Kitty Hawk Kites

Great time parasailing with our family of 5 on July 18th at Manteo! The captain and 1st Mate were really knowledgeable and entertaining. 3 of us did the 400ft, and 2 of us did 600ft. No need to be scared, it is a peaceful, relaxing ride. While I was up we saw around 10 dolphins jumping right below us, it was an extra bonus!

First time parasailing, and I was very pleased with my experience! The crew we had was amazing, and they made sure we all felt comfortable! If you’re looking for your next adventure, check them out! As you will be glad you did!

Was a very fun experience. Staff was very friendly from booking to checking us in , to actually parasailing. Had to reschedule because of weather which was a very simple process. Would highly suggest to everyone. Captain and first mate were awesome and made the experience that much more fun for me and the whole family. We will be back next year to give the kids a turn :)

Did the 2000 foot tandem tour and the guys that were there was the best. David the ground guy told me what to expect and answered all my questions. And Mike the flight instructor was awesome during the flight he pointed out several interesting facts about the area and showed me how to maneuver the glider and even let me take over and fly it around for what seemed like hours. I highly recommend doing this on your next visit to the OBX.

Luke was really kind and personable checking us in; he made the process intuitive and quick. We had a great time parasailing for the first time with Dane and Rusty. We saw plenty of dolphins in the sound during the trip, so that was a big plus! Kitty Hawks Kites provided an excellent experience during our most recent beach vacation in Nags Head. My daughter and I booked a jet Ski day as well as a parasailing day. The jet ski rental area was great. We were able to check in and watch a quick safety video. The staff was all very cool. The jet Ski area was spacious enough that we were able to fly around at full speed without coming anywhere near the other two jet skis that were out there with us. The following day was very memorable with my daughter and I both being able to go parasailing together. The boat captain and first mate were really fun and interactive. Talking to everyone and overall making it a really cool experience for everyone involved. Lastly, the online booking process on their website was very straightforward and easy to use. I would definitely recommend Kitty Hawk Kites for a fun adventure if you want to break up the day and get out and do something fun. 😉

Stephanie and her mom kathie were the sweetest people there was a mixup with our kayak tour so they compt us a couple hours to go on our own they were very hospitable and we had a great time.

So much fun! Jason and Deren were the best! Definitely made our flights fun and memorable.

My son (12) and husband parasailed for the first time today and they loved it. We booked 2 hours in advance online and had no issues. The guys on the boat were knowledgeable and put my son, who was a little apprehensive, at ease. My 5 year old, my dad and I all rode along as observers and the guys were very friendly and professional. Also, the $30 photo package is well worth it. An SD card was provided at the end with lots of great shots. Very happy with this experience.

There couldn't have been a better experience than the one I had at the Kitty Hawk kites located downtown in Manteo. Everyone was eager to help and give me ideas. The staff knew their inventory well and made suggestions according to my needs. They were extremely careful with packaging and protecting my larger items. I will definitely be back!

Hats off to Morgan for amazing customer service at the Manteo location. She was approachable and understanding, and made our family really comfortable using SUP for the first time. And when a sudden storm blew in while we were on the water, she went way above and beyond to make sure we were all safe. Thanks, Morgan!

Fun kayaking trip for a group of 8 of us. It was definitely a workout, but really good stories and interesting background on the local wildlife. Most notable, though, was the customer service. When our trip ran across a group of rowdy kids (on land, which really didn't take away from our trip at all, and which was well beyond Kitty Hawk Kites' control) they took quick, decisive action and went out of their way to make it up to us. That was unnecessary from where we were sitting, but certainly appreciated and really showed us how much they care about giving everyone an exceptional experience. We definitely would recommend them for a fun excursion for something different, interesting, and educational on the Outer Banks!

Went out on our first parasailing trip today. We enjoyed it immensely.

Had a private sailboat excursion today and it was fantastic! The Captain was friendly and we had great conversation about The Lost Colony. I highly recommend the sailboat! We will book again next year.

Many of the other places that offer parasailing send you up to Duck, but we were 5 minutes from Manteo. Kitty Hawk Kites offered parasailing in the sound. From their friendly staff at the store to their captains and first mates, Kitty Hawk Kites was professional and great at what they do.

My teen and I parasailed and had a great time. Fun pictures were offered by the crew (Thanks to Captain Rusty and FM Billy) and captured our experience. You can bring your own camera, but I didn't feel like dragging that stuff aboard and worrying about water damage.

The ride featured 3 parties, two families and ours. Plenty of room to spread out. We were up in the air for more than 10 minutes and got to take in many of the sites we had visited during our week. My wife and other teen rented SUPs and had a great time too.

We will deal with Kitty Hawk again, on our next vacation.

My daughter and her friend had a great time parasailing with Kitty Hawk Kites. I was on the boat as an observer. I would like to thank the captain and his assistant (sorry I missed your names it was the 12:30pm sailing on 8/3) for an excellent job getting us back to shore. A dramatic change in the winds made the last parasailing pair very dangerous. The captain and his assistant remained calm through the whole thing. They made sure everyone was protected as we sped through the rain storm. A great job by both gentlemen. They also very entertaining before the rain storm.

Bought the Sea Hawk stunt kite yesterday. A little boys dream, I finally got a chance to fulfill it. So much fun brought me back 30 years. All my kids were able to fly it (9,11 & 12) relatively easily. They were very knowledgeable and steered me to a good choice. Thank You Kitty Hawk Kites.

We sailed with Captain Robbie and it was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! He and his crew, Captain Bill and first mate Paul were so accommodating to us. It was a once in a lifetime experience we will never ever forget! Highly recommend!!! 💯
