Such a lovely store. I purchased lip gloss, lip liner, and pressing powder unique to my melanin. The makeup artist was very honest and knowledgeable about what products to use and how to use them for various things. I walked out feeling smart and pretty.

The store is simply lovely, and theybhave a great selection of products. The owner was extremely kind and the consultant was incredibly knowledgeable about skin care and make-up. I received a free make-up consultation, and the consultant was spot-on with the right shades for my skin. I walked out with some great products and new tips on skin care and make-up application.

My go-to spot for Black beauty and skin care! Kim is the best!! Service and quality of products is always on point!

I took the “Teach me how to do it class” and had the best time with Sandi. She was patient and encouraging. Afterwards she gave me great recommendations on a skin care routine. I used the products she recommended and after 1 day I saw a noticeable difference. My skin was softer that it had ever been. 100% would recommend taking the time to check out the store and work with the team in one of the private classes.

It’s officially the only place I plan to buy skincare from ever again. They are affordable, extremely effective, and leave my skin feeling fresh. Thank you Marjani team!!

This is such a wonderful beauty store! The owner helped me get matched and knew the perfect shade for my skin. There are also many clean and green products for those with sensitive skin like mine. And the product selection is stellar!

Not based in DC but love visiting this shop when I'm in town: always cleans; has interesting and fun new products; staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. I just placed my first online order with Product Junkie (after watching some of the their videos highlighting their products on Instagram) and my items came so quickly. I was pleasantly surprised. Excited to try out my new products now!

Super cute setup. They have some of my favorite black brands in store like Ginger & Liz, and they have products from brands I've been dying to try like Beauty by Africa Miranda and AJ Crimson. The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I kept running back and forth to the register with products. My only complaint about the store is that they don't have small baskets or totes to carry around with you while you shop.

I'm so glad I found this store! I had such a good experience with great customer service. The person who assisted me was very kind, helpful, and shared tips on the products I needed. I will definitely return in the future!

I go here all the time. Basically don't go to any other beauty supply stores in person anymore. The owners are amazing, the space is beautiful, the products I've gotten from there have all been dope, and the events they have (and private events they offer) are all fun. I definitely recommend hosting a girls' glam party here when things normalize again.

Love this place! Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon some months ago just to browse and had such a great experience. The owners were super friendly and personable. The shop is gorgeous. I learned about several black owned beauty and products and got to experiment with a couple. Looking forward to going back.

This place is adorable. They carry a variety of products for skin and hair. I made a custom clay mask that I love to use. The owner was friendly, kind, and helpful. And if you can't visit, they do have an online shop.

I love everything about Brown Beauty! I love what it stands for, how cute it is, the amazing events, and of course the products! Sometimes it can be overwhelming to find products just for you, so we run to the big box stores. However, Brown Beauty gives you options for hair, lips, eyes, face, AND body but you also get BOMB customer service ... that rarely exists these days. When I popped in to shop, I thought I was shopping with my two girlfriends, they were so welcoming. My new go-to place for makeup. ❤ PS- the AJ Crismon lipsticks are perfect for brown skin tones.

BBC has elevated my skincare routine!

From the black soap cleanser to the neroli exfoliator, the products (made for melanated skin by people with melanin), show black women how differently skincare can be when we are not an afterthought.

I also discovered Shaffali and Sistine through BBC, which has shown my skin the moisture it craved but didn't know was possible!

I love love this store, the owners are pleasant and the products are wonderful, for years I was wearing a concealer from MAC thinking it was the closest color to my complexion, well this place proved me wrong and they had my exact match.
