I know nothing about firearms and stopped in to research my next novel (set in a hunting county). I was surprised to receive a warm welcome, along with an education. Brian Sikes and the owner Mike Bullock took time from their duties to explain riffles and share their knowledge of everything from game to OBX history. They are experts and should be treasured by locals and tourists alike. When you stop by, be sure to pet Panda, a dog as friendly as his owners.

Bought my first shotty here. I love it! Ammo prices were great. I've now been to every gun shop from the VA border to Manteo. I'll be back. Another reviewer mentioned Panda the German Shepard. I found her a delightful addition to my shopping experience.

When you first walk in to OBX Guns your are greeted by Panda a extremely friendly and playful dog. He will bring you a toy grenade for you to throw for him. Even if you don’t buy anything the dog is worth the trip. The prices are much better than Reds or Mackeys when it comes to firearms, ammo or accessories. They have a good selection of firearms from used to new. They have some good historical firearms for sale as well, one notable mention is a Mosin-Nagant which was hard to leave without buying for the price. They also have some cool hot sauces and beef jerky. First time buying a firearm from this place but it went smoothly and they were extremely friendly. Asked if we needed anything but we’re not hovering over you while you shopped like in some firearm retailers I’ve been to. Worth the stop.

It's simply the best around. Knowledgeable, well stocked ammo, nice selection of firearms, always something new and they have the best customer service. It's a pleasant shop all around.

Awesome place to do business, very friendly staff and great prices, bought a Savage .22 I have been looking for while and couldn't beat the price they had listed on it, also bonus they have a very friendly german shephard named Panda who loves attention, I highly recommend anyone looking firearms, ammo or supplies to come check this place out!
