The Johnny is seriously my new favorite burger of all time! Just wow! My fiance got The Cali, which is a veggie burger and even that was pretty good. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been. Also, Gabriel is a very kind cashier and thought he was worth mentioning in the review.

An excellent burger. Made to order, overflowing toppings. I loved it. The fry sauce was fantastic, and the ingredients for the entire burger were top notch. The chef even came out and talked with us and thanked us for coming. They have rotating specials every weekend and I'll for sure be back to check them out! My only complaint was that they use a harder -almost- ciabatta bun. I personally would prefer a softer bun, but it was delicious anyways!

The best burgers we’ve had in a long time! We were so impressed with the delicious burger patty, the overflowing toppings and the sweet and sour sauce. We will be making the trip to American Fork again soon! And Denise was a wonderful cashier- great salesperson - even invited us back for the pork belly this weekend.

This is exactly the kind of burger experience you hope for. The flavors blend perfectly. The ingredients are high quality. The staff love to create a great experience for you - after our meal the chef came out and had a great chat with us. We learned about the story of this restaurant. He's cooked and traveled the world his whole life, and here you get to enjoy one of the best burgers in Utah. Absolutely make it a priority to stop by.

This place was incredible. We got the Johnny, the Meat Man and the Peanut Butter & Jam Jalapeño burger. All of them were incredible. Out of the three, we absolutely recommend the peanut butter & jam burger.

This place also has draft beers and outdoor seating. The vibes were immaculate. Would totally come back!

The hamburger was phenomenal. It had great flavor and the fries were delicious. The price is very reasonable for the quality of food. The only thing I would change would be self-serve sauce. I like a lot of sauce with my food and they only give a small container with each meal.

You know it’s a good burger when they ask how you want it done. They’ve done an incredible medium rare burger every time I’ve come here, hands down my new favorite burger joint. Super good quality food and great service every time!

Great taste at a great price! If you haven't been here, you should. The food here tastes great, what you get is excellent for the price, and the quality is great. The customer service is courteous and fast. It looks family run, and they all seem very nice and interested in providing the best customer experience. They occasionally have specials, and so far every special has been great.

We are from out of state and stopped here for a quick bite. First of all service was fantastic, explained what their popular items were and explained you could customize any order. We ordered the Johnny and chicken pesto. Both were fantastic, flavors all went very well together, food was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have a great burger.

Food was very good! Hit the sweet spot in being high enough quality and also quantity.

I don’t want two meals of meh food. And I don’t want a half meal of incredible food.

Give me a one meal of great food. That’s what I felt I got here.

Burgers were cooked to order. I got medium and seemed great. Wifey did medium well and didn’t say anything, so that probably means it was great as well.

Bun was crispy which was a great addition to the vibe of the burger.

Fries were a great combo of potato chip and potato wedge. Really liked them.

Ate my burger and fries without feeling guilty about how much food it was, but also finished not feeling like they had scammed me at the price under the guise of quality.

That’s a tough balance I think. But for me they got it.

Wifey also really loved her burger and fries.

Location is on the small side and they do allow groups to reserve seating beforehand, so be prepared to sit outside or at a style of seat you don’t prefer. (Bar vs booth)

Employees were polite and quick. Seemed to enjoy working there and to have a service mindset, which somehow isn’t always a given at restaurants these days.

Also, the cell signal is really bad but the WiFi password they give is too complex. I mean do Burgers12 and then rotate the numbers every once in a while. That’s a weird thing to have a misstep on.

We will be eating here many times in the future for sure.

A beer with your burger in Utah county? We were pleasantly surprised when we happened upon Burgers and Barley. My husband greatly enjoyed the Cali burger and the Mediterranean salad (which has a watermelon base) was unique and great. Draft beers always a nice surprise at a counter service restaurant, especially in American Fork.

The service was great. The girls at the counter were very friendly when we ordered and after we got our food we were visited by a kitchen employee and then later the owner checking on how our food was and if we needed anything. The food was outstanding! I had the Gorgonzola and my husband had the Outlaw and the fries were unique and very good. This is seriously the best burger I have had in Utah. Very juicy & tasty and the prices were very reasonable. The owner told us he grinds the meat daily in house. We will definitely be repeat customers. We were there at 5:30 and there was no wait but we were told it gets very busy at times. They do take reservations.

OMG. This place is the bomb. Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I ordered the Aloha Burger, and my family ordered the Mac and Cheese burger, and the Outlaw. Everyone thought their burgers were out of this world and we all wish they would open one in Texas! The fries were unique and awesome, too.

The service went above and beyond, and though we were just passing through town on vacation, they made us feel like regulars. Wish we were!

This is THE place for burgers in the American Fork/Lehi area. Run, don’t walk.

Price is fair for the quality of the food. Probably the BEST burger I’ve had in awhile. First time eating here and was SHOCKED by how good it was. Definitely will be coming back. $10 for a burger that blows every other place out of the water. Also, the lady up front was great. Highly recommend! $30 for two people, which is about the same price everywhere else.

This is a very solid, pub-style burger joint. The burgers were really good. I won’t say it’s the best burger in Utah County but it is definitely worth trying. Their model seems to focus on higher quality and better prepared beef. Don’t get me wrong, the buns and toppings were good too, but what sets it apart is the meat. This is highlighted even in the ordering experience as they ask every customer how well done they want the burger. Different than a normal burger place. The fries are also surprisingly good. They’re a mix between a wedge and a chip and are prepared in a way I’ve never seen before. Some crispy, some soft. Overall a great new burger addition to the local food scene. Check them out.

Awesome place for a burger and a beer. The burger was awesome. I had the meat with jalapeño on it and it was absolutely life changing!!! The fries are a nice change up from conventional French fries. And the beer was phenomenal. I had a juicy IPA and it was perfect. Staff was nice, restaurant was clean. Atmosphere rocks

I got the JONNY, it’s very good, it totally worth the money, and the owner is very nice, service is great, and the TV is huge to watch some fun ball games. Totally a 5/5 place to go!!

One of the best burger experiences I've ever had. Fries are also amazing and unique, not to mention the fry sauce is incredible.

I've tried several of their burgers, but their recent special was PB & jalapeno jam with bacon and it was perhaps the very best burger I've ever eaten.

My only complaint is that this burger is not a permanent item on the menu, because it should be!

Burgers & Barley is fantastic. This was my first visit, and the food and service were both exceptional. I had the Meat Man and Home fries with an Epic Chasing Ghosts. The burger was phenomenal (get plenty of napkins, it's messy), and the drink, a local brew, is now my favorite IPA. 10/10, and I will definitely be back.
