Big Sur River Inn Valero

We were passing through for a quick night with our two young children. Our double room was across the street from the main lobby/restaurant. Everything was very clean and quiet. I was worried about booking because of some other reviews but we had a great experience and even with two small children I felt it was pretty clean.

The kids played on the river while we had a few drinks and played as well. The restaurant was pretty good, more expensive than you would expect but with such a remote location that’s expected. We actually got some milk and cereal from the general store right by the restaurant and the kids were happy with that for breakfast.

Quaint little pit stop. Gas, sodas, souvenirs and ICE CREAM! Great spot for gas and snacks as you are driving up the coast to Monterrey. Lots of parking. Located next door to the River Inn and half mile away from the Big Sur Campground.

Never paid so much per gallon in my life. It was worth every penny as my guage was on E and I thought I was going to be stranded. I was very happy when I saw this place around the curve.

The funky blue bus serves delicious ice cream! **gas was astronomically priced here. Was almost $5 per gallon! Would highly recommend filling up before making the long drive up coast**.

Only place in Big Sur where you can buy a place next to river to eat. Packed during labor day weekend, seemed very nice and considering the county wont let you near the water on beaches its exclusive since you can play here.

Was a bit busy but ... it was a nice stop, we got gas next door and got deli sandwiches to go, the sandwiches were made with quality inertance. Thank you for your hospitality.

Most expensive gas on highway 1. Wonderful area to stop. Has a restaurant attached and a general store.

1 of the neatest gas stations I've ever been to. You must get some ice-cream from the bus.
