A great breakfast and lunch place! Get here early before things get busy for a seat inside or out too. Everyone works together for high service and speedy delivery of meals. A simple floor layout and decor buy all good at a comfortable place. The toast is thicker and quite good. All natural ingredients with a diner type of flair. Would certainly recommend to anyone enjoying a good breakfast.

I rarely give a 5. Blown away by the overall experience. 3 Egg scramble. On MF point..so delicious and seasoned well. Delicious coffee (they have stevia!) Service!!! Service was quick and noticeable friendly and accommodating. I’d like to give a shout out to Rachel. What a gem. I was grumpy and hungry when I came in and I would say that because of her joyous attitude and conversation skills mixed with a wonderful breakfast left me buzzing. She’s a gem and Matt you got a keeper there. Recommend 100%! Be sure to have breakfast here if you’re in the Phoenix area. Solid 5 Stars.

We arrived at the (campus?) location right as the door opened, and really glad we did. Before we got our meals there was a wiring line for seats. We had the pork chop meal (chop and chick), the (sandwich) and the special of the day a grilled pepper scramble. All three of us were very happy with the meals. Quick friendly service, large portions and the had rye bread for my buddy (can't find that everywhere). I will absolutely be returning to this (at one or the other of the locations).

It was good. Pricey I thought but every breakfast place has gone up crazy prices lately. Hard to justify not just buying your own eggs and bacon for home. Nice place, super friendly. Parking a little inconvenient, not their fault. Not a lot of variety for the breakfast menu, I was expecting more diner type variety. But what we got was delicious.

The fam came in for brunch and had a fantabulous meal! I ordered the five spot, the hubby had the daily special and the kiddos shared the hog and chick. Haley was incredibly sweet, patient and engaging with the kiddos. The place was extremely busy and she always had a smile on her face, a courteous response and a professional attitude. The whole serving team seems to work together and take care of each other, so that the diners experience the best service possible. It did not go unnoticed. We definitely recommend and plan on going back. Thank you!!

We stumbled upon this place during an early morning walk because we smelled the bacon and followed the scent.
By far the best breakfast I have ever had in my entire life. Everything was fresh, the bacon was so thick I could have slapped someone with it, and I had no idea home fries could taste so good. My over easy eggs did not have a spot of cooked yolk and broke perfectly over my home fries. Honestly, I feel like day one of my weeklong AZ dining experience has culminated and I may as well not eat the rest of my time here.
I whole heartedly apologize to the server at whom I somewhat aggressively screamed “THIS IS THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE.” I did not mean to verbally assault you.

Amazing service from amazing staff! I enjoyed my breakfast meal at the location. This manager (assuming he was it) recognized that I am Deaf and gestured to learn what I would like. So he added my name to the waiting list. I was seated within 10 mins. The place was super busy but the whole staff was great. I enjoyed the waffle with two pieces of bacon with half avocado as a side.

Insane food. Went here for breakfast everyday. Home cooked, moreish food that just hit the spot. Staff were super helpful.
If you come to Phoenix and don’t eat here, you have rocks in your head.

Yummy! All the food we had as a group was divine. The service was great. Freshly squeezed OJ, delectable bacon, oh, and the potatoes, I can't forget the potatoes.

Seated quickly at the counter. Super friendly and kind staff. Had the Hog & Chick and the Cheese Omelet with peppers, onions, ham, sourdough toast, and home fries. Definitely go for the omelet - it was a perfectly cooked with so many fillings. Would definitely come back to try the Eggs Benedict special.

Family breakfast before heading home. Awesome choice. Pancakes are so good. 3 year old daughter enjoyed and ate majority of her food, which was incredible. Large portions. Worth a stop. The coffee never missed a beat, waitress made sure everyone was topped off.

Okay right out of the gate, the bacon. Dang. It was so yummy. Plenty of options fresh food great service!

I visited here today with a girlfriend. I got the waffle and bacon with a side of eggs and the raspberry honey lemonade. My friend had the Hog and chick with a strawberry honey lemonade. Everything was delicious and served hot. I love Matt's! I will definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Matt’s for a very long time! I always enjoy the great food and spunky staff. My meal was fantastic but a friend that I was with ordered the avocado toast and well… it looked fantastic on the plate it was one piece of VERY thick cut bread avocado and micro greens. Unfortunately the bread was just too much. And at 12+ dollars probably not going to re order that one. The drinks are great and the rest of the menu seems of good quality! If you get a chance to eat at the airport location do it 😉

A few years ago i've visted Matts Big Breakfast, just because i loved their applewood smoked bacon. Now i had the chance to viait Matts again (8years later) and it did hold up their promise of a great, huge breakfast. Right in Downtown Phoenix, this small place offers a great, huge breakfast in an industrial style restaurants with parking on-site. Come' early because it's usually packed on the weekends.

The food is tasty, it's affordable and their bread they serve is to die for. Check it out, it's worth it.

Plenty of good menu items, enjoyed the salami scramble. My second choice would have been the avocado toast but after seeing it the next table over I'm glad I didn't order it, looked like a salad on top of toast.
My only disappointment was with the lack of sweet n low or french vanilla creamer for the coffee which was otherwise good. Limited parking in the lot but found an open spot and almost no wait for a table
