Maria's Diner

Heading out of Asheville took us through the Nantahala National Forest towards Andrews NC. Pulling into town, we spotted Maria’s Diner. We pulled in and found a delightful hometown cafe. Breakfast was delicious and the sausage gravy and biscuits magnificent. The vibe was cute and upbeat with old vinyl records decorating the walls and 60’s Oldies playing through the speakers. Our service was very good with our waitress accommodating a couple of our requests. The place was also very clean. We’ll definitely return on our next trip through and highly recommend you pull in for a simple basic breakfast or lunch. You won’t be disappointed.

This was such a great little stop with me and my son before our long roadtrip back to Florida. The hot chocolate was actually really good! The food was all pretty much classic breakfast foods. It was neat that there were praying mantis outside. The waitress was so friendly and made the whole stop worth while.

Cute little updated diner. Customer service was great! I was hoping to get pancakes unfortunately they offered either waffles or French toast. I ordered French toast with a side of sausage and was not disappointed. Great breakfast and good sweet tea. Really nice and clean atmosphere with old school records hanging around the restaurant. Definitely recommend!

This is the cutest place. My husband and I were there for breakfast and it was perfect. It was hot, cooked perfectly and so good. We're trying to time our next trip to the area so we can eat lunch at Maria's. Atmosphere was excellent and service can't be beat. The coffee was delicious.

Took a trip to Andrews with my wife. Maria's breakfast was absolutely fantastic. My wife's cinnamon toast was perfect - not sure I've tasted better. I had eggs, grits, and hash browns. All fantastic. Wonderful service. You should make this a stop if you are traveling that way.

Make sure you don't just drive by and pass this restaurant. I stopped for gas originally and decided to give them a try. I enjoy a cooked meal while on the road and this place is worth a stop. Eggs cooked well done, crispy hash browns with homemade biscuits. I had my waffle with a scoop of ice cream and made my day. The waitress was awesome and food did not take long to arrived after the order. Give it a shot if your hungry.

Stopped in for a late breakfast/lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Great food, great service and all at a very reasonable price. Will for sure be back!

My Mom What's born in 1947 and she'd LOVE HER ERAS MUSIC AGAIN 🎶 🎵 😀 ❤ 😍 I definitely know it's better than today's music which is a bunch of nonsense That's a little more respect that there are people in an era that will always be forever missed with great artists like Elvis Frank Sinatra, The righteous brothers, SO ON AND SO FORTH 😊

This is a small diner with booth and bar seating. They serve good, no frills, comfort food. Prices are still reasonable and the food is hot. I would dare say they are teaching a franchise competitor how to bring friendliness back to food service. The waitress was new but very prompt and she aimed to please the customer. When asked for more butter, she brought us melted butter in small cups. Wow, that made the meal much better (no joke). I dunked my toast in butter for the first time and found a new way of eating butter while clogging arteries at the same time! My doctor will love me... as might the funeral home director. Anyway, parking is limited but there is a side lot for extra. Bathrooms were cleaned but a bit dated. If you are passing by and want a quick meal with an 80s diner feel, don't pass this place without stopping for satiating the desire to consume mass quantities (thank you Coneheads for getting that one)

Great service! I definitely agree with other reviewers that Maria’s is by far, the best breakfast in the area! Fantastic waffles and the French toast was great too!

We stopped in on our way back from Cherokee this afternoon. The hamburgers and fries were really good. Would recommend and stop in again.

My buddy and I stopped for gas and Marias is in the same location. Good diner food, friendly servers and a fun atmosphere.

We eat here often. Old school style diner, with awesome servers. Food is good and always on point.

Breakfast was very good. Staff was great and pleasant. Coffee cup never got low.
