Hoy Lechon - Asian Inspired BBQ

Went up there for some waves, caught it good after some energetic breakfast grinds from this food stand. Then again for lunch for some protein recovery. Good and spicy. Dig their eggs and rice. Best chicken I’ve ever had. Will return 🤙🏽

Genuinely the best food on the island and some of the best cuisine I’ve ever had! I definitely recommend the pork adobo… but everything there is great!

Biggest and tastiest Kalbi ribs that I have had. Large portions of food with the rice and pacit sides. The cebuchon was out of this world tasty. Will be back before we leave to go home

Edit: went back and my favorite was a special, the pork adobo. Also the whole chicken is huge

If you've never been here, you NEED to!
After months of only driving by on Sundays or being in a hurry to get where I was going, I'd FINALLY gotten a chance to stop by and grab some of this amazing smelling food.
My daughter and I got the chicken skewers, noodles, beef ribs, pork ribs, and spring rolls.
Being a picky eater, I was worried I'd just bought all of this food and my daughter would not eat much..
It took a slight bit of time for the food to cook, but considering they cook it on a grill right there, made to order.. the timing is nothing!
The couple that run this place are so sweet and such down to earth people, they make waiting seem like no time! Good conversation all the way around.
Once the food was done, it was time for my baby and me to eat up.. let me tell you, this picky eating child ate a bit of everything and enjoyed it all!
There was one moment where I thought she was going to bury me alive because I had the nerve to take a bite of her noodles! Lol
We've passed by here when they're closed, and she gets mad at ME for it!
Came back today and they remembered us. Ordered spring rolls, chicken skewers, and some stuff I can't pronounce and they've done it again! Such good food from some pretty cool people. I'd give 100 stars if I could. Excellent food, excellent service, and for the quality of the meals their prices are on point too.

I give this more than 5 stars!! If you have the chance, please stop by. Their food is so good that they run out quickly! That should tell you something. My fiance and I got the two meat platters which gave us a chance to try almost everything, and I have nothing bad to say about it. I was just in food heaven!

Who doesn't love a local food truck that is open all year long? The food at this unassuming location is the best and most interesting Asian food in the Outer Banks. Bar none, no questions.

Thai Room has good Thai food, Single Fin has good thai and sushi, but this place has Korean, Filipino, and Malaysian flavors. Just superb.

Definitely worth seeking out and recommending to others.

We were so excited to try the food on this super cute food truck! As a lover of Filipino and Asian inspired foods, I was looking forward to trying as many of the foods as possible. Everything was delicious! We popped everything open as soon as we got it so we could taste it fresh. The cebu lechon was so fantastic(skin was crispy and light and the meat was super tender). The combo meal comes with white rice and a Hawaiian inspired macaroni salad. The lumpia aka spring rolls are fried fresh. Noodles and garlic fried rice made fresh. Can’t wait to come back!

It's awesome to have a taste of home! Kuya Wendell and his crew are very accommodating, super nice and very efficient. Food was served hot and the wait time was not bad at all! The serving is more than i expected, the pancit noodle plate with shanghai and bbq (for ze hubz) can be good for two people. We'll be back to try the other items on the menu!

Outstanding food and the owner was incredibly nice and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the food options as he willingly described each menu option and even gave our kids some free toys. We will definitely be back before we head out of the OBX.

We ate at this fantastic food truck located in Rodanthe. If you haven't tried it, you better get on over there and check them out. Their food was the best we've had on the OBX. The owner is the right man for the job; with a big smile and culinary skills to match. We will be back soon!!

So delicious! Had high expectations after reading the reviews. I’ve eaten lots of Filipino and Asian food growing up in SF. This is among the best. Highly recommend.

The Spare Ribs were cooked perfectly, very tender and juicy, and expertly seasoned with interesting and complex spices and flavors. The noodles were amazingly flavorful. The Macaroni Salad was out of this world...best I've ever had, different but familiar. The owner was very nice. You can tell that this man loves what he does. I hope that he is truly living his dream. Do not pass this place by. 5 Stars.

Great Philippine food truck! We got the pork special with noodles. Great dish, flavor is epic. Sat at the market to eat.

This was my first time trying Filipino food and omgggggggg it was some of the best food I’ve ever had !! We got the Cebuchon and their daily special (adobo ribs ) with Pancit , lumpia and white rice. The portions are also amazing , one meal fed two of us and we probably could’ve used one more person to help us finish . If you’re thinking of stopping by , do it !!

My husband and I were recommended by some of the locals to try the pork belly dish. I can say without a doubt the BEST pork belly ive ever ever ever had! So juicy!! That glass like crunch on the skin and rendered fat to a butter-like consistency! There is a lot of love, honor and backbone to this chef and his food. Love of food, Honor to his families legacy, and true culinary perfection in structure of his cooking! The Ramen and simple white rice is the most flavorful, satisfying and warm without the American salt. If you are visiting anywhere close to the Outer Banks, head toward Hatteras Island and visit this absolute Gem!!

Absolutely 5 stars! If you feel overwhelmed or unsure of the menu the staff will be sure to walk you through the best choice for you. I had pork and chicken skewers and they were amazing. Next time I’m going for the ribs or the short ribs!

I've been three times now, and each time has been insanely good. Fast, friendly service and absolutely delicious food! Current favorite Adobo Special.
