A&W Restaurant

Didn't eat, just got drinks and floats, but wow! They had quick, carry out service. The root beer was awesome of course, and the floats were amazing. Everything was ice cold on a hot day! It was brought. To us by a girl with a friendly hello and a smile. You couldn't ask for anything more? It is great to be treated like a friend and not a number.

Love an A&W actual drive in. Its a shame it's not listed on the exit of 90. Luckily it was listed on our cars GPS.

My girlfriend and I took her granddaughter and her granddaughters brother to this restaurant after spending a day on a farm petting animals, going for a the hayride, etc. That means two adults, a 14-year-old boy with a big appetite, and an almost two year old girl. We ordered just under $40 worth of food. I personally ordered the root beer with my meal. I specified "original root beer in a frosty mug." The teenager ordered a root beer float, which also happens to come in a frosty mug. When I ordered the kids meal, I neglected to specify the drink.

After we chose a table and waited a few minutes, I went up to the counter and asked about the kids meal and more specifically, what drink the slip said was coming with it since I forgot to specify. They said if nobody specifies, it's always going to be root beer. I asked the gentleman if they could switch that to milk for me and he said that would be just fine, that they would do that. I went back to the table and we all were sitting around chatting about the day for a couple minutes, then the food came out.

All the sandwiches were correct (and delicious!) and the kids meal food was correct as well. However, the two frosty mugs that came out were both root beer floats. Now I enjoy the root beer floats for sure, but I ordered root beer because I like having just soda with my meal. Even so, I had no intentions of making a fuss about it because I'm just not that kind of person. Nevertheless, I did ask about the charge at least because I know that the root beer float would cost more. I wasn't going to worry about it because even if they did overcharge, that is if they did charge for the float, I got a float and so the right amount of money was paid for what we actually received, regardless of what I actually ordered. After they brought a root beer out for the little one, I asked them about the milk because it was a different person than I had talked to previously regarding that matter. She apologized and said she'd fix it, then walked away.

A minute later or so, she returned, along with a manger. They brought a fresh root beer for me (even though I told her the float is ok, I'll still drink it), a cup of milk, and an extra french fry. I mean an order of fries (can you imagine them bringing a single fry? I would have genuinely laughed, probably hysterically, and accepted it! 😂🤣) Oh yeah, and if that weren't enough, the manager also gave me 72 cents to cover the difference in price between the root beer and the float! I was incredibly grateful, of course, but as I said before, I was also content with what I received.

The manager again apologized for the errors. I told her it's totally fine, none of them were earth shattering and we were ok with it. The milk was my only must have as far as corrections go because I'm not giving soda to a toddler. I also thanked her profusely. I repeated my contentment with the root beer float. She said to keep it and the root beer, stating that refills are free and anything I don't finish can be poured into a to go cup so I don't waste or lose any.

Both the manager and the young lady who delivered our order in the first place were so kind, accommodating, and seemed to genuinely care about the customer experience. As a long time employee of many customer service jobs myself, I believe I can usually tell the difference between the fake customer service smile and the genuine desire to provide good service. They were both genuine as far as I could tell. My only regret is not getting their names so I could properly acknowledge their exemplary service and care.

In addition, all the food was excellent! Fries were fresh, burger was hot and fresh and tasted amazing and everyone in my group agrees. Overall, it was an excellent, amazingly delightful experience! 🙂🙂🙂

This is our very favorite restaurant in Edgerton Wisconsin that we love to go to! It takes me back to my childhood to go here and I am 65 years old! It's so cool where they have the drive up menus where you can order from your vehicle- just like in the 60s!
It has their wonderful delicious A&W traditional food and of course the yummiest root beer and ice cream root beer floats! The prices of their food and desserts are very family friendly! They even have a jukebox inside- we usually go inside and dine with our family and grandchildren! The staff is always friendly and helpful and they usually bring your food right to the table. We love making our family memories here! The restaurant is light and airy as well and I know children feel very comfortable -truly everyone of all ages do! Bathrooms were clean and fresh! Thank you A&W in Edgerton for making our family so happy! Can't wait to come back again soon!

I got their double cheeseburger, root beer float, and cheese curds. They were all delicious! Truly American food!

Great little restaurant! Food is very affordable. (2 burger combos for less than 15 dollars). Food is good, was slightly disappointed by the root beer float though. The root beer was warm and just did not taste good.

Update: the root beer tends to be hit and miss. Ice cream treats are yummy and affordable.

It was a nice visit the place was clean and tidy. The food we ordered was good and the order was correct. We loved the root beer floats with our meal. The people were very nice and the location was good. We were traveling on the interstate so my wife looked up places to eat and we picked the A&W so it looks like we made a good choice. I do recommend this place.

Fast and friendly service. Food was piping hot when it came out to us and very perfect memory Traditional A&W at it's best.

We always enjoy coming here as the staff is friendly and courteous. The food is tasty and the rootbeer floats are amazing. Lots of ice cream in them. You must try this place!
The medium sized float is not much bigger than the small.
The burger with bacon is very good.

This place is awesome. There aren't to many drive style places left. This one fits the bill. Great food and quick service. A guy working there even helped us jump start our car! Thanks again ! Definitely recommended! Root beer floats are the best! Go get one!

One of my favorite restaurants ever. I love all their food! The ice cream is a great deal. Cones are cheaper than regular price at McDonald’s and the ice cream is superior and you get like twice as much! I will never not recommend A&W!

Always a fun place to visit. Still has the order from your car drive ups. Can't beat fresh A&W root beer. A wide selection of typical fast food offerings. A nice old-school place.

I absolutely love A&W!! We are very fortunate enough to have one in my town. It's great that if you don't feel like getting out of the car, you can just pull up to the Drive-In and order outside. You can eat it right there with the tray hooked on to your window or, you can order your food to go. Their food is so delicious! Their cheese curds are definitely some of the best cheese curds you will get from a fast food restaurant!! I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to visit again soon!

Good food, service was quick and when you get a large milkshake you get a giant milkshake. Overall my family loved this place. It's cheaper than other places that are similar but that doesn't mean it's lacking in quality. Definitely recommend and will be going back.

We went there cause my mother in law toad us to and let me tell you it was dadgum delicious. The fries were crispy and golden. The burger was juicy and hot as a darn firecracker. And the root beer, oh my word was it tasty. Our waitress was just so darn nice and the purdiest little thing. We live 6 hours away but let me tell you, we’re gonna try our dangedest to get back soon!!

Exactly what one would expect. BBQ & Coney Dogs are good as was the chicken sandwich & fries. My choc shake was also delicious. Great service too.

What an amazing throwback to the old days where you drive up, order from your car and they bring it to you! Food is fantastic and service is fast. Only think missing are the carhops on roller skates.

There was a microscopic mistake made when they took my order from the drive up window. When I told the young staff about it they checked it out right away and the manager even came to my vehicle to offer to correct it. In the end, the concern they showed for me as a customer was much more important than fixing the tiny misunderstanding. Hats off on this visit for sure!

The food is yummy & the staff is friendly. As of right now you can sit inside or in your car under the carport to order and they bring the food to you and you eat in your car or you can take it with you. There are several spots under the carport to order from. It's a popular place to eat in Edgerton.
