Tavern on the Lake

Loved the food and we had excellent service. Great portions. I personally think the prices are comparable to the cost and the cool atmosphere. This is unlike any restaurant we’ve ever had in Hobart, and in the best way. We will absolutely be back.

I have dined twice at this establishment first time 45 minutes to kitchen closing restaurant is packed. For a new restaurant this is the acid test staff and owners kept up executed promptly on customer orders estimate they did 100 plus turns in the kitchen time left. Holly was my server both times and I believe one of the co owners. Despite being in a full rush she took time to speak with all customers who approached her definitely a sign of a polished professional. The food was innovative well seasoned and tasted damn good. Stop in one night you will not be disappointed.

Doug and Jim had a special guest. She's amazing and only 12. Ashley will be a star one day

Such a beautiful restaurant with amazing food and friendly staff. The patio is now open for outdoor dining and it's so relaxing to sit out and view the lake. Their shrimp and grits is top tier and the mini mojitos were thr cherry on top of it all. You won't be disappointed.

We went in as a party of 8 on Saturday evening. We were seated right away. Our server was amazing (I’m sorry I forgot her name) . Food was hot and prompt. Our drinks never went empty. When we asked to change the channel on the TV closest to us so my husband could watch the playoff game, it was down almost immediately. We will definitely be back. Great night out !

Great food and excellent service. I took my wife here and we will definitely be going back. Highly recommend going here if you haven't already definitely worth it.

Tavern on the Lake has been a great addition to downtown Hobart. Service is good and the food is fresh and delicious. Cocktails are yummy. Prices are a bit higher than other places around downtown Hobart but at least it doesn’t smell like smoke and musty like others. Family friendly environment. Kids are welcomed.

This is the new hangout in Hobart IN. A place where everybody knows your name. Is a lot of regulars go here. I am not one of them but I always feel Welcome.
They offer a big variety of food.
That is very diverse and everything i've had is really good.

New, Started two weeks ago. First experience there and was surprised with cleanliness, Hospitality and great food/service. Food came quick and at good quality. Renovated place with large bar area and lots of space. Recommended if you are in Hobart Area

Food is always delicious, service is friendly, cocktails were tasty, Deserts are heavenly!! They have a great selection from the tap & from the bar overall with a welcoming atmosphere.

My wife and I visited Tavern on the Lake August 2023. First time eating there. Jordan R. Was our server. She did a fantastic job. The food was great and the service was great. Clean establishment. We will visit again soon.

Alissa was our server and very good. Could answer all our questions and never needed to ask for a refill.

If you love burgers that are weird and delicious at the same time this is the place.
If you don't like burgers this is still the place, I will eat the entire menu and keep this updated. Current favorites Tommy two tones with brisket, cajin chicken bowl, Peyton burger

The food was fantastic I'm the kind of guy that likes something a little different then the ordinary but it's still got to be good and they nailed it definitely a go back to place

We were a bit skeptical after the negative reviews, but we still wanted to try them as we are local. Our friends are moving out of state and this was a farewell dinner.
I don't have money to open a restaurant, but I have MANY years of experience and success in food AND people! From what my party saw, the owners here (Tom and Holly?) spared no cost in design or location. 2 criteria that are detrimental to a restaurants success. Our server, Val was professional, fun and interactive. She kept enough distance to let us enjoy our company but close enough to answer our tables needs. If service was bad in the beginning, I assume it's an issue that's been addressed. Food was awesome! Wagyu beef meatloaf?! Poutine?! C'mon...Not on very many menus around here! I enjoyed The Book of Eli sandwich. Drinks are phenomenal! She wrote that menu well! We have yet to experience to patio as it just opened but we look forward to it. Thanks to you and your team! We will continue to patronize your business!
