Always love giving unique places a try, especially for a philli cheese steak. Awesome, the food was freshly made and arrived steaming to the table. If you're looking for a quick bite, Fat Boy is the way to go.

Beware, behind this unassuming building lies a very assuming 12 inch Philly. And it hungers for You.

I mean dang, since some of my preferred cheese steak places closed down, and subways is a salad pretending to have meat, I thought the good cheese steaks were locked away. Well, found a decent place. Good price, tasty food, loads of sodium to hurt you.

You want a messy sub to eat up while dipping your onion rings in the meat and cheese, you should try this out.

We just discovered this fabulous place today. The people who run it are VERY
pleasant. But their food is AWESOME!!!
We split their foot long Philly Steak Sandwich with grilled mushrooms, onions & peppers. The meat is SO TENDER & has THE BEST FLAVOR!!!! An order of fries or onion rings are only $2 each!!!
Can't wait to go back and try all the other yummy stuff on the menu!!!😋
Also, won't break the bank to eat here.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!! When most places are skimping on their food now that there's so much inflation, their sandwiches & fries & onion rings are such GENEROUS portions!!! REASONABLE prices!!! Friendly & very helpful!!! I STILL LOVE this place!!!!
Best kept secret in Salt Lake!!!!

This place is great. It’s not an “out of the box and heat up” kind of place. All of the ingredients were being cooked individually. The onion rings were perfect; crispy and you could easily bite through without pulling the onion out. The Philly cheesesteak is their specialty and was fantastic. I would absolutely eat here again.

I've been watching this place on social media for months and I finally made it in! This was an Excellent Classic Philly with onions and White American Cheese! I found out it was just the way Grandma liked it! As I was enjoying myself in the dining room, to my great delight, I was given a complimentary meatball. Who does that?! It was crazy good. I'm so grateful for good food and amazing customer service. I'll be back with my family. Thank you!

Yo!!! Fat Boy Phillies is amazing. Tried it for the first time today and was not disappointed! The bread was so soft and portions were right and not sloppy. Oh sooo good. I'll be back.

Been going to this sub shop for 40 years. They have Never screwed up my order, and the food is great, every single time. Eat there, show them the Love they have earned, and support them opening a Murray location.

Wow, this place is delicious! We got the meatball and Philly subs, both of which were great. You can tell they use very high quality ingredients and fresh bread.

Great Philly cheese steak! I wasn't sure about the Cheese Whiz until I tried it. Fantastic! Fries and onion rings we're good too. Loved the meat balls à la cart, I'll get the sandwich next time. Owner was very friendly and attentive. Great experience.

Been meaning to check this place out and finally stopped by today. Love the building and location. Parking is around back behind the building. They have a large menu with many different kinds of phillies, sandwiches, and burgers. The special was a 12 inch philly, which I decided to get. For $2 more you get a drink and fries or onion rings. The staff was very friendly and recommended white American cheese on my philly, so that's what I got. The food was pretty good and you get a lot of it. I definitely will be coming back.
Edit 11/7/19 - came back for the second time and it was phenomenal. BEST CHEESE STEAK IN UTAH! They recommended the cheese steak with cherry peppers, grilled onions, and whiz. This is what everyone should get. Service is fantastic too, very nice people who make a great experience for you.

My husband grew up in Jersey on Philly Cheesesteaks with Cheese Wiz(that you have to ask for, as it should be). We’ve been searching for a Philly Cheese that tastes like home. Fat Boys finally delivered! 10/10 cheese steaks! Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, speedy staff. They also have a homemade recipe for Jalapeño Mayo which is to die for! Definitely check them out!

This unassuming joint is my new go-to for legit Phillies. The meat is chopped perfect and is tendor and savory. The meat, mushrooms and peppers tasted fresh and they must put an addictive chemical in the meat that makes you crave it fortnightly. But seriously it is the best I have had.

Also, try the Philly cheese fries. May be the best thing to happen to french fries since fry sauce, which they offer as well.

We purchased 20 sandwiches for the people at work. Turkey, Italian and roast beef. The sandwiches were large and a big hit.

Great sub shop..as good as grinders ever was..so glad they kept the spirit of it because it always had great subs. From cheesesteaks to turkey. Awesome. Loving the murray location way more

The Fire Bird is freaking delicious! Better than any of those "hot chicken" places popping up all over. It's also huge. I'm a big guy and left feeling stuffed.

Great place for quick service and a tasty bite!

I was here for vacation and wanted to see what was around. Nothing stood out as a Utah special but Philly cheesesteak def caught my eye. I called and the owner was super nice and gave recommendations on the most popular things. I told her what I liked and she was able to get it ready for me within 10-15 mins!

There is parking at the restaurant so I just drove down the street. Quick and easy.

Sandwich was awesome, and onion rings were great! It also came with two sauces - one was a ketchup/Mayo combo while another was a slightly spicy green sauce. Both were great!

The restaurant seemed a little sketchy when we drove up, but as soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was awesome. It was clean and everything was in good order. The food was fantastic!! Our cashier asked what kinds of things we liked and then recommended the Fat Boy. We were very happy with our food. All of the employees that we interacted with were super nice. It was a great experience. I would recommend it!

Really good authentic Philly Cheese steak. Not greasy and the bread is amazing. Really big portions enough for 2 meals with a combo. Great atmosphere and the staff here is really nice. One of the best Philly's in Salt Lake City.

Turkey sub was so much food. Great for the price. Fries are crispy. Everything seemed fresh..love this place

Love that it's a dive place. Lots of charm and love. Great food...they have cheese wiz!! And jalapeno sauce. Would go again. A hidden gem if you're the type that wants to try something comforting. Messy but tasty! I had the classics 12 inch philly cheese with cheese wiz. Yum! My daughter had the meatball sub. The meatballs were huge!
