Our visit to the Decibel Music Record Label Store was fantastic. We stumbled upon the store and chose to do a photoshoot there, captivated by its stunning location and inviting atmosphere. The owner extended a warm welcome, making our experience even more memorable!

Warm, welcoming vibes and a HUGE selection of vinyls to shift through. Van, the owner, answered any questions I had and threw in an extra gift when I mentioned I'm visiting from the West Coast.

Amazing record shop that we happened to walk by. Thankfully we saw people walking out with records to realize what it was- such a wide selection and caring staff!

The best music store there is! The vibes were there, the customer service was even better, I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN. So many selections to choose from !

Best kept secret in the Shaw/Howard area!! Hidden gem, honestly. Walked in during a break from writing one day and the homie Jeff put me on to the collab album, “The Mizzell Brothers At Blue Note”. He was running the song “N R Time” (insanely ethereal transition mid-song) and I have not stopped playing that album since. They have all the classics no matter the genre and will gladly put you on to something new. From the sections of selections, to the listening station where you can post up at one of THREE record players to get dose of some addicting sounds;, there’s no way you won’t leave without a vibe or two! They seal the deal with a stamp on the bag. Pulling back up several times this summer!

Great selection, ambiance, prices and service. Solid tunes rotating while you shop. Picked some upbeat jazz for @garage_kissa and some slow jams/jazz standards for the wife. There’s listening stations, comfortable seating, nice rugs and a drum kit for live jamming. I’ll be back.

Another amazing shop in the city of DC! Great selection (Lots of the classics in each genre and some rarities in each, too), awesome prices (I found some gems/grails that were fairly priced) and great atmosphere (awesome and expert-level staff). This has all the makings of a "MUST STOP HERE" shop! I'm excited about what DC is becoming for record collectors and music lovers of all types. If you're reading this, plan a trip ASAP!

One of the best record stores in DC. Also a Black owned business. They are always super clean, organized, and willing to help with whatever you’re looking for. They have a great jazz and soul collection but also rock staples if you’re in it that. Awesome addition to the Shaw neighborhood. Stop by and ask for Van & Jef!

One of the best curated old school jazz, soul, and rap/hip hop stores. The owner and staff are excellent and very helpful. I am glad to have made the journey across town to purchase at their establishment.

Alright- I live right by this place, and I have been waiting for these guys to open up so badly. Finally a record shop on this side of town. They opened today, and they definitely met my expectations. Incredible available collections and records. They also have a couple of individual record players to enjoy their vinyls at the shop. Good vibes only- worth the trip!

Gobs of amazing, uncommon and rare records at fair prices. Bright space with great music on the decks. If this shop were in my home town, I’d go broke. Must visit.

This shop has an amazing collection of records, including a fantastic variety of jazz and rock, among many other genres. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, making recommendations and providing a space to listen to different records before purchasing them. They also have options for people across multiple price ranges, so no matter your budget, you'll be able to find something great! I'll definitely be back :)

Coming from Jersey Me an my Son walked a long walk from the Marriott Marquis to Decibel only to see the gate closed, tapped on the glass and they let us in. What a relief, The owners were very knowledgeable and the prices cant be beat. It is an upstart and filled with records and cassettes...

Great selection of records, I made a list of records to get and so far I’ve found a good 6-8 in my 2 visits. This the best record shop around imo, check em out fa shoo
