The meat is absolutely delicious! Order some tacos de birria & sopes de carnitas. They stuff it with meat. Homemade tortillas👌🏽 Their salsas are good, not that spicy though. It is a pretty small location, it is also a store! There are so many good Mexican products. The employees are very nice & patient.

OMG! What can I say about Authentic Mexican amazingness! I feel like everyones grandma and Aunties are right there sharing their home, kitchen, and love for food with me. Friendly staff, kept making eye contact and smiling. We ordered, asada burrito, asada Taco, bbq beef Taco, chicken enchiladas, some kind of green pork thing, and a red chicken soup thing. It all tasted amazing. And as an islander I can appreciate their generous portions. Very reasonably priced. I'm going to bave to come back before we leave in a few days.

I’m always happy to swing by El Campeon for their burritos. Good value for just under $10. Their combination plates aren’t bad either. This is my favorite spot for authentic Mexican food on the go. The interior is kind of a convenience store/deli with other Hispanic foods for home.

100% authentic Mexican grocery store with deli that has tacos, enchiladas, etc. Delicious food, and groceries, perfect for locals!!

It doesn't get anymore authentic than this! It feels like a taste of home, like I'm surrounded by my aunties and uncles I love it! Super friendly staff here - don't be discouraged if you're a first timer, they will take care of you. The prepared food is very convenient to pick up after work as it saves me some time from cooking. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable.

Best burrito in Orange county hands down. The food is amazing. Great market as well. It's my bad but If I spoke better Spanish I'd do better ordering, they got bilingual people there so you can navigate pretty easy.

It serves locals and like minded people delicious Mexican food. This location also has a wonderful selection of fresh meats and vegetables to purchase. A small but mighty Hispanic canned and dry goods area can also be found here.

I’ve been getting food to go from here for years. The food is excellent and authentic. They make fresh daily. The kitchen is very clean, and the service is great!

They prepare delicious Mexican food, tortas,tacos so delicious and they Hava I thing mondays, caldo de res I recommend 100% this place.!

Great little Mexican eatery and market with over-the-counter service. A few seats outside but not the most scenic location. Food is cheap and delicious and portions are generous. The market is reasonably priced with somewhat limited selection. I highly recommend their salsa verde, which you can get about a quart of for $5

Be prepared with Google translate or at least know some basic Spanish. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, and the fresh food is great.

Basic meat food place.. I mean they care more about the meat than salsas, or Customer service... great meat thou... but not as good salsas.... buy meat by the pund take home and make your own salsas.

I really enjoyed the plate I had, they have a pretty good selection of cooked food n their meat dept. Looked like it had a good selection as well. I highly recommend this place to try. Plus they have outside tables. For your enjoyment

This place has the best marinaded carne asada and chicken. They have everything you could want to bbq. They have a great take out section where you can buy food already prepped. Its excellent

Okay I'll do that for you that's what all the people that watch or read this site he was delicious you have burrito AA storage stews like I'm cooking and they have also a butcher section they have produce they have milkshakes and all kinds of juices etc etc I recommend. I've been coming here for the last 18 years she's my mom passed away

Doesn't get any more authentic than this. If you are looking for Mexican food made by Mexican people this is for you. Great service, great food.

They have a great Carne Asada Burrito! I didn’t expect much when I came in, the meat was really good and they gave a side of shredded lettuce, sour cream and two big slices of tomatoes

Food here is awesome. Best hole in the wall that you will find in Costa Mesa. Most Mexican food is not very authentic, but this place comes the closest I have ever seen.

Good food. Menudo is great. It helps if you speak Spanish
