Big Creek Campground

Camp site was quiet, clean, with a creek running through the camp site and the campground was at the end of the road where past it requires 4X4 vehicles. As soon as the sun comes out it gets hot, however of you have a canopy, you will be comfortable in the shade. At night it cools down and feels really nice and you don't have to worry about being too cold in the month of July.

This was a pleasant surprise! The road takes you back off the highway quite a ways so that can be a little scary. But, the road was in good condition. I wish there were a few more signs early on to ensure we were going the right way. Beautiful area! Running water, amazing lighting on the surrounding mountains. Only about 12 sites. When we were there, only one other couple was camping.

Campground is 5.5 miles off Hwy 50, on a good gravel road. There are 6 to 7 campsites within the Big Creek Campground. Other cramping areas are available via boondocking. Campground has 2 vault toilets, no fee, most campsites are creekside. We camped Labor Day weekend, on Sunday 2021, had no problem find a site, by Monday everyone was gone, had Campground to ourselves. Quite, clean and in the canyon. We saw Jet fighters from Fallon air force base fly by at 9:30 am, cool/loud. Lots of Rabbit brush blooming, 🤧. In September

Very nice campground with great sites and views. Very well maintained and sometimes has live entertainment.

Nice campground, not very big, but good base camp for hitting the trails. Bring your off-road rides. Lots of trails to explore. Other places above the main campground to put up tents or good trailer with high clearance.

Big camping area. Quite and natural. Quality time with family without all the technology of the city. Planning on return visit soon.

Nice stop over, 2 bathrooms at the front and rear of the Campground. No hook ups. Nice little creek that runs the length of the Campground. Cell reception just a few miles west of the Campground.

Had a great hunting trip. Saw a lot of does but no bucks. Next year we'll stay in northern Nevada, colder and rut in the middle of the month.

Nice little campground with about 10 spots. The road to the campground is asphalt for the first two miles then becomes a gravel road for the next 11 miles. It's a good road though even for a Goldwing. The first mile of gravel has some clay on it which became very slippery after a rain. The rest was fine. Campground is next to the creek which was running nicely. Will camp here again next time through!

Cant beat the views riding around this area. We used one of the group camp areas with some friends and it was a great time.

Love this place it's quite the drive from highway but worth it.

Yeah buddy I'll be going back there again for sure I just didn't bring enough supplies and money with me didn't know I was going to catch three two and a half foot long 6 lb rainbow trout there's a lot of fish in that Creek and I also did some gold panning a little bit down the creek and ended up handing out 2.3 ounces of gold we stayed in our motorhome there for 6 days we're planning on staying for the whole 14 day free camping but as much gold as I found and those big fish me and your lady Patch It Up and go cash in for more supplies and full fuel and we're going back for the main vein unexpectedly why I couldn't believe these fish were to feed long huge rainbow trout in that Creek stay away from my goal you won't find it I'm going back to get rich this time
