Hartles Subs

The original Hartles subs. Our town staple. Just as good for years. Love the original plain with house oil. Prices are now very high it's 11.00 for a whole sub. A steamer on a hot dog roll was 6.00

I called into see if there was anyway I could do a sandwich platter, same day, within 2 hours. I accepted I would have to cut my own cheese and whatnot because it's not the same size. They exceeded expectations. Put all my condiments and toppings on the side and in a nice platter. I didn't expect this. I'm highly satisfied and the quality has always been there. Thank you all very much.

I got Reuben today after seeing somebody post one on Facebook, causing me to crave one, I just looked for the first one I saw on DoorDash and decided to try this place for the first time. I've been wanting to try food from this place for a while anyways, enough today I'll be sure to stop by the store sometime and try some more subs cuz this sandwich was great. The DoorDash pricing was also very reasonable so I imagine their in store pricing is probably even better.

Cant go wrong with their subs here! Always piled high, they don't skimp on the meats. Always fresh and Always pretty fast.

I've been going to this place for the past three years. I pop in a couple of times a week. I only eat a half a sub at a time so I get 4 lunches out of two whole subs.

I've never ever been disappointed with their food. When I order online and stop in to pick up my order they see me and hand me my order without making me wait (because there's usually a queue).

The place could certainly do with a bit of a makeover but I guess the owner isn't too bothered.

The food and the staff especially the short woman and bloke with glasses are fantastic (I don't know their names but they know mine).

Here's what I got today. One chicken salad and one tuna salad. Sorry for the condensation inside the box, I pulled it out of the fridge for a quick photo. Just look at the food! You'll never get a sub like this from any franchise place.

I have been going there since I was my mothers child. I am now 77 years old, it's sSub. my favorite Sub place to go. Love the cold cut sub.

This is the sub shop. Subs are delicious, staff are friendly and have a sense of humor.

Love their subs!! If they have it, they will put it on it!! Time before last we were there they were out of horseradish sauce for my guy. Week later we decided to hit them up for lunch again. Guess what they had? Yup, horseradish sauce! 😊. Thank you for listening and going above and beyond for your customers!!!!

The staff were really friendly and went the extra mile to make sure I had a great dining experience. The food was fresh, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was inviting. I will be going again.

I've been all over. Wherever I call home I try to find a quite place to eat, vibe, and just enjoy my surroundings. These places are hard to fine, but after 3 months of living in Hagerstown I've found my spot. I'm a.simple man... always have been. I couldn't ask for anything more from this brilliant place. 10/10 on customer service, food(touches your soul), atmosphere, and amazing family- welcoming vibe. Almost like a pub back home would feel, minus the spirit spirits.I felt welcomed and comfortable... no bad energy. I look forward to my next visit and the many more to come. Sláinte

This is my wife's favorite sub shop in Hagerstown since she was a child. Very cool atmosphere, neighborhood shop. Good food, great service and always a nice change from the usual.

Super friendly staff. The subs were really good!! My whole family loves them & my mom has been going to Hartles Subs since she was a kid. I got the grilled chicken sub.

Absolutely AMAZING SUBS & friendly staff! I grew up enjoying Hartles Subs on special occasions. Now that I live in Sharpsburg, I'm able enjoy the Hartles more frequently. When we have guests visiting from other states, we ALWAYS introduce them to "The Very BEST SUBS you'll ever eat!" I choose their subs as my birthday dinner every year!

I've been going to Hartles for more than 60 years, I believe they openedin1955. I knew the whole family because I only lived 3 blocks from them and I went to school with their 3 daughters Beverly, Grace and Barbara. The store was in the bottom of their house, you could buy a whole cold cut sub for 50 cents now they are 8.95 I just bought one last week. To the best of my knowledge no Hartles are affiliated with the business now. The new owners never changed the name because they were so well known.

Quick, easy and good food! Don’t expect anything fancy. We will be back for sure!
