This is the cutest little diner. Open seating and simplistic decor with soft fun colors make this a warm dining experience. The service was fast and accurate and the coffee was hot. The prices are very affordable and the parking was great. It wasn’t terribly busy or too loud. Really great experience.
Also a major plus is they have the QR code available on the receipt so I can pay at the table- no waiting!

If you love a traditional breakfast, this is the place. Small business with great taste. I had the Classic French Toast & it was delicious.

And yes I felt like my cholesterol meds needed something to do.

Fast with coming to take your order after delivering drinks and with the short wait.

We had ordered the Chicken Monterey, Catfish 6pc and a Cesar salad with chicken.
Every plate was well portioned and by God amazing tasting. I see why it's ratings are for and I'm happy I found a new spot on the weekends to visit!

PROs: Nostalgic small town feeling/location. Friday night, quick to be seated and served. Whole staff (not just our waitress) was friendly and attentive; good team work. Food was great. Catfish was meaty we did not come across hard & fried flour bits, impressed it was all fish.
CONs: Front parking is not ideal because of cross traffic, park to the side. Simple decor.

Hanna was good to us, she kept the fish coming when she noticed it was low. We experienced other fish fry places and so far Cowboys is top of our list the other places have been bumped down.

One of the best places you'll ever find to eat. Portions are huge and the food is good. Service is outstanding friendly. Just a place to go if you happen to be In the area. It's not the most atmospheric place I've ever been, but definitely worth the trip.

From the minute we walked in we felt important. The restaurant was busy but we never lacked for service. The staff was super attentive. The food was what you would expect from a restaurant rated so highly. The fish crust was crispy without being hard. The inside was white and flaky. Perfect cook. The chicken fried chicken was delicious. Teenager approved. Overall was a great find.

I had the healthy omelette with egg whites, spinach, mushrooms and chicken. Chicken was tender and flavorful. It came with a delicious salsa and perfect hash browns. The biscuit melted in my mouth. Great friendly service too.

Daniel was an excellent server...quick, polite, to the point. Best dining experience we have had in Lake Dallas in a while. Food was excellent, out in 5 minutes, and reasonably priced which is difficult to find these days. Will be returning often.

I went by about a week ago and got a bacon cheeseburger to go with fries. The service and the food were incredible. The atmosphere is nothing fancy. Felt kind of like going back in time to what was more normal 20 years ago, compared to what many places are doing today. But the service was incredible, super nice people. And the food was amazing. The bacon was thick and perfectly cooked, and they didn't skimp on it like many places do. The fries were amazing. The burger was huge and flavorful. I had to save leftovers for later. Will definitely go back.

The best things about this restaurant are the people that work there. These lovely people are always smiling, and have the most genuine smiles and friendliness. The fact the the food is always delivered hot and fresh and tasty to the table is just another perk next to the #1 reason we go there. Super cute place too.

My hubby found this place online so we decided to go and try it out. I got the fried fish with mashed potatoes and fries. OMG it was delicious. Great customer service and definitely will come eat there again.

A wonderful experience since the moment I walked in. I was have some car trouble, and decided to walk across the street and have some dinner. I’m so happy I discovered this place, because OMG!!!

The hospitality alone is worth coming!!

I had the patty melt with French fries and a bread pudding for dessert. Wife had the Monday special ( Chicken fried chicken) With country fries and fried okra, With a slice of key lime pie for dessert. Is food and service better than expected definitely 5 stars It's all over!

We have been here three times now and every time the service is amazing, the food is always fresh and hot. I am so excited that lake Dallas finally has a good mom and pop restaurant that makes quality meals.

My wife and I ate here this evening for the first time. It is a good casual family restaurant. The food was very good and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. We will be returning customers.

The chicken fried steak is better than old west. Old west is bigger but bland batter.
They are equally as fast.
They are on the spot with refilling coffee.

My sister and I tried this place for the first time and absolutely loved the food. She had the catfish dinner and I had the chicken strips. Both meals with 2 extra sides was only $32.00. The portions are very generous. The catfish and chicken are hand battered in house and the ranch is homemade. We will be loyal customers.

Food was good. The catfish was very good. Crispy but nut burnt. The staff was amazing and the prices so affordable. We will go back. Everyone needs to give them a try. Small town business and I dont know if its a family owned and operated but it feels like it because everyone is so nice and friendly. In todays world that is huge! Great job🤠

I had the chicken fried steak and it was wonderful. The portion was great, not too big and prices reasonable. I will be back to try the catfish.
