Best record store in town. Been collecting records for 40 years between Detroit and Phoenix and The IN GROOVE has been my favorite store and go-to for vinyl...new and used and all genres. Also, best prices paid and trade value anywhere around the Valley. Mike knows his stuff, great staff and very nice store. I HIGHLY recommend.

I’ve been watching the YouTube channel and buying online for some time now. Was in town for business so I decided to stop by. The shop was super clean and organized. Records were carefully stored and sorted by style and artist. Found several new additions to the collection. Wanted to meet Mike but I could see he was busy with other customers (he was actually doing a solid for a newer turntable owner who needed some help.) he was going above and beyond with the young man who will be the next generation of audiophile. Confirmed my love of the place. Will 100% be a lifelong customer.

I have found many Music Treasures at The In Groove. I always find something. I never leave with nothing ..Great Music Shop. Best Vinyl selection in town for new releases and plenty of weekly new arrivals in used Lps. Mike and Angel forever. And let's not forget Ben and Vivian what a super team. If you give your vinyl tender loving care your vinyl will last forever.

Still buzzing a bit, two days after my first (super productive) visit to In Groove. What a great record store! Tons of inventory (including a lot of surprising/rare-ish esoterica), every inch of which was meticulously well-organized, and entirely in exceptionally great condition (except where noted "check condition").

I ordered a mofi pressing of one of my all time favorite albums. When it arrived mofi messed up and packed 2 of the LP2 into the box. I reached out to the store and they shipped me the correct LP 1. Very happy that they took care of me as a first time customer and made it easy for me. I’ll definitely be ordering anything I can’t get from my local shop through this store. Heck I might even buy a flight to phoenix just to pop in and browse! Keep up the good work!

Really great store, loved it. Met Angel who seemed really nice. Really great selection and condition is king here, everything is cleaned and put into proper inner sleeves. Actually had a decent sized metal and electronic section, which is becoming a rarity. It was hard to find any "bargains", but you can rest assured you will get what you pay for. Also check out their YouTube channel, you can learn a lot from Mike.

Very knowledgeable staff they were helpful in picking out a turntable for my first one. Even though I have sold home audio for almost 10 years I didn't know much about record players. The guy didn't make me feel stupid and didn't try to upsell me but explained why I might want to spend more for the sound I want. They also have an amazing selection of vinyl and good prices!

I've been here twice, once in 2019 and once in 2022. Both times the staff was super friendly, and the choice of records was very good. European pressings seem pretty highly priced, but then I haven't seen any of these in other shops in the Phoenix area, so that might just be standard.

Of the many great record shops in the valley, The In Groove has their niche. Great selection and quality, and I’d love to say great prices, but good vinyl cost a lot today. I only wish I had the money to buy some of the great stuff I perused on my last visit.
Nice selection of new and vintage turntables and speakers too.
If you have not been and live in the valley, you gotta check them out.

I love this place. Vinyl is super clean and you can just get lost in here. I was there for at least three hours which was a pretty relaxing time overall. Found a couple of albums I’ve been wanting for a while now which aren’t easily found. Even bought one off the wall!

For years I've been an online customer but today I got to experience The 'In' Groove, in person. I've been buying records for over fifty years and I can safely say that this is one of the finest record stores I've seen both within and outside of the United States. The store is well organized, the used records are packaged correctly and the in - store music is played on a system audiophiles can appreciate. I was treated to Sinatra at The Sands with the Count Basie Orchestra. It swung. I'm certain to drop by again on my next trip to Phoenix.

If you are like me and live in an area with several record stores that for one reason or another cannot seem to get new releases stocked, shop at this store online. I’ve ordered several now and they are shipped super fast, and arrive in record times. They are also well packed in iron clad mailers, so you do not have to deal with constant returns. Also, check out the YouTube videos. You do not have to search for new vinyl releases, as he simply shows them to you. Some of the prices are higher than other record stores, but do not let that bother you. It’s worth a few more dollars to not have to waste time and money dealing with returns. I am not local so I’ve never been in the shop, but the online ordering is outstanding and stress free.

A treasure of a record store! Great collection of new and used records. The used record collections they buy are usually in amazing condition, and they ultrasonicly clean every used record they sell. Mike, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable about both music and stereo equipment. The wall of rare and special editions is impressive. I always find something great when I shop at The In Groove. Highly recommend if you love music and if you're in the Phoenix area.

If you live in the area then you know this is the place for audiophile records. The only shop I have even known to get hard to find titles in stock. Not to mention Mike has the largest current vinyl in stock in the area. Zia has nothing on the In Groove. The staff is very knowledgeable and if you follow their YouTube channel then you know this place has it all. If you are from out of state visiting and your into records then you have to do yourself a favor and stop by. This is my favorite shop in Phoenix.

More vinyl than I have seen since the 1970s.
They sell stero equipment too. Very knowledgeable people.

One of the best record stores I have been to. Clean, organized, friendly staff. Used records ultrasonically cleaned and placed in a fresh poly sleeve really shows they care. I found multiple UK pressings that I have never seen in person, reasonably and fairly priced. Highly recommend!

Love this store. I live 3 hours away or I'd be there every other day. As it is, it's once a month or so. Or when I run out of inner sleeves. I love their frosted inner sleeves. They must have them made custom or something. This last time I went I got mint copies (reissues) of George Harrison Live in Japan and Black Crowes Southern Harmony. Albums I've been wanting forever.
Another thing I love about the store is every record is spotless clean and in new sleeves. I love taking a record out when I get home and seeing that beautiful shiny surface.
The prices are decent. They're more expensive than I'd like, but that's the state of the industry. Both of those records I referred to were 30 bucks each. Which is pretty good for mint reissues. There's nothing careless about this store. They know what they're doing and they know what records are worth. So you're not likely to find a screaming deal, but you're also not going to get ripped off.
It's a great store with a fabulous inventory that's rotated in and out quickly. I'm heading down tomorrow and I can't wait.
