Was in for New Year’s Eve and it was a great time! Bar tender was super nice and friendly! Got a strawberries and whipped cream which were delicious. Also the espresso martini was delicious as well.

The food was Spectacular! Everything was fresh made and the atmosphere was top class. The Avocado egg rolls were to die for. Not to mention Lexy my bartender made some of the best drinks in the metro and was so pleasant! 6/5 if I could

Great food and some interesting options - try the pamme frites! Great cocktails as well with some rotational specialties. It's always a good time here. Especially when they have live jazz playing.

Love the new spaces aesthetic! It was romantic and inviting. The food was good and drinks were amazing! The Saturday we went I had live jazz music. Definitely will be going back

I love this place. The lights and the music with the alcohol and the foood! The truffled mushrooms are delicious, with the queso fundido. They have live performances every Saturday, I think. I will be returning!

This is the new location of a East Village favorite and legend. Across from Blazing Saddles it aims for a classic vibe with giant portraits of Bridget Bardot, Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant etc. The new look is cozy and romantic. The big selling point is live jazz on the weekends in east village!

What a wonderful place to visit! We had the pleasure of being waited on by Bradley, and he was the perfect host.

A solid East Village venue, and you need to try this place at least once. Atmosphere is unique with cool decore.

Eat local!

Wow! Amazing food, and the shared plates are perfect for two. Visited during lunch on a weekday, and quickly got seated. Their melon prosciutto bruschetta is wonderful, and the spicy meatballs great. I wish the poutine would have had more cheese, but still tasted good. Highly recommended!

I don't know where to start, atmosphere was great, food was great, drinks were great but I don't have enough good things to say about my server, Adrina. It got extremely busy the night I was in and despite her being the only server there she absolutely rocked it, made sure my glass was never empty. If you're in the neighborhood, ask for her!!

Love the atmosphere, friendly service. They are reallly busy so understandably there’s a bit of a wait on service,but the food and drinks are worth the wait. The blackened tilapia sandwich and their avocado egg roll were AMAZING!!! Had a watermelon popper cocktail and it was very refreshing,. Can’t wait to go back and try other cocktails and other menu items.

What a great new location! Food was delicious! We shared the Avocado Eggrolls and BBQ Chicken Flatbread. Also enjoyed the Basil Smash and Vodka Village. Server was attentive and prompt.

The truffled mushrooms were amazing. I also got the melon prosciutto crosonti. The melon was ripe and perfect for a summer dish. For a drink I got a blueberry basil drink . Very refreshing. I was greeted immediately. The atmosphere was very chill and clean.

A fantastic cozy bar in the east village. The bartender Sierra made us an amazing drink we like to call it the "Sierra Special" that is not on the menu but we fell it should be because it is amazing.

The was a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere, great neighborhood and a the bacon cheeseburger flat bread I ordered was nothing short of delicious. The service was fast and friendly, and the drink menu was adventurous and tasty. I will most definitely be back.

Great, creative cocktails in a lovely setting. The bar was founded in 2005, and somehow the interior feels like the exact embodiment of that point in time. I'd be equally happy stopping in for a quick drink or staying for hours with a crowd of friends.

Upscale place to meet for a drink with friends … wine and spirits generally more than beer but do offer beer .. great plates to share !! Have light music later on weekends.

We were fortunate to find The Continental on our first day of a long weekend in DesMoines. From the minute we walked in the door, it just felt right. Excellent bar and food options (reasonably priced), friendly, knowledgeable staff, nice atmosphere, free music at night. Located in the heart of the very fun East Village neighborhood. Very comfortable place to hang out or linger over dinner. Not too noisy. "Our place" in DesMoines.

The best place in Des Moines for a happy hour cocktail (and good appetizers/small plates to go with them). Bar none. For those who like live jazz, also a great choice, though sometimes somewhat loud and crowded on weekends.

Great Cocktails, Good Service, and very good food. Happy they’re back and look forward to going there more often in the future!
