This place is great. Very clean and refreshing atmosphere. Service is great and food comes out really fast. The food here is so good. Everything we got was cooked to perfection. The fried food was not overdone. The fish was very moist and tender. The shrimp were tender and not too chewy. The portions are good size too. I was amazed at how big the shrimp are that you get with your meals. The oyster po boy is one of my favorites. I ate here with 9 other guys and they were all full and happy when we left and we will definitely be back to try some more. Highly recommend.

This place is soooo good 🤤 me and my boyfriend ate here today, he got the shrimp w catfish and I got a chicken po boy. We got fried pickles and hush puppies. We ended up just sharing it all and it was amazing. I definitely recommend this place. Not only were the ladies super nice but the atmosphere was so comforting and clean. The music was lovely too. If you want a good spot to eat, go here.

My mom and I went there yesterday, we are both born and raised in South Louisiana, so this Cajun food is the food we know. First thing that caught my eye was the “Sam’s sauce” so I had to try it on a crawfish poboy and some hush puppies. I’m pretty sure it’s roumalade sauce, and it was zesty and spicy and had a nice kick, so it’s a must to try! I hadn’t had hush puppies that small before, but they were very good, and the crisp on the outside was perfect. My crawfish poboy was really pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had, but I’m comparing it to a New Orleans one and I don’t think that I could even do one better than the New Orleans chefs do, but still very tasty! My mother had the fried oyster poboy and green beans. The oysters were very yummy and big! Very small issue with over-breading them and over frying, it’s small but makes a big difference, so my suggestion would be to coat them a little lighter with your breading and then fry till golden. Last but not least…. I had the sweet tea and my mom had the unsweetened tea w/stevia and they were both absolutely perfectly delicious . We will be back to try the fried green tomatoes, the crawfish boil, and I’m hoping much more.

P.S. they do blast Christian radio, which my mom liked, but not me so much, it was lucky I had ear pods so I put my own music on, even my mom said it was loud though, lol.

To the owners: Hi! you have a lovely place with food that I enjoyed, TJ was a kind, attentive, host, and he DEFINITELY needs a raise, hehe. Really though, we absolutely enjoyed his company. Your restaurant looks to be having a great start and I’m excited to see the this restaurant do well once everything settles. One small piece of advice though, not everyone is a Christian or wants their children hearing Christian music while trying to eat, so if you’d like it to be for everyone and for everyone to feel comfortable and welcome, maybe a variety of different music a few Christian songs in there would be fine too, and turn it down a bit? I’d also love to tell my friends too, and I know some who don’t mind and I have some who just wouldn’t be able to go. So, anyway it’s a suggestion, because I’m already excited to go back! When I do I’ll update this review. Thank you for the wonderful food!

From day one, I was hooked, literally! The fried catfish is soooo delicious. It's well seasoned and fried to perfection. I've had the chicken wings, chicken tenders, red beans and rice, green beans and of course, the fries. My daughter has had the fried and grilled jumbo shrimp, which she enjoys. I look forward to exploring the other menu offerings, especially the Philly Cheesesteak, but my heart belongs to the catfish. The staff are all so friendly, which makes the experience all the more pleasurable. See yall soon! Best food since we left Denver!

Ordered on the phone, was ready when we arrived. Food was so delicious. Best catfish I've ever had hands down. Shrimps better than red lobster. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Thank you, Emmanuel! Shoutout to Favor and Nardia!

This restaurant made a significant highlight in our short trip to Salina, Kansas. The ambience, setting and neatness of the interior are enough stimulators for a good eating experience. The service is superb; welcoming, respectful and prompt. And the food is wowza!!! Their red beans and rice is a must try! The fish and fries were properly seasoned and well done!
If I could package the restaurant in my little pocket to always have close by, I would.

Go check them out!!!

I love to eat here! I haven't found anything yet that I don't like and that saying much for someone that grew up around the Chesapeake Bay. The crabcakes here are so delicious! They're different than any I've eaten. They're thin, but crispy and flavorful! I could go on and on!

The food is always fresh and hot
My husband and I split a 4 piece fish dinner and I get grilled and he gets fried. Always plenty to eat. Favorite place to eat whenever we are in Salina.

I'm from Louisiana, so I've eaten at the original location and this does not disappoint. The food and restaurant are fantastic, but the staff take the cake. Friendly service with a smile is an understatement. Highly recommend!

I strongly suggest trying out Sams Southern Eatery. My family and I went there for dinner tonight, which happened to be their first night open. The food was hot and tasty, and the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. We had such a good experience that we're already planning to go back again soon!
