Can't really tell you about their food as I have only had cocktails here.

The cocktails are delicious. A bit on the boozy side. But I prefer mine that way.

The bar area is nice. It does get loud easily but you can't control that.

They seem to have something going on every day of the week. Trivia, music bingo and other typical bar events.

LEGIT biscuits and gravy! Staff is great!! Thankfully this place isn’t within walking distance or I’d be 600 lbs! LOL I will definitely be going back to try their other menu items.

Such a cool cafe with a creative theme! You won't be disappointed with the service, food, or coffee drinks. The biscuits are delicious.
Stumbled upon this place on a little vacation and came back the next day before leaving town!

Great place for breakfast/brunch. I had the breakfast burrito. It was delicious and the presentation was great. Also enjoyed my coconut matcha.

This is the best coffee shop around! I have had several different food items such as bagels, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, and brisket tacos. Everything has been so delicious and fresh. Additionally, every coffee beverage I've had here is delicious. The decor and atmosphere are very unique and cool, with comfy couches as well as regular tables and chairs, quirky art, and even board games to play! Finally, the service is friendly and quick. I highly recommend a visit the mug shot.

Best coffee I’ve had! Went here before the escape room next door and had the mugshot and the purgatory, both were very well balanced and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. After the escape room we came back and tried the southwest wrap And lavender honey latte. I’ve never tried lavender honey coffee before but it is now my new favorite thing. The southwest wrap was very flavorful, my only complaint was that the ingredients weren’t well balanced throughout both halves of the wrap. I recommend asking to mix the ingredients up to avoid this. I definitely recommend you check this place out!

Probably the best meal we had all week during our stay. Friendly and helpful staff, quick service especially for the quality of the food. We enjoyed the breakfast bowl with chorizo and the salmon toast, both excellent. They had a selection of games and books which kept our kids entertained while we enjoyed our meal. The coffee drinks were also unique and delicious. A new favorite find!

Cool shop their food was really good and the service was really good coffee was probably the best I’ve had well here on vacation I would probably give the coffee 4 stars over all great

Mug Shot is a great coffee shop with a bar and food.
The food is delicious. A little pricey but not out of line for the high quality of the food and the relaxing atomosphere.
I have had great, friendly service 100% of the time.
It is clear they are customer focused!

This is one of the more fancy spots in Morehead City. Fun art on the wall, lots of fancy coffee equipment behind the counter, and the best service we had on our beach trip hands down. All of the staff seemed happy to be at work, that's a rarity! I'd highly recommend this place if you're headed to or from Atlantic Beach.

We stopped in for a local coffee on our way home from a beach day and seafood dinner, and felt we found a hidden gem!

I ordered the bourbon brown sugar latte. (non-alcoholic)
So, sooo good! My husband got the latte churro and said it tasted just like one.

Yummy, and quickly made, with friendly service! Great feel and vibe inside. They were setting up for live music!

Highly recommend trying them, and can’t wait to stop in again when we can stay longer.

Super eclectic industrial vibes at Mug Shot.

Stopped by for a quick bite and coffee. Achieved both! The americano was very very good! I also ordered a BLT wrap. I enjoyed it even though I’m not a huge fan of sweet mayo. The small salad was really good. The servicer was very friendly!

I’d definitely stop by again the next time I’m in town.

I had a biscuit, bacon, and grits. All of the food was cooked perfectly. The biscuit was buttery and moist, not to mention huge! The bacon was perfectly crisped, and the grits were of GREAT quality....which isn't common at breakfast joints around town.
My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito with chorizo and a cardamom latte, and they both tasted SO good! I like that the syrup is house made...and likely not full of unhealthy ingredients. Can't wait to try drinks and dinner sometime!

I had a really great first experience getting coffee here this morning for the first time!

This is an interesting establishment. We ended up here looking for some local coffee and were surprised to find that they had other beverages and food as well. We got our drinks to go but during our wait noticed a cozy little corner full of games, puzzles, and other activities that would be great for hanging out with friends. Our coffees were good and our server was very friendly. If we are ever back in the area, we will visit again.

I have never had a better Lavender and honey Latte and the cookies were absolutely delicious!!! I will be back for lunch because I saw the most beautiful shrimp dish being made for another customer.

Food and drinks are amazing! Food is always fresh and made to order. Some of my favorites are the pot stickers, salmon poke bowl, ramen, and Reese’s cookies and homemade cheesecake for dessert!

This place had a cool eclectic atmosphere. I noticed the nest industrial hardware and furniture, healthy unique plants, mugshots of famous singers/actors. I ordered an espresso martini and the salmon toast. It was all perfect 👍

Mugshots is simply delightful - relaxing atmosphere, super friendly staff, and good food. A smidgen more expensive than I would have liked but I pretty much feel that way every time I go out. I would HIGHLY recommend it!

Great concept. The coffee drinks were very good. My wife likes peppermint lattes and this place actually had one that you could taste the peppermint. We haven't seen that in a while. They have a few items on their menu that seem to be carefully chosen for their quality. Cool staff. Definitely going back.
