Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge

Very nice clean place to take a walk on a nice weather and there is an icecream food truck at the beginning of the bridge plus lots of restaurants and cafes are close.

This bridge is really amazing when you just want to roam around the city, the view is awesome so definitely a great place for pictures.

Definitely the best place in Providence to catch a sunset. It is magical to see the skies turn pink and orange against the view of the city's skyline. It is especially nice because it has plenty of viewpoints and benches for everyone. The bridge is also conveniently located by a bunch of eateries like Plant City and Tizzy K's Ice Cream.

Beautiful walk to complete your little tour of Providence! Save it for golden hour

This bridge is so cool! Interesting woodwork, great views of the city skyline and lights up at night!

Its always bustling with activity, like kids playing, couples walking and even people group dancing to music when I went. You can see the seagulls, geese and even swan. There will also be the occasional motor boat and gondola with a couple sipping wine.

Lights turn on about 20-30 minutes after sunset. They kinda work their way from downtown, to the surrounding parks and finally the bridge lights up too.

Its a fun area. Can't go wrong in visiting.

Amazing views especially at night

A beautifully designed bridge with views overlooking the city of Providence. Easy road meter parking available.

If you’re looking for a short easy walk, this bridge is about .25 miles from one side to the other and back. in distance iPlenty of seating to accommodate anyone who needs frequent breaks or who just want to sit, relax and take in the views. as to to sit who need to rest during their walk.

If you want to extend your walk after the bridge to nearby areas, I suggest walking to the nearby India Point Park for additional waterscapes views and then head over to Wikenden Street for coffee or a bite to eat before returning back.

beautiful bridge and a nice addition to downtown. personally, I prefer it at nighttime, but some beautiful spring days also make it a scenic part of the city. still not sure how it cost $24million to build, but it is a great place to take a stroll, eat your lunch, or go on a first date.

It's very nice and peaceful place for a walk or bicycle ride. The nights are less crowded and plenty of sitting arrangements on the bridge.

Scenic river views of the city of Providence. RI . Great place to view the old and new architecture the city offers. Going North the river opens up to Waterplace Park.

I Love to fly my drone, launching from the bridge.. You can get some really amazing shots of the city lights at night.. Or you can turn around and fly out over the water for miles..
It is one of my favorite spots in the city to launch from, especially at night..
