As a professional book nerd (librarian) I can honestly this may be my FAV quirky, creepy, vintage/new cool bookstore on the planet. Wander to the empty back room where the odd misfit books sit waiting and find a gem. Then buy that gorgeous new book on starlings and pet the resident reptile or dog in the way out.

Loved everything about this bookstore. It was so fun to browse the shelves. It's organized in such a fun, spirited way that you don't just come in to find a book and leave. Instead, you find yourself wanting to search every shelf for fun finds. The proprietor was incredibly friendly and has decorated the store with many amazing artifacts from around the world. Can't go wrong visiting this shop. We could have spent way more time than we did! It's also in a neat area to stroll around.

Love this store, and so does the rest of my family. They have something for everyone. The selection is great, the layout/design is fun, and the employees/owners are always helpful. Also love that it is a local book atore

I've come here twice now on Saturdays and really like it. The vibe inside I great and I love all of the interesting books they carry. I always find something to bring home.

They have so many random books that I tend to wander the store, and I have to start over and do each aisle again. Also, they are helpful in discussing books

I love this place. It's got it all: used books at great prices; new books that are strange, interesting, and unique; and lots of rare first editions and limited prints at reasonable prices. They also buy books, so it's a great place to offload stuff you don't read anymore or if you want an easier alternative to selling online. Check them out; you won't be disappointed.

My family had a fantastic time combing through the shelves and looking at all the curios. Fun atmosphere. We felt welcome right away. Staff was wonderful. And the best part is I found copies of my favorite niche comic/novel series Modesty Blaise! Incredibly reasonably priced in my opinion, given it’s a vintage series from the UK. A gem of a bookstore.

When you're in need of some gravity in the form of a good book this is the place to look. I am grateful it exists. Well loved dog included.

So. Awesome. Perfect place for any bibliophile, they have subjects and sections for everyone and the prices are extremely reasonable. This will be the first of many times I will be buying here.

A must stop bookstore in Spokane for all the books you need or didn’t think you did. Each time I go in I leave with a small stack. The bookstore has books separated by topics and/or author. My favorite sections are the ons on expeditions and geography. This bookstore is like asking a friend for a book recommendation and your friend giving you a well thought out list. Much appreciate this bookstore. Admittedly the highlight is seeing how the plant and cacti are doing. Awhile back the owner had made cuttings of one of the cacti and I was able to purchase a cutting of fence (?) pole cactus. Love this place. Highly recommend. My only suggestion would be more cactus cuttings 😂

I Love to browse this store. I can usually find older Warhammer 40k books. Good place to stock up on the classics, and comic books. The owner is a nice guy, and you get some nice pets with his dog.

Wow a hidden Gem in Spokane! Best book store around with great customer service by the owner. I felt like going in here was an experience not just a bookstore. Really appreciate places like this that think outside the box. I would expect a place like this in a bigger city but it’s here in Spokane. I could have spent hours in here. Support your local bookstore!

Just recently discovered this place (which is fair, as it's only fairly recently opened), and already in love. Such an incredible collection of rare, unusual, and interesting books. Yeah, there are shelves after shelves of your standard reading material, but where this place shines is in the unusual. Whether you're looking for an obscure hundred year old print of a classic Milton or Dante, or a comprehensive collection on Russian prison tattoos, you'll find it here!

What a nifty book store! I stopped by here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the selection of books that they had in stock. They also had vintage games and cool art and decorations for sale. Definitely will be back!

Been here twice now looking for Marvel trades (collected comics in book form) - both times I've walked away happy. I don't know where they are sourcing their books from but they are even cheaper than online retailers and way cheaper than big box stores. Very cool place.

The Nerd really is Giant! The greeter is a super friendly dog. After petting the dog, I found the owner of the store lounging in a chair and he helped me look for a popular book. Despite him not having the book on hand, I think this book store is one of the best I've been to in Spokane. They are more of a used book store and don't seem to carry a big stock of brand new popular books. Instead, they have a million used popular books (and more esoteric books). I will be back, if not just to play with the dog.
