely go back to eat some more Chilli Garlic Naan. The hotel staff are very friendly and always greet us well! This place has a lot of positive vibes.

Wanted to find a decent Indian place and tabla exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious 😋 but spicy even the mild is spicy…. But they do have chocolate dosa! They have a super size dosa which is really fun to order. The service is great the servers will definitely help you if you are not familiar with the menu. bonus point here is that they have self serve chai tea :) free of charge.

I placed a pickup order at this Indian restaurant, and their special Vijayawada boneless chicken biryani is incredibly delicious – one of the best I've had in the States. While I didn't dine in, the pickup experience was smooth with the food ready on time. The ambiance seemed decent, and overall, I highly recommend this place for biryani enthusiasts.

One of the hidden gems of the Bay area. Every south Indian Biryani lover must go to this place at least once. Suggest me a better place if you find one. By far, hands down one of the best south Indian restaurants which you could find around San Mateo with a bunch of other wonderful dishes other than Biryani... The atmosphere and ambience is really good.

After long day of work first time tried Indian chicken fried rice from this restaurant, taste is 100% , Ingredients 100% fresh , Quality and quantity brilliant ,price reasonable then other restaurants . Environment, clean and healthy thank you.

Delicious food. Biriyani was authentic, fresh and good quantity for 2 adults.
The Goat kheema curry with paratha was good.
Paneer dish (Andhra & chef specialty) this was spicy, yummy and authentic 👍🏽.
Masala Dosa was too good. Great chutney and sambar.
The service was friendly and quick.

Very friendly staff. When we told the guy that we’re first timer trying Indian food, he smiled.
Good food, and fast service. My son and I like the tandoori roti, while my husband like the chicken biryani. The mango lassi is also very flavorful. They also have a kid menu if your kid don’t like to eat with parents.
Now I know why this place is always full. We’ll come again!

One of the best Lamb Curry in the Peninsula - it’s really mouth watering! 🤤 We also had Paneer Dosa and it was fully stuffed yet a thin, crispy dosa maintained. Their sambhar is amazing as well.

And the garlic naan.. mmm!! Cirspy thin, buttery, and loaded with garlic.

The servers are very kind, courteous, and timely.

Amazing amazing amazing food! Must try. Owner is really Good.

It’s a pretty medium size resturant serving delicious Indian food. The hosts are kind. I went for lunch and had following dishes Idli, chini dosa, and chicken chilly. The taste is absolutely fantastic.

Great food! Fast service! Reasonably priced. Great quantity! Kids were pleasantly surprised with the 70 mm paper dosa- a must try. Samosas and the mint chutney were flavorful. The best restaurant we have eaten at in SF so far. Also the masala tea is on the house.

I recently visited this restaurant and was impressed by their dishes. The flavors were rich and vibrant, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The staff was also friendly and attentive, making sure my experience was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Tabla St Mateo is one of the best restaurants in SF. Their food is very tasty and flavorful. We enjoyed it a few times. Also the service is excellent especially by Dario. A big Thank you from US

We drive down from San Francisco to go here - they have such amazing biryani! The Vijayawada chicken biryani is probably my favorite, and it comes with this delicious gravy on the side. Plus, the parking is easy, there’s free chai, and the servers are always so incredibly welcoming and sweet to our little kids. My three year old spilled a cup of tea, and they didn’t bat an eye and helped us clean it up.

Great food - every dish we ordered was high quality - the kids cheese dosa was perfect with what looked like Amul cheese. The owner kindly supplemented the chutney with ketchup / hersheys chocolate as an alternative when he learnt our kid had nut allergy. The Chicken Dum Biryani was flavorful and huge portion size. The rava dosa was probably the best we’ve had in the Bay Area. Highly recommend eating here, the owner was extremely kind and went out of his way to make our meal enjoyable.

Awesome butter chicken and narratan korma. Also the biriyani and chicken 65 dry are fantastic. My new favorite Indian place. In addition to the food the staff is really friendly and helpful.

Paneer biryani is amazing here. It comes in good quantity as well. They have ample seating space here. Also, they have free tea which is very good in taste.
