I am in the process of building a new, residential home. I was completely lost on where to start to locate flooring for the house and tile for there showers and bathrooms.

I stopped into Homestead, due to a random recommendation by another customer I had met at Home Depot. I am very grateful for the recommendation.

The staff at Homestead was so welcoming and helpful. They were patient with me through the process, spent time understanding my style, and help guide while coordinate colors and textures. They even offered suggestions with the shower, I had never thought of, to help make the space as I had envisioned.

My overall experience was a 5 star! Highly Recommend

We used Homestead Flooring for the tile work in our master bathroom renovation. We were pleased with the variety and quality of their tile inventory. Their customer service representatives were friendly and professional, ready to help when needed, but also willing to let us look around on our own. The tilers were pleasant and professional, and worked hard to provide us with a job with which we would be happy. We found their pricing to be competitive with other local businesses and they completed the work in the time frame we expected. We were extremely happy and satisfied with the job and would use them again for future tiling projects.

As owner/publisher of a local newspaper and as the new owner of a historic building which has become the newspaper's headquarters, but was in need of a bit of TLC, I can't say enough about my experiences with Homestead Flooring. It started with Guy, whose joyfulness, professionalism and pure charisma have a lot to do with why I was certain right off the bat that I would be going with Homestead, despite the fact that I had to do my due diligence and get a few other estimates. (As it turns out, the estimate was extremely fair and that only helped my decision further.) Then when Tony and his crew showed up to begin installation, and as we discussed some of the finer details of the job and bounced around some possibilities, just knew I had to call the owner as well as write a review, because again, the vibe was just so warm and positive and professional. As a newspaper publisher who believes in supporting local businesses in every way possible, I am here to say that Homestead gets an unequivocal A+ from me!

First, I want to say the one employee I regularly worked with, Brie, was very professional and courteous. I have no problem with our interaction. However, when she went on leave for several weeks, communication between us and Homestead fell apart. Our tile was scheduled to begin on a certain day in August. I was told to disconnect dishwasher and gas oven. I did that and then two days before installation the owner called and told me the date would be pushed back a week--maybe-- and that they were having trouble hiring sub contractors. It seems they had bitten off more than they could chew--accepted contracts they could not fulfill in a timely manner. When I complained that they should have called me before I disconnected equipment, owner got mad at me for complaining and threatened to cancel my install and give me my money back. So I had to act nice and wait. Installation did not happen the 2nd week and my family were scheduled to be gone for a week. I called the business and only got the answer machine. I wanted to talk to someone to tell them we would be gone and where the key to the house would be. I also told them we were traveling internationally and that if there were any problems to call my wife's number. I called and called and left messages but no one called me back. Before we departed I called and told the answering machine where the key would be. So I was gone for a week and did not hear anything. No one called my wife. To her credit, Brie, still away, responded to my email inquiries and looked into the date of the installation. Sometime soon, I was told. When I entered American airspace, I turned on my phone and there was a voice mail from an installer who had shown up sometime the previous week and...wait for it...wanted to know where the key was. Expecting this would be a comedy of errors, I had left the back door purposefully unlocked and to his credit, the installer must have tried all the doors and gotten in. So I get back from vacation and expect my floor done and it's only covered with a base orange plastic. Unfortunately, the installer injured himself playing minor league football and was out of commission. So Homestead Tile had to find someone else to come out. We liked the installer and really like how the floor came out. We don't like that the job was several weeks over due and the inability for someone at the store to listen to an answer machine and call people back or communicate messages like where the key is. If Brie had been there, the experience would have been better. Still, a store should not rely on the competence of one employee to stay in business. Conclusion: We will never use this business again and neither should you. If you do use them, be sure to have a camp stove to use for cooking while your oven sits uselessly in the middle of the living room.

This company installed 3 large rooms of carpet. Apartment had just been painted. Only one person sent to install. Damage to paint everywhere. Every trim and window surface left filthy. Most of all because we informed them of situation……..they sent us a sarcastic letter asking us to use box stores where they send more than one person to install. Couldn’t believe it !!!!!!! People should be aware….. no room for constructive criticism. Still astounded at such rudeness and ignorance.
