The staff at Portside Marina are TOP NOTCH!! We spent two weeks there after losing our prop. Not only were they very helpful but they are the definition of “Southern Hospitality.” Next time we’re in the area we will definitely return.

Ray was the most personal dock hand and experience we have come across during our trip. Great experience as we trip up to the White Marlin Open.

I cant imagine how they could have been more accommodating. We showed up unannounced on a holiday weekend with mechanical issues and the whole team went out of the way to help. They called a diver, helped locate parts, and extended genuine hospitality. Ended up staying multiple days.

Extremely professional. A great place to keep your boat. They also sell fuel, service boats, beer and snacks in the boat house. Clean bathrooms

HANDS DOWN - this is one of the best marinas I've ever been to. The owner, Denard, is so personable and interesting that I could listen to his life's stories for days on end. Repair pricing was fair, and labor rates were cheaper than my home marina 4.5 hours away, inland, in SC. His staff is also very welcoming and accommodating even though we were just passing through and not "members" of the marina. I wish they were closer... Thanks again for being fair, honest, and friendly! And thanks for the fried mackerel!

We enjoyed five days at Portside Marina waiting for a weather window to complete our passage to Annapolis, MD. Really an exciting, fun and friendly marina and community. Lots to do nearby. Great provisioning, bike riding, walking, dining and opportunity to complete boat repairs. The staff is top notch. We are looking forward to our return visit.

In October 2019 unexpectedly got on the water late 6pm and needed fuel. Went to my tried and try marina for the past 5 years, The Boathouse Marina. Pulled up right @ 6pm & several dock hands milling around and I wiped my brow, whew JUST made it. Tied off and approached one of the guys to get gas. He said they have already cut the pumps. HUH? I was on empty. I asked what I was going to do. He said, "you have paddles!" NOT FUNNY! Boathouse Marina SUCKS! So I pushed off in search of fuel. Passed Beaufort. All were closed. Crossed fingers & luckily to make it to Morehead waterfront. Never been to Portside Marina but the TOWBOAT US boats were there so docked up. Sun setting on the horizon. Sweating bullets - fuel and daylight!!!! Waked past the pumps. Cut off! Oh no! Went to the door and it was locked. Heard a dog bark. Hope!!! An EXTREMELY nice gentleman approached as I asked for gas! His comment? "LET ME CUT THE PUMPS ON!" SAVED by Portside Marina! THANK YOU! Made it back to Salter Path and BOY was it DARK!
WOW!!!!

Now I want to repower. Who do you think I will call first to get a quote? Not The Boathouse Marina! ".... do you have paddles?" He said ~ lol!!!!

Awesome staff. Mr. Harris and Capt Thomas are the best. Great location in downtown Morehead City. Short ride on the boat to the ocean, Beaufort, and Shackleford island.

I just called Portside Marina because I was looking for a sailboat to rent. Even though they don't offer this, the guy gave me an excellent website as a resource that has many sailboats for rent. Wonderful customer service at Portside!

Very friendly and helpful. I was there with a hurricane approaching, despite all they had to do, they made sure everything I needed was taken care of.

Portside Marina is a family run business with first class service and friendly staff. Best value on the AICW. Free laundry and close to many fine resturants.

Amazing place to put a boat for temp and long-term storage. Also a great place to watch for Big Fish coming in from a daily catch.
