The Café

The Café is the place to be. If you are in the mood for breakfast, they have you covered with a selection of tasty breakfast choices. Cruising in for a quick lunch? They have you covered on that, too! If you are a foodie like myself, then you order more than you can eat, and take it home. Make sure you stop in and fill your stomach with some of the flavorful goodness! The atmosphere is modern, and the customer service is top-notch! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The food here is always EXCELLENT! Service can sometimes seem slow, probably because they are always busy. The food (I believe) is served as soon as it is ready, and a lot of times brought out by someone other than your wait person. Everyone does their best and they are all very pleasant. Worth the wait to be seated.

Don't be surprised to wait a little. The food is fantastic!

Shortly after my wife and I moved to San Diego from Tokyo via Washington DC approximately 3-years ago, we were introduced to The Valley View Casino Hotel & Casino. As an aside, over the years we've had the opportunity to visit a number of casinos from the American Indian casinos in Connecticut to the Vegas-style casinos in New Jersey to the exotic casinos in Macau to the iconic casinos in Las Vegas (strip and downtown venues). One of the important aspects of visiting each and every casino is finding an on-site restaurant featuring exotic culinary delights to basic American fare. Since our move to San Diego, we discovered the Valley View Casino. Out disappointment with the regulations prohibiting "real" roulette play was off-set by what we discovered on Cafe's menu inside the casino.
At the risk of initiating a stampede, we have been consistently impressed with the absolute yummy breakfast and lunch offerings of the Cafe. Of particular note, for us, the baker and his/her team at the Cafe are to be commended for consistently offering up some absolutely delicious baked goods and desserts.

Very affordable prices

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The steak and eggs is worth it. The staff is the finest. We felt like they treated us like we're dignitaries.. not that we know any..

Food was good 👍 service was great

The prime rib and honey walnut shrimp are good sized portions and taste excellent.

Food was good but getting there only 10 minutes before they closed we got 1/2 tots and 1/2 fries cause they didn't want to make more 😑 lesson learned come before 830. The clam chowder made me hurl... shame cause it was a promising thought.
I only hope it was just me getting sick not everyone who ordered the soup

Food is good but a little overpriced. Service is horribly slow.

My husband and I have eaten here several times in the past. Our breakfast was okay. Everything was cooked how we ordered it, but the food just tasted okay. The sausage links had no flavor, and the bacon although well cooked wasn't crisp. Pancakes were pretty good. Our eggs were cooked the way we ordered it, but didn't taste like they were cooked in butter. They tasted oily too me. Hashbrowns were not crispy, and were under seasoned. I was also disappointed to see that they removed several breakfast menu items that I used to order, like the Eggs Benedict.

Service was very slow and the waiter couldn't remember anything. Second class service. Pretty bad for a place that is about customer experience.

Put our name, waited the 2 hours to get seated. When we finally got in and seated we waited another 30 minutes, after we got our drinks ordered nobody came by to check on us or help us, in fact the few times someone came remotely close to help us they were intersected by another patron who was already eating and at least had service. Terrible experience not sure this is ever going to be worth the wait. Sad since we were really looking forward to finally getting to eat here.

The food gets 5 stars (even though prices went up, & portions are a bit smaller)
The service is HORRIBLE..we asked 3 people for ketchup and no one not even our waitress seemed to really care enough to bring it. Our server never came to check on us, the one time she did, is
when we asked for ketchup, never saw her again until we were completely done eating. I had to literally flag a busser down to get another glass of water. Never experienced such slow, inattentive service, even management seemed off.

Food is okay but you wait a ridiculous amount of time. Understaffed and the staff they do have are incredibly inefficient
