went for a visit to see George Aloi the owner of Tempvs ,,
i have purchased several time pieces from him , all of which i still own today .. as usual he was pleasant and a plethora of information ,, he advices you even if you do not purchase that day. You see George is a collector first and is in reality sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm .. majority of his pieces are the best examples in existence at fair if not under market value ..

Great vintage watch shop with a very knowledgeable owner. Told us some great stories from his time in the business over the years. Has a really nice selection of watches, was happy to tell me about them in detail and let me try them on with no pressure to buy. I didn’t purchase a watch on this occasion but will be back next time I’m in NYC. Would highly recommend!

George was very nice and definitely took his time describing every detail needed to be sure about keeping up with your vintage pieces, this gentleman really knows his stuff and the watches are phenomenal and well priced thank you for your time!

I would seriously give zero stars if the option was available. After seeing the 5 star reviews, I decided to visit this store, being a watch enthusiast myself. To my utter dismay, the store owner paid absolutely no attention to my presence. It was as if someone had given him a dare 2 minutes earlier to give as little attention as physically possible to the next customer (unfortunately, me). He would reply to my questions with one or few words, all delivered with minimal enthusiasm. I was wearing a Rolex myself so I can’t even think that he gave me no attention because he thought I was not a serious watch person. While I was conversing with him, he decided to start doing something else with a colleague and completely ignore me. Not just that, he went as far as to make a call to someone and have a full conversation on the phone, without so much as looking towards me. Obviously, I left immediately after this without saying a word to him. I would never consider returning here. I’d rather get a Rolex from Mr. Wilsdorf himself. In short, the owner of this store had a horrible attitude as if he was doing us a favor by being there.

Guy at the counter couldn’t care any less about selling his watches.
