Former owner of 701 Drive-in opened the Etna Diner in Courthouse square. They serve classic American food: short order breakfast, burgers, fries, dogs, etc… they also do a wonderful southern style lunch special on weekdays. Building is small, but eating in is possible. Drive through is busy for the rush hours. Call ahead and pickup is available.

Breakfast diner owned & operated by 2 Whiteville locals. It's a nice hang out for people to enjoy some conversation or hit the drive-thru and go. The fresh link sausage is excellent. Ignore the whiner reviews. Etna Diner is quirky, but always good.

Great Steak sandwiches but get them before about to close as they taste much better.
Fries kindve mushy not crisp.

If you’re looking for old school burgers and hotdogs at a fair price then look no further. I haven’t had burgers this good since I was a child. I highly recommend this restaurant. And food prep is very quick. No long lines because they have a speedy system in place. Negatives are that the parking is very limited. This is only because the area around the building was developed after establishment and have squeezed them in but the drive thru moves quickly. Also they close at 2pm which is a little early for me. But overall, I think it’s a great place and I hope to see you there.

impossible to order food through the drive through.. person taking order gives an attitude because their intercom/speaker is inaudible

Called a diner for breakfast food, asked for breakfast food. Lady says “who do you think you’re calling baby.” No thanks, should’ve listened to previous reviews.
