Darrell's Diner

A busy diner serving the Village’s area. Good coffee and quick service are a hallmark of a diner like this. Prices are right in line with normal. Add a little southern charm and you feel very comfortable from the git go. The food was great. Served hot and fresh.

Brianna was handling the restaurant of about 5 full tables plus the counter and managed to get to all of us in a timely manner plus handle timely refills, etc. The cook, she saud, was Mike and the food came out perfectly to order with nothing burned or undercooked, as can happen when several customers come in at once. One of my most enjoyable places to come as the servers are friendly, efficient, and attentive.

We have eaten at the one in Summerfield, Florida and Vicky was our server. Only had two waitresses on Mothers Day and these two girls worked their tail off with a smile on their faces snd were very friendly. Great service all the time. Food excellent and the place was very clean. Prices are good. Never had a bad meal. Also we eat at the one on LaPlaza Grande in the Villages. Same story.

Been looking for a place that serves an outstanding burger and fries in Florida now for several years. Finally found it! The quality of the beef was top-notch, and it appeared to be an 8 ounce patty, it was huge! Served on a buttered grilled bun with 2 slices of cheese and all the fixings. And the french fries were hand-cut potatoes, no seasonings, the way fries were meant to be served. If you’re near a Darrells, stop in, you won’t be disappointed. The service was fast and friendly, will be back soon.

Friendly staff, our waitress Brianna was very nice, friendly and fun. Food was delicious and fresh.

Great food as always. They have changed the menu though same good atmosphere. Stacey is an awesome waitress. She is always smiling and just makes you feel at home.

We found this place by accident and we were pleasantly surprised. The waitress was super sweet and struck up a conversation with my 9yr old. The menu is quite extensive for a small diner with a good variety. My 9yr old had a cheeseburger platter which she loved and I had a Reuben sandwich. The sandwich was absolutely delicious 😋 I did ask for half onion rings and half fries and I feel I was jipped, especially for the pice lol the carrot cake wasn't the prettiest slice on the plate but it was HUGE and rich for only like $2-$3. Both my daughter and I had our filling and had more than half to take home. All in all, the food was good and the service was excellent. I'll be going back!

Treated like garbage. Sat down, waited a while. Only 3 other people there. Waitress finally came to me and told me she will be back with menu and coffee. Returned with half cup of coffee and no menu. Another 8 to 10 minutes passed, finally got menu. Brought my order, half of it wrong. Never brought refill for another 10 minutes, and brought regular instead of decaf. I asked for bill and I was angry. This waitress ignored me to talk to other workers there. Kept talking and talking, horrible service.
This was the Summerfield, FL. store.

If you love the warm atmoshere and good food you get in a local diner, this is the place for you. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. The food (breakfast) was good, no complaints. I would definitely return.

Got a Philly cheese steak from this place and got to say probably one of the best cheesesteaks I've had in many years staff were extremely friendly very polite I think I'm going to start coming here weekly now highly suggest Darrels diner

We've been to the Daryl's at Lady lake, however this was our first time eating at this particular one, everything was delicious, Larry our waiter was great.

Our breakfast was delicious and Cindy was awesome. It was a very enjoyable experience!!

First time here but not the last . Staff are very friendly and helpful . Very clean and happy atmosphere.

Consistently good food, good service and low prices. I eat at different Darrell's and every location is just as good as the other one. Very clean too which is hughe with me at any restaurant.

It's hard for me to love a hamburger 🍔 I didn't make myself because I have been cooking my favorite finger foods all of my life even as a young child at around 6 years old and I have perfected what I love about hamburgers!
My cooking at such a young age drove my mother crazy!
So having said this I am one of the worst when it comes to rating a commercial dinner hamburgers because I have perfected what I like and no one can do it like I can in my opinion...
Eating out is very expensive these days and I can prepare meals for myself and my wife for 2 to3 days for the cost of one outside meal.
Having said this you can assume I don't eat out much lately.
I ordered what I would call a Burger deluxe without cheese and it came with any side I wanted so I had French fries and I did really like the fries very much!
The Burger could have been a little more to my personal taste but it was very acceptable however In my opinion it needed a bit more work for the cost of it to make it a better value and a great experience for the price $$$
The coffee ☕ cost $2.99 with free refills so at the end of the day my lunch cost me almost $14.00 dollars...
I would like to see restaurants like Darrell's offer retired people on fixed incomes a lunch special discount as this would have eased the pain a bit and made this meal a better value at the end of the day!!!
Overall it was a good experience but not a great value for the cost of it but a good value overall considering the cost of living these days.
The bottom line is Darrell's Diner supports the community by providing Job training for people who need help entering the work place so I can say this is a wonderful business for the community to support at the end of the day so its a great place to eat at.

We enjoyed breakfast and lunch there. We love diners. Down home cooking, looks good and tastes good and plenty to eat.

Had an early lunch at the diner ! near Belks off of 441 and the tuna melt and sweet potato fries were excellent!!! I have had breakfast many times and have been pleased but this was very good. I will go back for lunch again😍
