I took my dog here for the first time today. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The Veterinarian and vet tech were lovely. My dog was very scared and they did the exam in the room rather than take him in the back to make him comfortable. The vet listened to the issue we're having and took the time to watch a video I'd taken. She explained what she thought was happening and what her treatment plan would be. I was given an estimate which they also went over. The cost was very reasonable. I had a great experience and have definitely found our new vet

My girl heeler Piper is 7 and the vet is not her favorite place, she's super nervous and usually looses her bowls ( sadly 😔) so this keeps me from. Bringing her. But something happened to her eyes, they were terrible and she was scratching them bloody. The clinic was able to get me in first thing in morning but they had me come pick up calm down meds before visit to give hour before we came. It worked like a champ, she was calm and let them do everything they needed to do ( with a muzzle of course lol ) the patients and compassion they showed for my piper ♥ is second to none. I've been coming for years my entire extended family also brings all pets here. Love this place.. also ladies up front are the best.. thank you all. It's been 2 days and her eyes look so much better.😉

Rathdrum Animal Clinic has been our go-to for years. Their patient and understanding team took the time to thoroughly explain the upfront deposit, providing flexibility in today's hectic world. We have never received more excellent Vet services! Inland NW got us in the day we needed surgery for our dog and were available the very next day in helping us when we couldn’t give our puppy the prescribed pain medication. Additionally, our puppy wasn’t eating so Dr. Kern fixed that too by trimming her muzzle and giving her baby food - which she devoured.
Dr. Kern and her assistant Nicole also were key in communicating with our own Veterinary Clinic and when they were unable to provide a service, then found an alternate Vet that could.
They are Amazing and we are Thankful!

Dr. April Sherman and her staff are all very accommodating and friendly! They answer any questions you have and will make suggestions that might be good for your pets.
Dr. Sherman has been our vet for the last 30 years or more for 4 of Golden Retrievers! When she purchased Rathdrum Animal Hospital and moved to Rathdrum, we left Coeur d'Alene and followed her to Rathdrum. It's makes a longer drive for us than where she was before, but it's so worth the time to drive there.
Dr. Sherman is a great vet, but she has a good heart and cares so much about peoples pets! We love her and will always be with her. Right now our last Golden is turning 15 years old on Easter! He had and event that scared us we didn't know what it was. We called the office and April gave us an appointment for Buddy right away! She was so sweet with him and also with us.
We know he's getting to be old for a large dog. She talked to us about what we could do to keep Buddy comfortable and also about saying goodbye to him, when the time comes. We were provided with a folder with all the things we can watch for as Buddy goes along, and what to do when he's at the end of his life. It was sad to hear, but on the other hand it was good to know what to expect! April was very sweet to us and Buddy, and we knew she felt sad just like us. She's a caring vet and has good knowledge on your pets. We have sent many new clients to her over the years and everyone has thanked us for recommending her. They all are happy to drive to Rathdrum to have such a wonderful vet. We love her and believe she's one of the best vets in our area! If your looking for a wonderful vet. They took great care of my dog after he passed. I had him cremated and put in an urn so he could be home and remember as a dear member of the family. They were very understanding of what a loss I had. It was very much appreciated.

Great place to go for my pets, everyone is friendly , it is clean and professional. Rachel the vet tech and Dr Kreamer were great!

Our 9 year old Boxer/Shepherd mix, Kiev developed a lump on his neck/jaw over a couple of weeks. We treated it at home until we realized that it had grown significantly in size over the last two days. I called up Rathdrum Animal Clinic since Kiev had been seen before. They were able to fit him in the next morning. We were welcomed by the front desk staff and after updating some paperwork, Katy helped us to an exam room. Katy was great with Kiev and I appreciated the compassionate support and dialog (Thank you). Dr. Rachel quickly recognized and diagnosed the lump as an abscess. They were able to operate on him that morning and by late afternoon, a little groggy, but happy to see me, we headed home.

Our recently re-homed dog received the most tender loving care from Dr. Sherman and Rachael. All issues were addressed perfectly! We were pleased as always and have had 5 dogs cared for here for 12 years.

Dr. Sherman is the BEST!!! She is so empathic to my concerns for my dog and my rabbit. She was so kind and thoughtful when I had to put some of my rabbits down due to cancer. I get very stressed when they are not well and she goes over and beyond what I would expect from my vet. Love you Dr. Sherman!

My cat after her visit to the Rathdrum Animal Clinic. Lily was suffering with itchy skin and an inflamed sore she had scratched bald, but after a couple of shots she can relax with no more itching! See she feels so great!! The clinic was so kind and caring she was a very good girl. Thank you so much.

I was going to a different vet office, but they transferred ownership and became all business and felt like a number in line. My daughter referred me to this vet office and they are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend very highly.

They are the most compassionate, and carrying people, their doctors are wonderful we have Dr Sherman but we have seen other doctors too! They take care of your Fur babies, And check up on you when they are sick, We are so fortunate that we were able to get in as new clients, last year because good vets are usually full and can't take new clients, but if they have an opening I would definitely snag it you won't be disappointed they are awesome!!! 😀 👍🤩🥰

I would like to give a shout out to Rathdrum Animal Clinic for getting my pup, Mamie, in for a drop off appointment for an ear infection. I really appreciate you saw her today and treated her ear infection with a long lasting medication, so she doesn’t have to have her ear “messed with daily for weeks!” You guys rock!

Rathdrum Animal clinic is great! They really do care about my pup “Goose”. I don’t feel like I’m being rushed during my dogs appointments and I feel like they really listen to me and my concerns.
