We are regulars here and it is our local go to for Mexican Food. I'm not certain on its authentcity but the food is outstanding. We are vegetarian and they have a separate vegetarian menu which is extremely expansive. We love going on either wednesday or thursday for kids eat free and unlimited enchiladas nights respectively. There are other Mexican joints in town but this place gets an A+.

This was our first time checking out LunaZul, and my wife and I were both pretty pleased with the fun decor, reasonable prices, good service and delicious food. The complimentary chips were nice and warm and the salsa had just the right amount of spice. We both ordered coffee, and it was brewed fresh and was the perfect strength of brew. For the main course, I got Mi Pueblo and my wife ordered enchiladas. The chicken that came with Mi Pueblo was tender and not overcooked or dry, and the flavors were well balanced in both of the entrees. Our server, Abby, was friendly, professional and attentive. We would definitely stop by again the next time we're in Hampstead.

Absolutely delicious food and funky/interesting decor/vibe. The chips and salsa were fresh. My husband and I got the elote, best I've had in the DMV area. My Bloody Mary was good, lacking any type of flair. I got the Meat Lovers Torta, juicy and delicious. All the flavors complimented each other extremely well. My husband got the Burro Fajita w/steak. Also super yummy and packed with flavor. 10/10 would recommend!

Went a couple of months ago and I still keep telling people about their street quesadillas. The only thing that could have been better was the seating quality. Chairs were a bit uncomfortable but I guess when the food is that good they don’t really want you to stay longer

We stopped in for tapas and a drink. Great tapas menu. Wife had a watermelon mojito which she has been looking for. Chicken tamale and empanada were excellent. Chips and salsa upon arrival. Staff was very friendly and on top of everything. Place is very clean and the atmosphere is appropriate. I look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.

Best Mexican in the area, love the staff. Anyone saying else doesn't know. Great small local business. Eaten here 5-6 times now, never a complaint, food is amazing! Chile En Nagada is my Wife's favorite, I love the burritos and have had seasonal specials, tacos burritos, all amazing. Kids love the food!

I visited LunaZul for a late lunch after church on Sunday, 11/19. The hostess seated us promptly and provided us with chips and salsa. I learned the chips and salsa are both made in-house; salsa was very good and just the right amount of heat. I normally do chicken enchiladas but decided to try the Yucatecas Enchiladas...OMG - they were so good! The cabbage and pickled onions/jalapenos topping the enchiladas was a first for me; didn't know what I was missing!
Since I love mole sauce I just had to try their weekend special...Mole Tamal. It was wonderful; sweet and savory (told my family I was "in heaven" after the first bite). You should definitely try both entrees.
Special shout out to Abby, our waiter and bartender, for taking such great care of us! Very enjoyable experience with my family.

Small Mexican place with great staff and menu. They have about a dozen Mexican tapas (small plates) that make it fun to try a few different items and stretch out your meal. The $5 happy hour margaritas were great.

You won't find a better Mexican restaurant in or around Carroll County! The owners Cheri and Tony are great and Jorge is a culinary genius! Not to mention the margaritas are to die for! We highly recommend you check them out!

Chef Jorge and his creations and cuisine are amazing and delicious. We are never disappointed when we go and are always planning our next visit.

Easily the best Mexican in the area. Not that that's saying a whole lot, but from someone who spent 6 years in San Antonio, it's genuinely good. The Carne Asada was the best I've had since I moved back to MD.

First visit to Luna Zul. Great experience. Greeted by Zachary who was also our server. A very good one, I must add. Very personable, efficient and helpful with suggestions. He also made us great Margaritas. The menu was quite extensive with a very nice variety. There's even the choice for either "Street style" (authentic Mexican) or Tex-Mex (more Americanized). They truly aim to please. The complimentary salsa was delicious, the chips were fresh and not salty or greasy. I chose 2 items from the Tapas menu: a grilled shrimp soft taco and a tostada with their signature cochinita pibil. Both were fresh, hot and perfectly prepared. I enjoyed every bite. Tapas is just perfect if you want to sample a few different items. My husband had traditional ground beef tacos which he said were excellent. He also had the Flan for dessert which was decadently delicious and beautifully presented. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food was evident. We even got to meet the chef and compliment him on his talents! We will definitely be back to this gem of a find. Hampstead is fortunate to have such a great, authentic Mexican restaurant.

All I wanted was a good Margherita, after a lot of days on the bike. What we got was off the charts wonderful food. The place is in a strip mall. It has gotten a bad rep for poor service and a good rep for great food. Our service was as good as it could be as they were slammed on a week day night. This might tell you something about how good the plates are. Go here. Ignore their faults. Enjoy the incredible, delicious, really, really good food. And have a classic Margherita.

If you like great food, staff who remember you from visit to visit, and tacos you e found the right place. We’ve been coming for several years and the food is always good. The margs are always tasty and we love the variety of specials each weekend.

If you are in the mood for Mexican food you can’t go wrong.

I've been here three times now, and I've had a great experience each time. The classic margarita is really nice, and I recommend the for seasons enchiladas. Also, don't miss out on the flan! This is the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in a decade in Maryland, and it must be the best Mexican restaurant in Carroll county!

I had the street tacos, and they were great. Husband had the chimichanga, and it was great. But we’re not here to talk about that. We’re here to talk about THE DESSERT. I had the Sweet Jorge - Mexican fried bread sweetened with cinnamon and sugar with ice cream and a caramel drizzle, and let me tell you - I saw god. This might be the best dessert I’ve EVER had.

Absolutely love this place! I ordered the chicken poblanos and they were delicious! The bartender made an awesome Mezcal old fashioned and that was the best I have ever had! Also very knowledgeable of all types of tequilas and specialty drinks. The service was great and everyone is always smiling! You won’t be disappointed

This wonderful Mexican restaurant on Main Street in Hampstead, Maryland is a little gem. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. There is also plenty of it so you won’t leave hungry. They bring out the most delicious tortilla chips and salsa as soon as they come to your table to take your order so it’s like an instant appetizer. Highly recommend!

Our first visit. Chips and spicy salsa to wet your appetite. One dip was enough for me. Sam helped us order from the menu. She was a little forgetful but, didn’t affect our evening negatively. She was very friendly and it was close to closing time. The menu is flavorful without hot spices for those who do not prefer heat. However there are enough dishes that are marked spicy. Great food looking forward to our next visit to try the tapas selections. From today, I ordered the chicken quesadilla. It’s stuffed with veggies as well. I thought it would fall apart but, it didn’t. So good! I took half home, couldn’t eat all in one sitting. My son ordered quesadilla from children’s menu. He wanted another, I think because of flavor not because he was still hungry because he ate the rice that comes on the side as well. Hahaha. My husband ordered the Tejano Sampler. He enjoyed it. It wasn’t marked spicy but, he does like spicy on everything but, he still liked the flavors.
